Love this song, and miss hearing it. I don't believe that I've heard it sung in church since I was a little girl. At least 30 years. Wow. Thanks for sharing.
It is amazing that some people can read the bible so much and yet not understand what they read, well, perhaps it's as the Ethiopian eunuch said, "How can I, except some man guide me? Acts 8:31. Well read this! In Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Now if you are serious about being saved you won't lie to yourself and believe that there's salvation in the titles, Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost!
Beautiful! Found by miracle. I typed Bishop R.C. Lawson, Establishmentarian of the Churches of our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. 2 my surprise there's a recording on YouTube. I typed Bishop G.T. Haywood & saw this song. E-mail me, & I'll send u 7 REASONS WHY WE BAPTIZE IN JESUS NAME! Wash me...cleanse me from my sin. Psalm51:2 Save me, O God, by thy name...Psalm 54:1.Remission & Forgiveness of sins is in the NAME,(because your sins are forgiven you for HIS NAMES SAKE) 1John 2:12
NO WHERE in the Bible was the baptism 'INTO THE MAME' of Jesus, associated with water. John the Baptist himself said Jesus would baptize with the 'Holy Spirit & Fire'. So,why are silly,so called Christians, baptizing in water, when the Bible never instructs us to.1Pet3:21,Col 2:8-13<---- Water forbade,& without hands.
Baptism into the 'NAME' of Jesus has nothing to do with water. No where in the Scripture is there a command to be baptized in water.I challenge anyone to show me chapter & verse.
@TroddinSod Act 10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Act 8:36 As they were going along the road, they came to some water. The official said to Philip, "Look, there's some water. What can keep me from being baptized?"
@moemoe56 The answer to Peter's question, "Can any man forbid water?" is YES!!! The water could be forbidden.
There is no need for water since they were filled with the Holy Spirit. They were simply baptized or immersed in the NAME of Jesus, which means they were imbued with the Character and Authority of Jesus through laying on of hands and further discipleship.
There was no command in Acts 8 nor was the Eunuch baptized in The Name of Jesus. It was gentile conversion baptism.

Besides there is neither Jew nor Gentile in Jesus Christ. We have a common salvation. Anyone who tries to come any other way than through Jesus is a thief and a robber. And the common salvation comes through Jesus and our baptism is common. Should anyone be able to show me any one place where the baptizer said, "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" it will be settled. I can show 4 places where the baptizer said in the name of the Lord Jesus.

And in considering that the normal procession of conversion in Judaism was through a Jewish Mikveh it is paramount that since Jesus fulfilled the Jewish ceremonies and feasts...that we be baptized (mikveh'd or immersed) in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins-Acts 2:38
@moemoe 'baptidzo' does not mean to dip.'Bapto' means to dip.Further, baptidzo does not require water. In fact,John the Baptist himself said Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit & Fire-NOT water. Also see,Mat20:22 the baptism discussed is obviously not water. So. your premises are false and hence your conclusion is bogus. There's no command for baptism in Jesus' Name that is associated with water. The closet you get is Acts 10,but Peter's rhetorical question is answered Yes.You can forbid water.
WOW..Amazing song..My grandmothers uncle made a translation of this song in spanish. The name is El nombre Del Mesias(The Name of the Messiah). Brother Antonio Castañeda Nava was his name. He was a founding father for the Apostolic Assembly and Iglesia Apostolica(Apostolic Church)
5th or 6th Generation Apostolic and still standing firm in the Word of God.

This is great do you have more coming soon Bishop Haywood was such an inspirational person the life he lived for the Lord Jesus Christ really inspires me. Thank you so very much for this.
Absolutely beautiful!!! I heard there was a service one day where Bishop Haywood taught baptism in Jesus name and Gods glory was so strong, that there was a misty haze that appeared in the church.

Acts 8:38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
Here is a gentile being baptized in water on the order of Philip. Also refer to the above response containing Acts 8:37
Also note that Jesus said you must be born again....of the WATER and of the SPIRIT. Either Jesus is right, or you are my friend.

Baptized in Greek is baptizo, which means to dip, immerse in water
for remission of sins. The phrase in Mt. 28:1, "baptizing them into the
name", would indicate the baptized person was closely bound to or became the
property of the one into whose name he was baptized.
Remission in Greek is aphesis, which means a release or dismissal,
or forgiveness of sins.
So being water baptized into Jesus' name
will remit our sins. (Or forgive us our sins.).
