This has to be the worst angle ever to evaluate the performance of a car's crash test... if you're gonna upload the vid... at least put the one with the right angle... all i can see is a hard crash... but i couldn't even see how the car ended up after it.
TATA owns Jaguar Land Rover, so you could say tata was given pointers on how to pass EU crash test. Chinese automotive manufacturer however still in the process of understanding technology.

When you judge this car, judge it by what it is supposed to do and what you pay for it. It's a 2500$ car for people who cannot afford cars, and does the job pretty well.

Have we forgetten what value means in the automotive world? for 2500$, 4 wheels and an engine seems like plenty.
I own this car for more than an year now. Still running hard and handsome. For people who are worried about safety better improve your riding skills as almost every accident happens due to human errors. If it is your call even when sleeping an accident can take you :)

@swaich1 What speed was this crash test done at? Mercedes build some of the safest cars period. Diana wasn't wearing a seat belt and that Merc was really moving. Safety features only work if they are being used.
Now, If the nano was going as fast as Diana's merc when it hit the wall, there would be nothing left of the nano.
If this car is only $2000, after a crash, you could cannibalize the car and take it apart into all it's separate components to sell. I bet you could get at least that amount if not twice as much selling the parts on the used E parts market...

That's incredibly good crash performance. Looks exactly like how the smart car performed by basically bouncing off the barrier with no visible deformation of the passenger compartment.
The problem, again the same as the smart car, is the lack of appreciable crumple zone. They might have to extend that front bumper a few inches to in order to absorb some momentum.
Should be interesting to see if it's as strong in the side impact test.
This test result is quite good. The passenger compartment does not deform. Look at the roof structure and the doors. It all stays intact, quite unlike the test of some other larger cars, like the Ford Ranger.
the reason why nano like projects needta get off the floor is coz govt.s world over are lookin at bringing jobs back.with an ingenious design like the nano at that price point, there is no real meaning in importing them from china or india.the model is a great way to keep jobs inside our countries.what we need to worry about is safety nonetheless.but im sure innovation can provide answers here.its not impossible!

Yeah, as long as the seats didn't come unhinged and there are at least 2 airbags, that looked like it passed. Surprising for a cheap car like this. Although this is not the Indain spec car, although it soon will be. Anyway, looked pretty good to me.

That's incredibly good crash performance. Looks exactly like how the smart car performed by basically bouncing off the barrier with no visible deformation of the passenger compartment.
The problem, again the same as the smart car, is the lack of appreciable crumple zone. They might have to extend that front bumper a few inches to in order to absorb some momentum.
Should be interesting to see if it's as strong in the side impact test.

This test result is quite good. The passenger compartment does not deform. Look at the roof structure and the doors. It all stays intact, quite unlike the test of some other larger cars, like the Ford Ranger.

the reason why nano like projects needta get off the floor is coz govt.s world over are lookin at bringing jobs back.with an ingenious design like the nano at that price point, there is no real meaning in importing them from china or india.the model is a great way to keep jobs inside our countries.what we need to worry about is safety nonetheless.but im sure innovation can provide answers here.its not impossible!
