Sorry 9415908, but ashton didn t understand what exactly is a fairy tale. It s always a really dark and sad story, with a lot of troubles and tragedy and only at the end, there is an happy ending. Cendrillon, lost her mum, she is totally destroy by her step-mother with 2 horrible sisters and her father prefer alcool than her.and it s just the beginning..A fairy tale it s not a Disney movie.

I saw Zakharova and Fillin in this when the Bolshoi toured the US in 2007, and absolutely loved this production.

I don't understand why people have to twist a classic fairytale and make it into some kind of weird nightmare. this pas de duex is fine and Sveta and Fillin are beautiful but the rest of the ballet is really weird. people should follow Ashton's example and stick to the fairytale.

i agree!!! ive never seen the rest of this ballet but i know wut u mean... like modern swan lakes and weird stuff like that were they arent really swans but metaphors and swans and crap... if we wanted reality we wouldnt go to the theater to see a fairytale!!!!
