Sounds like the Legend of Zelda has always been heavily influenced by Judeo-Christian themes. The Triforce is an obvious reference. I remember that Ocarina of time had to actually change some musical themes as well as some symbols on Link's shields to avoid conflict with Muslims. Majora's Mask had a whole temple based around the Tower of Babel.
