i thought this was the begining of the race then i c them all run isnt it biking

It is the beginning of a mountain bike race. It is called a LeMans start. LeMans starts are used in bike racing when you have a very large pack of riders. The run allows the pack to thin (some run fast, others slow) before they get on the bike.
