yes, it's part of the amp/line 6 spider 3...I don't use any separate effects or distortion pedals.

thanks a lot, the effects are delay, phaser/phase shifter, and some sweep echo for the 2:05 part. Other than that, just a wah pedal for the second solo (6:42). They're all part of the line 6 fbv shortboard (which is basically just an extension of the line 6 spider 3 amp)

thanks a lot, it is indeed a solid state amp. I have a Sony Handycam with mini-dvd rw discs (exact model type is DCR-DVD508 I think). I'm not sure if it's high def, I bought it in early '07 so I doubt it. It's a great quality camera though considering how small it is, especially the microphone.

Thanks for the reply. So do you than pop the disc you recorded on into your hard drive and rip it to the computher to upload? I only use a digital camera that can shoot video so the quality isn't that great and I'm looking for an alternative w/o sinking alot of cash just to shoot youtube vids..knowwhatimean

no problem, and I'm sure it can be done that way by putting the disk in, but I just connect a USB cable from the camera to computer. I'm not sure of any alternatives, I had to sink quite a bit for the sony handycam I use, it was about $800 and that was for one of the lower-end ones! lol There were ones that were $1,500 dollars and more.

thanks very much, well I don't know if I would say 'only' 5-6 years, I kind of consider that a while, but then again I guess it's not much overall if I practice for only about an hour or two per day, I think the time invested per day is where it truly counts instead of the year amount.

thanks very much. I started playing summer of '03, I would probably be better than where I'm currently at if I invested more time per day (I only get in about an hour or so). If there were any tips I would say just to have fun with it and to think of practice as something to look forward to instead of as a chore.

thanks a lot, it's usually a mix of both, I'll look at a tab to get the basic idea but then use my ears to change things or find different methods/areas on the fretboard to play them. If I can't find a decent tab and I'm determined enough, I'll do what I can all by ear (as in my 'killer of giants' vid)
