Lyrically, Adult Contemporary is full of extropianism and flow. While Grunge has nihilistic as well as apathetic lyrics. Its basically "I care" vs "I dont give a damn". And I happan to be a big fan of Grunge.

@AMVsoldier18 Again, I really don't see why both can't be enjoyed. I also like grunge, hard rock, heavy metal, blues, rock n'roll, adult contempary, blue grass, classical, and opera. I'm a fan of music that makes me feel. Its about a visceral experience. I can get that from listening to 'Hole,' or 'Michael Bolton,' or any number of artist in any number of genres. Don't limit yourself. It's ok to have preferences, but don't limit your borders. :)

I'm sure there are things in eash of those catigories that you don't like as a rule, that you would like if listened to without the preconceived notion that you don't like it. As a kid, I didn't like Chinease food because I though it looked yucky. But as I aged, I realised I should try it before dismissing it.....and now its my fav. food. Same with music.
