My memory of "Sweet Adeline" (6:06 sec) may actually come from my father's tenor voice. It is the memory of a memory, as my father would have been reminiscing of his own youth. The emotional sentiment is the same, undiminished, through his generation and through mine, steeped in memories of a past era. Emotion has the longest and clearest memory, and is that part of us that remains beyond mortality. Here's to the emotion of memory, sweet Dad.
