  • She was effin gorgeous and had a killer body

  • Ellie Mae would Kick her ass !!

  • I just saw this movie for the first time yesterday . I really enjoyed every part . Great songs ,so wonderful to hear .

  • That's my Mother in the green dress to the right around 2:30. I knew she danced the part, but I had no clue she was that far in front.

  • maybe not one of elvis best movies, but i watch it atleast every year, its one of my favourites althought it aint the best he did,

  • I really enjoyed this. Always a big fan of them both.

  • donna douglas is perfect

  • i wish my name was johnny

  • Just realised! That's the Colonel from MASH, well, eventually

  • @WinterBornActual

    And Gannon from Dragnet

  • Oh your claws are showing!!

    And they scratch ;-)

  • i see col. potter too

  • i watched a documetery about the beverly hillbillys and after doing this movie with elvis she was in love with him

  • Did Donna Douglas sing her own lines in this film?

  • BTW - the brunette on the left (at 0:38) is Sue Ane Langdon, a very underrated hottie. No idea who the other hot blonde in the yellow outfit is.

  • i remember seeing this on TV in 1970: "Saturday Night at the Movies?"

  • She's my cousin! Well, she was my grandma's cousin but yeah lol. I met her at one of my other cousin's funerals a few years ago, she's soooo nice :) Wonderful lady. My mom saw her in Winn Dixie on New Years Eve, too.

  • WHERE CAN I GET A SUIT LIKE THAT?

  • The red-head (Nellie Bly) makes Donna Douglas look sick. Donna supposedly fell in love with Elvis and was messed up over it, his not wanting her.

  • Short guy with the blue vest and white shirt is none other than Harry Morgan...the Colonel on MASH and a bit player in so many other roles...I think he even played Vaudeville...I know Irene Ryan did (Granny from the Bev Hillbillies) and her husband...which inspired George and Gracie's bit....amazing isn't it? And Elvis.well damn...no more be said.

  • She is one "Hot" blonde. Fine, Fine Legs!!!!

  • I have seen this movie, but didn't know that Frankie is Nelly from the Beverley Hillbillies.

  • Agreed, she really was a beauty.

  • All they got from robbing a bank back then was 700$ dollars?

  • Ms.Donna just spoke the word of God to me!

  • This film is a remake of Meet Me In Las Vegas with Cyd Charisse...

  • Catfight with Frankie and Nelly!!! GO FRANKIE!!!!

  • Hot dog! There's some swell dames at that tavern!

  • qanyone else think he elvis and johnny bravo have the same voice lol

  • Frankie and Johnny was written just for this movie. Later it was recorded on Elvis's tape Elivs at the movies songs from all the movies he was in.

  • Where did the whole Frankie and Johnny thing start anyway? There's a lotta songs about it and they're all different. What was the original story?

  • @bentaxle Feel free to check out the version by 'Coppillie' here on youtube - "It's my fate to put the record straight!"

  • Donna was surely beautiful with a great figure

  • Not so big on Elvis, but Donna! OMG! She was so beautiful! Even as Ellie May ;)

  • Elvis have to be best looking man in history!!!!!! <3

  • that redhead is HOTT!

  • those chicks are hot, I hope Elvis tapped that

  • "Ellie May Clampett" and "Colonel Sherman Potter" (piano) I recognize. But who's the goober in the red shirt who winds up getting shot? He looks familiar. Was he one of the Beatles?

  • @slmacph LOL!!

  • @slmacph lmao

  • Donna douglas was hot but that brunette was hot too--ha!!!

  • Way out of Elvis' style though, but he was/is, the King

  • How gorgeous was Donna Douglas ??

  • @STU676 "WAS" is correct; have you seen her today?

  • wats the name of this song???

  • will say one thing Donna has always been a looker and real easy one the eyes....

  • I know that Donna is still alive. Did she do her own singing in this movie? Or did someone stand back stage and fill in for her?

  • 2:50 for the song. Thanks for posting the video.

  • Seems Elvis suggested the idea for this movie to the powers that be! Of all of his light musicals, this one was the most "different" - supporting star Sue Ann Langdon said she was more proud of this film than "Roustabout".

Had Johnny Carson's TV Director; some very strong numbers.

Gotta say, however, coulda been waaaay better.

  • i just met her the other day (in both our home state of louisiana) she is one of the kindest christian woman i have ever met...

  • Good movie. I love ELVIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I liked this one.

  • elvis voice is just unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wonderful, just awsome. what a voice!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant, thankyou

  • Elvis Remembered. 16, 8, 09.

  • If i could give this song a mark out of 100,i would give it a 100!

  • 10/10

  • I keep expecting Granny and Jethro to walk in!

  • Comment removed

  • Elvis was a great actor but his talents were never to be used because of Colonel Tom parker insisting he hit the coals when they are hot on Elvis's sex appeal, so thats when he did teen movies and 60s surfer girl movies.

  • I'd have much rather seen her shoot 'em with her double barrel slingshot.

  • Excellent 5 *****

    Thank knowingElvis for sharing

  • OMG! I haven't seen this in years

I love, love ,love this movie

Thankyou so much for sharing this, you have a good heart:)

    I'll take Elvis:)

  • Lol...This is even more funny...

  • What do you mean Knowing .? This is great stuff, I just may have to change my name to Frankie, and Elvis YourTheReason...

  • your Elvis= the orignal "Dawg" bark bark.......Elvis will always beeeeee Elvis!

  • This is such a fun movie! I love watching it!

  • Great fun to watch. Thanks!!

  • donna douglas is my 5th cousin

  • yeah, Donna was beautiful and she possesed that same quality that Marilyn Monroe did.. anyone out there agree?

  • JohnnyGNV..you are indeed right. It was Eileen Wilson

  • I love it by the Stray Cats =)

  • Gentlemen, let this be a warning to all those who would toy with the affections of a hillbilly. Ellie May Clampett don't take no shit from nobody.

  • Who Sang for DONNA DOUGLAS in this movie? It sounds like EILEEN WILSON, who sang for many actresses in those days. In fact, some of Donna's speaking portions sound like they have been looped in by someone else.

  • Donna Douglas was hot!!!!!!!!

  • This must have been between wars 'causin' Sherman T. Potter be in dis show.

  • Great version of a fantastic song!

    JCRS

  • this was a really good movie and I loved this part

  • Donna Douglas was beautiful!

  • And still is........

  • I keep expecting Granny and Jethro to walk into the scene.

  • omg it's Elly Mae

  • Frankie and Johnny (the album) was not bad but the mix was bad in my opinion. they (recording studio people)didn't take the time to do at least a decent job on it.

  • Elvis never considered himself a serious actor and "Frankie & Johnny" was one of his worst films. The actos in this movie just seem to stumble through it. Donna Douglas was funny on The Beverly Hillbillies, but frankly, she wasn't much of an actress, just easy on the eyes. Elvis was a singer, not an actor, and he was the first to admit that.

  • That was great. so perfectly danceing and reat music perfect beats

  • Its been written that Donna Douglas fell hard for Elvis while filming this, and was depressed for a long time when nothing came of it.

  • I enjoyed the mentioned movie & found his acting good. I loaned this movie to a friend & she was surprised how well he acted. I also thought that he did a very good job in "King Creole".

  • Most critics rated these as some of his best movies-"King Creole", "Love Me Tender", "Jailhouse Rock", "Viva Las Vegas". "King Creole" & "Viva Las Vegas" have some incredible musical numbers.

  • Actually, Donna Douglas was from the south so her voice in the Hillbillies is closer to her real voice than her voice in this clip. You can kind of hear her accent on some words...

  • @sparkyatzo u r right

  • She WAS HOT!

  • Wow, Donna Douglas talking in her REAL voice

(as opposed to talking like Elly May)!
