were the performers briefed why the hit musicale "Miss Saigon" came about? they might have seen only clips on youtube, they have to research further...i dont feel any emotions here..they were all about just performing..but not really conveying the message of the musicale....sorry, imho, didnt do justice to the musicale....and that is my opinion...

That well known play mentioned Saigon's woman - Vietnamese, but in fact it has never been played in Saigon - my home town where i live. I wonder Y ??? And mostly the young generation in my country dont even know about the existing of that play but my lecturer - a phillipinese - she does.

something you guys have to know is that almost all of these people have no experience with dancing or singing. usually you'll get a handful of girls and one or 2 guys that know what they are doing, and its up to them to shape up these "greek" people to put on a show. its all in fun. and its the largest student run fundraiser in california. and as far as leads and everything, you have to know that politics and seniority play a large part.

It's not that they tried too hard or were badly cast. They were fit for the part and do have good voices, but they sound tired. When you're tired, you'll hear a few squeaks because it's unsupported. I wouldn't give them crap about not being able to sing, because that's not the case at all. Sometimes your body just poops out and they need to remember to breathe, sleep, and support that breath. It happens to lots of singers.

i realli realli loved heat! great staging great choreography extremely well executed !!! girls were brilliant and guys could dance! i loved the jumping splits! it is actually the first time i have seen it stage were the guys actually dance! unfortunaitely kim and chris are vocally too weak! not bad singers just not good enough for to extremely demanding roles! i think male vocals are extremely good! brilliant staging guys wit a show that is not easy to stage!

Even the "Heat is on in Saigon" was too powerful to handle...unbelievable. The girls were over dressed as well and the guys are dressed nothing like soldiers.

The girl who played kim never sang before in her life!!! She learned how to harmonize and sing in one month! That's pretty awesome. But if you're still not impressed, you should see her do ballet, She's awesome!!!

7 of the 8 girls had dance experience, 1 of the 8 had vocal experience. For the guys, none of us have any dance experience, hell this here was the first time i've ever done anything of this caliber, or anything dance related.

You actually did quite well for sorority/fraternity kids...I'm quite surprised! Very well staged, well danced, well executed, considering it's college. I'm especially impressed with "Heat"--it looks real, like how a bunch of marines would actually "dance." And this music is not easy for non-singers--the crazy rhythms in the "Fall of Saigon" number are KILLER. It's kind of "actory" in parts (Chris indicates like crazy, a young-actor habit) but still a very worthy effort. You should be proud.
