  • no. might as well, throw it away.

  • dude red tails dont grow that big. 3ft is the max. some idiot just decided to add 1 more ft to keep people from buying it

  • Actually, I've SEEN, in person, a 6' RTC! But, in a home aquarium ... nah, but 3' for sure.

  • noob it can grow to 5 feet -_-"

  • eh can anyone can anwser my qns?

my 3 inches rtc always not active.. and doen't eat anything i give it..such as sinking wafers, pellets, brime strimp.

how to make it active ?

  • At 23 to about 27 seconds what is that fish you got it looks like a shark catfish.. could you email me back please

  • Its the catfish

  • can i put a baby red tail with these

massif oscar they r aggressive too

  • i trying to special order my red tail catfish

check my 125gallon tank isit big enough

  • not near big enough

  • Can i get a RTC in my 9'2'2' or do i need more width? what sharks that in there?

  • more width within it's second year and eventually more length as well

  • Lol as my Red tail got bigger and bigger I kept noticing fewer and fewer "tankmates"....Soon it was only my red tail and a very large Oscar left...he at 3 8 inch Clown loach's and a few angle fish...I bought a dozen feeder gold fish about a year ago and the red tail and the Oscar ate all but 1 and that one is still alive and very plump now after eating Oscar food for over a year

  • hi there.

can red-tail catfish live together with koi in the same pond??

pls i need an anwser asap.

  • Your Red Tail will eat those Koi in a minute. Especially at night ...

  • oh man.. thx bro.

guess i have to give up my hope on having a red tail.

    haha..

    -thx-

  • hold on...

it depends on your koi size. usually catfish are sold at 2 to 4 inches, so if your koi are bigger they should be safe. also you can control your catfish siize by it's fish tank. the bigger the tank, the bigger the fish. i have one 4 inch catfish and in a 25 gallon tank and it should grow up to 1 1/2 feet.

  • omg pls tell me they won't!

my 16 koi are 30cm long.

the red tail catfish im going to have, would be only 15cm.

Do you think it can eat the koi?

    i need an anws.

  • My RTC tried to eat giant Parrot fish! If and when he tries and gets one stuck in his mouth, both fish can die. :( Don't do it!

  • There is nothing wrong with putting him in there. They will get eaten eventually though.

  • most fish eat things whole... if the food is bigger than his mouth and/or he is well fed he's not going to eat them... there is no way a 15cm redtail is gonna eat a 30cm koi...

  • are these freshwater or brackish?

  • what do you fed your catfish

  • 2 dried jumbo krill and 3 pellets of Hikari Massivore Delite. :)

  • where can you get red tail catfish?

  • Well, I've seen them in most good fish stores, not your typical PetSmarts however. If you want one - great, but be sure you can keep them healthy and can plan on getting bigger and bigger tanks! DON'T get one, if not! Really ... not fair to the poor fish!

  • They can grow up to more than 50 inches you know. You will need a quite big tank for those...

  • We plan on building him an indoor pond soon ...

  • def. a columbian shark... brackish water species.

  • The catfish at 00:25 is either a channel or american shark catfish. Either way they both have HUGE voracious appetites and will outgrow that tank before you know it along with the red-tail cat. Good luck!!!

  • The catfish at 00:25 is either a channel or an american shark cat. Either way thier both gonna get HUGE fast as they have voracious appetites....

  • check out mine redtail cat..about 30 or so inches. He will eat all of your other fish with the execption of your Blue channel catfish if your lucky.

  • It must be a colombian catfish

  • what was the one that looked like a shark at 00:25? i think it had "whiskers" like a catfish and it was gray
