@seremela05 Hi there, thanks for your message. Corel PaintShop Pro uses the scanner application to scan directly into a blank document in Corel PaintShop Pro and this is the only difference between scanning using Corel PaintShop Pro or scanning directly from the scanner application . The image quality and resolution will the same if using both of the options butI would recommend scanning using Corel PaintShop Pro so it's easier to start editing.
Thank you. really enjoying your videos. I have PSPP X2 and am having trouble restoring old (1930 era) photos using a scanner. The 2 problems are a residual paper texture as well as a blue tinted pixelation in some areas due to the scanning. Can you do a video to address these problems?
Hi, thanks for the comment, glad you liked the video. I don't currently plan to do any more tutorials about restoring images but you might find the Corel User to User Web Forum, which you can Google
@Schweizer135 One thing you might try is making a copy photo instead of scanning - mount the old photo & light it with flat light - two lights at 45 deg angle to the surface of the print, one on either side - and take a photograph with a digital camera. Save as a high quality JPEG & open that with your image editing software.
I do have to ask, is it better to scan your pictures in using PSP first, or scanning them and then opening them with PSP?
