  • reece wynans on keys

  • Sound check, lol Fucking beyond wicked man

    Cheers & Thanks

  • Man I miss him!!! I wish i could have gotten to see him play live!! Each ERA has their own special guitarist.. We had Stevie, those before us had Jimi, and those before them had and still have Buddy. "Can't ya just see the tears rollin down the street"

  • I hear this song is dedicated to a guitarist by the name of Paul in Michigan with messed up ears.

  • Nice! Like this one for the melodic calms on another front I'd like to recomend Houston 1983.

  • even thou i luv stevie's guitar playin the greatest of all time was hendrix who which is obvious was a great inspiration to stevie , i don't think there is to many that can cover it like stevie could he was a great loss to the music world

  • Now i dont feel bad im nit the only dude that cried a little

  • I think of this my dad everytime I hear this song now, he got me into SRV @ like 9 years old and @ 28 I still love SRV.. My pops passed away May 2011 and I found an alternate little wing version and made a slide show @ his memorial. Ironically Little Wing was one of my dads and my favorite songs.

  • That keyboard made this twice as powerful, was a great call to add him to the roster. cant remember his name off hand though.

  • Octavia! Euphoria! Very nice

  • Ya, come on Bill!

  • Im absolutely stunned by this peformance. I was born a few years after his time, but still, i think Stevie Ray Vaughan is the greatest guitarist of all times. I have never seen and heard him in action with my own eyes and ears. For everyone who have heard, and meet him alive, it must have been a unbelievable great honor. His talent was, and is; remarkable. He is such an incredible inspiration source for everyone who likes the Blues. R.I.P Stevie. Im a Big fan. Sadly, you left us too early.

  • WOW!! As I sit here typing through my tears, I MUST say I have NEVER heard Stevie play this with as much SOUL, publicly or privately. It's a privilage and an honor to have broke bread (& a few strings) with you, my Brother, RIP love.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS!!!

  • @ayotte61 Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. It means a lot. I love reading stories about Stevie!

  • This version is special....When people say that a song has soul! this is what they mean!!!

  • 21 years ago you left us man, i never met you but you taught me so much... rip bro

  • This just leaves me speechless along with sending tears streaming down from my eyes. The talent he had and the ability to just soothe people through music. This version along with Rivera Paradise are two songs to calm you down reflect.

  • this... this is the best stevie ray vaughan anything ive heard. holy balls this mezmerized me!!

  • Almost 21 years since he's been gone, and he still amazes me. I haven't heard this one before. It's so good to hear this with the organ of Reese Wynans too. Absolutely beautiful. Jimi and Stevie are all there is as far as I am concerned.

  • thanx to youtube there is so much more of this mans genius, light for us to enjoy

  • makes me wanna cry. fucking amazing

  • I'm 37 and still get tears in my eyes when I heart that unmistaken, undeniable, unforgetable sound from SRV. I agree @rumblebeast08 ....loved it when Reese joined the band.

  • I was at Alpine Valley Aug 1990 when he died. I will never forget that.

  • Can I dislike becuase I can't play like that? So amazing, great touch.

  • This might actually be my favorite version of Little Wing ever...

  • Actually this is said to be the last known recording of Little Wing.

  • Damn right, zero dislikes. I love you all

  • The octavia pedal adds so much to it. Cuts right through me in those moments. Fly on Stevie!

  • @leach34 You got that right! He sure did know just when to kick it on and add that extra something special with the octave pedal!!

  • everytime i hear him play little wing wowwwwwwwww gives me goozebumps and makes me so saaaad why do all the greatest of all time die young, DAMNIT I MISSSSS HIMMMM!!!!! :'( gone but never EVER! forgotten.......

  • Hey thanks for the upload! Check out my account for an other Little Wing where Stevie is sober:)

  • @jezus3rd You've posted a bunch of Stevie vidoes that are out of this world. Thanks again for not disappointing this diehard Stevie fan!!

  • Thats how a guitar should be played

  • @hockeytd You got that right!!

  • @hockeytd Amen

  • I actually was at this show. It was INCREDIBLE. He went and played at the Key Largo nightclub after.....I was bummed because I wasn't 21.....oh well.....he didn't play this particular tune during the show, so this must be a soundcheck. I remember at one point he tripped over some misplaced cables onstage. He almost took a header but he didn't miss a note. His boot came off....he was wearing green socks!! I thought that was pretty cool....Anyway, he's gone, but DEFINITELY not forgotten.

  • @tweeznax I just found someone who tapped the show. And I listened to it the other night....amazing! He opened with Wall Of Denial and ended with Voodoo and Third Stone back to back. The ending just blew me away!!!!! And green socks, that's pretty funny haha

  • just beautiful......so this is what it sounds like when a man and a guitar fuse into one being...just beautiful........praise God for giving us the ability to enjoy music!

  • damn that sounds great, nice riffs in there

  • I've read in this bios and elsewhere that Stevie's soundchecks were actually mini concerts. Amazing. I haven't been there in awhile, but the acoustics at the Schnitz' are supposed to be awesome. This must have been a terrific concert. And you're so right. Stevie is still with us. He never really left, and his music will never die.

  • @SRV4evr Oh yeah, I bet this was an amazing concert! I wish I could find the complete show though, it would really put it all together for me!

  • I wish it could be single person in the world who could be able to play like this in newer time!

    RIP Stevie! <3

  • maestro cuando te fuiste se fue la magia.

  • amazing...miss u Stevie..

  • he is still with us my friend. you will know it when the power is pulled and the music continues to fill the gray room.that is gods gift to us for needing him before we were done with stevie. and that is the greatest blessing of all, cherish it, pass it on

  • @ibazumbas Amen! It happens to me 24/7!!

  • How come those people talking weren´t crying their heart out!!!

Sound check??? With no audience??...Fuck, can´t imagine how was the concert...

Stevie...I never know you, but I still miss you

  • Awesome...this is a really great version of the song..

  • My goodness this is such a special performance! I feel bad that it was just a sound test and an audience didn't get to experience this song.

This is quite possibly the most powerful I've heard Stevie play this song before. I can only imagine how great that concert had to have been because it sounds like him and the band were really on it that day. Well, they were on it every day but there were just times when Stevie was EXTRA special.

  • Oh I know, this sounds just amazing. I've got to get Stevie's last Third Stone From The Sun up on here too. And that was beyond amazing as well!

  • Ya, I'm going to have to take the time to learn how to play this song. Then once I know the album version I need to try with all my might to learn to play it like this.

I'm serious when I say that I nearly cry every time I hear this song reach 1:57, It's just that powerful.

  • I've got goosebumps.... sounds like Stevie is messaging from Heaven. Wish he was still here on this world....

  • You better believe it!!

  • Soundcheck; feels like I'm sneaking a peak; wonderful

  • oh my god, this is... just beautiful...

  • Brilliant! I love it!

  • Brilliant indeed!!

  • The keyboard/organ in this song make it sound really ominous. Almost more sad that the song already is. Makes me really miss Stevie...

  • @rumblebeast08 Excellent point! The organ adds so much to the overall energy.

  • Comment removed

  • haha thats no bullshit either that dvd was fucking hilarious! alot it is all true thats the funny thing about it "it's all bullshit and it's bad for ya" hahaha

  • I wish SRV was still with us & know how

much all of his fans miss him so dam

    very much.God what a Great Guitarist &

Song Writer he was. What a Talent we all

lost in August '90.His Music Still Rules..

  • I'm with ya on that one. It's a shame I was born to late to witness his brilliance up close and personal. But I'm sure he's up there smiling down at each and every one of us fans!

  • SRV. My favorite players. He is very much missed.

  • Man thanks a lot! I thought he had never played it while being clean. Concerning the stiletto rain version it's freaking awesome, so much feeling in the song, you can really feel he's in pain.

  • Thanks for stopping by, I love Dirty Pool from Montreux in 82! And yeah it was a real shocker and treat for me when I stumbled across this version. And yeah the Stiletto Rain version almost brings me to tears just thinking about how much pain he was in. Thank goodness Stevie got clean and was able to do it for as long as he did

  • can you please send me a link to the stiletto rain version?? it sounds like a must see for the whole world!!

  • Very cool. thanks for sharing

  • You should hear the version from the bootleg 'Stilleto Rain' recorded in '85 at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It had Reese playin keys on it too, an outstanding version. This is too.

  • I actually have that bootleg and yeah you're right, it's pretty amazing, just like this one!
