I watched part 2 and it was very nice, I respect you even more. now God will NOT punish all unbelievers, read Quran 17:15, Quran 4:98 and Quran 46:15 for some examples, God promised forgiveness to all who didn't receive a message, all children, youth, weak, even prostitutes who get forced in prostitution will be forgiven, BUT, as I told you, we ALL will go through Hell when this universe turn to it (Quran 19:71-72), God will save many and leave some, this is His choice and no one can blame Him.
I know that many people don't get convince with this logic, but, if Hell was a scientific destiny just as this universe for some then you better be on God's side until you see the whole picture, save your objections (I also have many) to the day you meet Him and trust me He will explain, even angels questioned God's decisions in the Quran and He explained to them and proved them wrong, I hope you listen to this advice, you are my brother and i don't want to lose you.
@helasmoh I'm afraid your right. I'm not convinced. That's just a re-wording of Pascals wager and to me it just demonstrates why hell can only have been invented by a man.
After all, many Christians will insist that both of us should fear god, with as much conviction as you have. Are you not afraid of what they tell you? I bet your not right?
I'm unlikely to convert to any religion. But I'd look more favourably on one that told me it really didn't matter if I did or not.
Quran told us that any one believes in God and do good deeds will go to Heaven, it does not matter whether you are a Christian or a Jew or a Muslim or any of the other religions, just believe in one God without idol worship and you guaranteed Heaven, please watch my other video, same message from the same God: Trinity Debunked, God is One: /watch?v=kstticNSO2g
When this universes collapses on everything on it then reborn again with a new big bang and a new kind of life you will know that Hell is just as scientific as our current existence, please watch my video and I hope you ask to be saved before it will be too late: Quran Vs. Lawrence Krauss and "A Universe From Nothing": /watch?v=cv7lCR-7AKQ
@helasmoh Do you allow video responses? I think I might like to do one to go into where I think your cosmology is out of sync with my understanding of the current evidence, and alternative interpretations for the Quran verses you quote.
Here I would like to try and stick to the subject, which is Hell. And I would make 2 points (most of this is in my video anyway, but I doubt you watched all of both parts).
Point 1: All human crime is finite. Even Genghis Khan, Hitler, and Stalin (probably the top 3 multiple murders in history) committed a finite number of crimes.
So an Infinite punishment is absurd.
Leaving on one side the possibility that god(s) is/are perverse. It is therefore not possible that the gods most humans currently believe in would punish people forever.
Point 2: Q 82:14 "And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire." (Sahih International).
If God exist, and I believe that He does and His final message to humanity is the Quran, then His logic is that He warned you, of course you may object but that will go no where, specially if He didn't punish you at all, all He Has to do is not letting you in His Heaven, what the outside will be is for you to imagine. Quran all the time tells us about the conversation between God and the unbelievers and they always admit that they got what they deserved.
I don't allow them as I use my other videos to respond to each other but I think I understood what you mean about cosmology current evidence and already made a reply in the video description, there are many scientists who believe the universe is not 100% flat because that require the universe to be infinite in size and volume, I attached a link from another video in the video description too. I will watch your video other parts and get back to you.
Anyone can reply in video or comments on all of my videos on this channel :)
The only comments I have even considered deleting so far were ones that I consider close to incitement to violence (as it happens, against Muslims). In one case I felt someone had crossed this line so I asked them to remove the comment themselves, and they did.
But anyone can insult me and the things I hold dear if they like.
As far as the Universe being 100% flat is concerned I think your are probably misrepresenting Lawrence Krauss.
I have not read his book. But I don't think he is saying that the curvature of space is flat (it's obviously not locally :) ).
I think he is saying that the matter and energy in the Universe *may* be exactly balanced by it's curvature. This might be expressed simplistically as Mass-Energy-Curvature "equivalence". And in *that* sense the Universe is "flat".
BTW there *are* cosmologists who consider that beyond the observable limit (which is finite) the Universe *may* be infinite. This is does not necessarily contradict the big bang theory if I understand them correctly.
But, as several people have pointed out on your thread, current cosmological evidence suggests there will be no Big Crunch. Heat Death is more likely and that could take an infinite amount of time.
That's the main reason I was interested in doing a video response.
I do allow all comments automatically but I'm not like you when it comes to bad language, perhaps I should. Whenever people start insulting I just block them, attache my video on evolution being an Islamic theory before Darwin then tell them to evolve to humans. I even blocked many Muslims because they used bad language.
Hell was invented by man used for their evil agenda. The bible contradicts itself over and over again and it's very repitious I think that is proof right there that the bible was not inspired by a loving, intelligent God full of righteousness, but by very evil, flawed men. I use to be angry at God but no longer because I don't think he exists. Man created God, not the other way around
You ever read the book of Revelation ? You say the bible doesn't say that unbelievers will go to hell ? 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
@kandtell You say the bible is flawed ? I don't think so. It's funny how people don't believe in the bible but yet they teach out of it. Maybe you do not understand what lineage they are referring to ? The Bible is inerrant and infallible. Many people willl come up with things like this and really not know what they are talking about. Luke is recording Mary's Genealogy and Mathew is recording Josephs. There is no "greek" word for son in law. #1
@kandtell #2. Both lines of Mary and Joseph point back to King David. Mathew is following Josephs line back to Solomon and Luke is following Mary's line back to Davids son Nathan. You ever think it could be actually Mary's line they are referring to, but since his is the man they are using his name. Remember there is no Greek word for son-in-law. I know you would not think it possible for that to happen. You have such a dogmatic view that could never happen. There just has to be something wrong.
Surely if Luke was inspired by an omniscient god who would have been aware that future generations needed clear understandable writing, and further assuming that this is supposed to be Mary's genealogy, then it would have read something like:
"And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being the son of Mary, which was the son of Heli".
@kandtell #1 Ones lineage does not go by the mother. This just shows that on both sides, Mary and Joseph the line goes back to King David. not that is really matters. Even if that wasn't it, it wouldn't matter. This book is way over your and and mine also and I have studied in detail for years. Just because you don't know what it means does not mean that it is wrong. It just means you don't understand it yet.
@kandtell #2 Like I said, I don't believe there is greek word for son in law so the word would have been the son of Heli even though it could have been his "son-in-law". Surely you have got some kind of conflicts that really mean something in a book this book with so many prophecies, surely you have something better than this ? It should be pretty easy to disprove so many things ? Again, There is nothing wrong in the book. We just don't fully uderstand all of it yet.
@kandtell #1 I believe the earth was covered with water ? There is much evidence that it was. What about slavery? Alot of people put themselves into slavery in those days because they could not survive otherwise. Did you mention the passages on how they were to treat the slaves ? Colosians 4:1 Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. Man with Man and woman with woman is a sin just like any other sin in the bible.
@kandtell #2 I think it kinda funny that gay people will call Christians homophobes and haters because we don't believe in their lifestyle. They have the mindset of "If you don't like what I do, then you hate me." That's crazy. So what if God created the vegetation before the stars ? Where are you going with that? That vegetation was created one day before the sun ? You are saying that vegetation could not live one day without sunlight ? I am sure there are alot of websites that will Cont....
@kandtell #3 There are alot of sites that will list supposed error's or contradictions. I have checked most of them. If you look at something thinking it will be wrong. Anything you really don't understand about it will make it wrong in your eyes, even though there really is nothing wrong with it. Many people have tried to disprove the bible over the years. It hasn't been done yet. Too many prophecies have come true to think that the rest of them won't. The bible is real whether you believe it
1. " I believe the earth was covered with water ? There is much evidence that it was."
Sorry, but there is no evidence of a world wide flood and plenty of evidence against. Quite apart from Physics showing it to be impossible, and Geology showing that it did not happen, there is History showing that people lived through it and did not drown! watch?v=84Vq2hoIfJ4
2. Slavery: well if I wrote a book on moral values I think I would probably write "slavery is wrong" rather than "slavery is ok as long as you follow these rules".
What would you put on the subject?
3. " I think it kinda funny that gay people will call Christians homophobes". OK, so a) I'm not gay (not that it's relevant, just pointing it out as I have on many previous occasions for the record) and b) I'm not calling Christians homophobes.
some are, most are not, but the point is that the god of the bible (if you take it literally) apparently *is* homophobic, extremely homophobic, so much so that it is impossible to accept certain verses as inspired by a loving god.
Back then men did not know better and wrote those verses. Now we know better and we would not dream of doing what those verses tell us to do.
4. "So what if God created the vegetation before the stars"
Stars have been around for at least 13GY. Life on earth for about 4GY. Even if you take the view that Genesis does not mean 24 hours when it talks about days its still the wrong way round.
5. " Many people have tried to disprove the bible over the years. It hasn't been done yet."
All Christians I know in real life accept that at least some of the bible is wrong.
In the unlikely event that there is a god I suspect he would agree with me on that point!
Absolute mathematical proof does not exist in the real world.
If we want to make sense of the universe around us we have to accept that and go with the "beyond all reasonable doubt" meaning of the word "proven" accepted by science and in the courtroom.
There are some things I accept as proven beyond all reasonable doubt.
I like this video. I no longer myself believe in the bible and religious stuff. You cannot choose to believe something you either do or dont and I dont now.......if the christians god is so loving why does he send people to hell for having different believes and so fourth. I wouldnt send a bad person to a place like that ever....
@WestSideCoolidge Let's just think who we are talking about. We are talking about God. The creator of everything. He owns everything. We play by his rules. No one has to go to hell. Everyone that rejects God does this of their own free will. It doesn't take alot to be a Christian. One day we will have a world that we will live with God in. He will dwell with us. But this world must be judged and end before that can happen. Only believers in the world to come. What have you got to lose ?
@WestSideCoolidge God does not send people to hell. People choose to go to hell. Salvation is free. It doesn't cost a dime. You have a free ticket to heaven, all you have to do is take it.
I'm glad i'm not alone in this brother. My big argument is as follows: If Jesus paid the ultimate price to save those who believe in Him then why is Jesus not being burned eternally? i've heard xians claim that, "Jesus went to hell so that i don't have to!" Jesus went to 'the lower parts of the earth' for three lousy days! and the vilest sinner must stay forever? that's messed up.
It seems much more reasonable to regard the life of Christ as an example to aspire to. And "believe in me" to mean "believe me when I tell you to be good".
That's how most of my Christian friends read it. But then they are all CofE.
The American interpretation strikes me as an easy way out. You don't have to give up all your wealth, turn the other cheek, etc. You just have to have faith.
Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected in imperishable bodies, some will go into everlasting bliss and the rest into eternal punishment and the smoke of their torment will go up forever, they won't cease to be,they're eternal.
@kandtell Well, you may not like it but Jesus certainly claims Hell is real and many will go there and be there forever. If we can't trust Jesus who can we trust?
2. More importantly, even when I used to be I would not have taken that comment seriously. It's not a question of trusting Jesus, it's a question of trusting the bible. We *know* the bible is not 100% the word of god. We *know* bits were added by the authors, and even more was added later. So we can't be certain what Jesus said or did not say.
@kandt Sorry, but it was Jesus Himself that confirmed Hell and all who would be there,in fact,He says that many who call Him Lord ,Lord will end up there. So you're just like so many others who want to remove the parts of scripture that they don't like.Hell is a prison for rebel sinners, especial atheists.Btw-- the passage where those call Him Lord ,Lord and He says He never knew them? That's just a testament that proves no ex-Christians exist,He never tells anyone, that" I used to know you".
@kandtell My friend ,you're doing no one any favors. You have blasphemed the God of the Universe and are in the very predicament that you try to deny the truth of God.God is real and His Son will have the final say in your case, repent and believe and live.
@kandtell You're right, not all were meant to believe.God has chosen His own before time and His word goes out and never returns void,it always accomplishes His will.God's word will convert His elect and reprobate the rest.
@kandtell You can't offer anyone a way out ? You want to offer a Christian a way out of heaven. Just because you don't believe in something does not mean that it is not real. You are just causing harm to people. I really can't understand your logic in doing this.
@CBALLEN Brother; you say ".Hell is a prison for rebel sinners, especial atheists." Two points for you to consider; 1. The traditional 'hell' would not be a PRISON but a torture chamber. 2. especially atheists? God is no respecter of persons and is no more insulted by those who do not believe in Him than He would be of , say, a masturbating fornicator.
Consider Matthew 25:46: "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." Since the Jesus is true, all he says is true. Here he combines the truth of life eternal with everlasting punishment. If one is true then both are true. If both are true - there is eternal life as well as everlasting punishment.
Well at least that quote is about real crimes. But no finite crime deserves infinite punishment.
Most Christians I know in real life do not take the bible to be literally true. They accept that much of what is in it is invented by man.
You don't have to believe Christ lied. But it's known for a fact that the people who wrote and transcribed the bible added things in later that he is unlikely to have said.
Known examples include Matthew 28:19 altered in the 4century cont...
@KyleMassengale Notice it says everlasting punishment hence death of soul you will be no more it does not say everlasting punishing which would be forever torment and suffering. Everyone thinks that Hell is the second death well if Hell which you say is forever torment and suffering then how can you be alive and suffering and this be a second death. God is Love and Just he will not make someone suffer torment forever for what they did in 70 years. Wicked will be destroyed NO MORE, REPENT NOW
In the Biblw it says if you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior than you will not perish and remember that God LOVES US! SO MUCH! every one of us are his children. Think of it like this: You are his son, he loves you so much he doesnt want you to do wrong, and if you do, he will change it about you because he LOVES YOU!
read any of the Gospels. Jesus was born of Mother Mary as his mother and the Holy Spirit as his Father. So how Jesus acted is how God is. Keep Jesus in your heart.
@kandtell You've got that backwards, God does not need to meet your standards, you have to meet His standards. Of all the quadrillion+ species on the planet if you include algae and bacteria, Allah created you to be the top of the top on Earth. You are the articulate creature known as man, who deferentiates between right from wrong, who either reflects the attributes of the Holy Creator, or sinks to the lowest of the low. It's your choice. We don't decide how long the Fire lasts, Allah does.
@ImyManz99 If god can't meet the standards of basic human decency then he is not believable.
In other words if he created everlasting hell he does not exist.
Therefore everlasting hell does not exist even if god does.
Furthermore, any kind of punishment for non-belief does not make sense. If god punishes people simply for not believing in him then he does not exist.
On the other hand a god who rewards charity is vaguely believable.
@kandtell I'm not following you... again, the Creator sets the standard for the creation, not the other way around. What is "decency" to you - isn't that subjective? Allah does not send anybody to Hell except for those who willfully refuse His Paradise. God is Just. Charity is compulsory, even if it is just giving a smile to a stranger, Allah will surely account for it.
id be more worried about not getting into heaven, than going to hell,, and you have to be lying if your saying that hell is worth it, of sin, and if your not, thats why people like you go to hell, because they think its worth it, its a lie by satan, you got one chance, if you dont want it you wont get it
I would think that those in "hell" for eternity would eventually grow accustomed to the horendous fiery torture they are undergoing which would negate the punishment aspect of it. Eventually you would just go numb to it... 3 or 4 hundred years of anything and i wouldn't even care anymore. Big deal, my flesh is still boiling *yawn*
@kandtell I just watched part 2 and you do make some very good points there as well. There is no way I would want to be in some sort of blissful paradise while any one of my family or friends are being tortured forever. Christianity is totally full of these sort of gaps in logic. The bible is basically just an ancient book of rules to make people more docile and obedient for those in power at the time, with a few common knowlege moral values thrown to make the whole thing look better than it is.
@Damienf77 Hey, you watched part 2! You just made my day, not many people watch part 2 :)
Actually I happen to have had a very shitty day. So, it would not have taken much to "make my day", but hey, I'm going to chalk this up on the happy side of the slate!
@kandtell No problem, and sorry to hear about the shitty day. Glad I could add to the happy side though. Maybe the reason people don't watch the second one as often is because it doesn't show up in the related videos thing on the side like usual for videos with parts. At least it didnt for me. I assumed you forgot or decided not to make a seond part til you mentioned it. Take care. -D-
I've lived my life for many years now based on the assumption that there are no gods.
It works for me. But I understand that it does not work for everyone. And I don't want to force that on anyone else. As I said at the beginning of the video the only aim (other than not having to repeat the argument for those who try to convince me that I am going to hell) is to offer support to other people (especially kids) who are being frighted by the evil myth of hell.
This video is very deceptive, I'll pray that you stop deceiving the world, I'll pray even more that you stop deceiving yourself. Wishful thinking is not always the best option. Just because you made up in your mind that hell doesn't exist, does that make it true? no not at all.
@chica0616 Other than the title, I don't see much that is deceptive. Maybe I should have called it "In the extremely unlikely case that there is a god it remains impossible to believe he created hell".
I believe things based on the weight of evidence. The weight of evidence against hell is massive in my view. And yet it is very real mental torture for people in this life.
If you believe in hell you should save your prayers for Becky Fisher. She needs them more than me!
@kandtell the Bible, which is the written word of God which means it was inspired by Him, says that there is a hell and that those who He doesnt know will be there. you will never be able to understand a God who created everything you know and millions of things more. its in the Bible, so if God exists so does hell. i encourage you to do everything in your power to disprove the Bible because if you are thorough, youl find that it is all truth and i will be glad to know i will see you in heaven
1.Kings 7.23 and 2.Chr 4.2 both imply that Pi = 3! There are many passages that imply that the world is flat! Lev 20.13 says that gay men should be killed. There are passages which flatly contradict each other. Who was Joseph’s father for example? Jacob (Matt 1.16) or Heli (Luke 3.23).
A belief in an eternal hell is no more tenable than a belief in a flat earth. The majority of Christians do not support it. It's not even supported by many fundies here on YT who hold other wacky beliefs.
I presume that you don’t believe that Pi is 3, or that the world is flat, or that gay men should be killed, or that Joseph’s father was simultaneously Jacob and Heli. So why do you have to believe in an eternal hell? Join the majority of Christians in rejecting this dangerous and un-Christian belief!
@kandtell You are so clueless! You just post here say. You havent even studied it out and you are giving people eternal advice ? I can guarantee you do not know any christians that do not believe the bible is the word of God. There are millions of people who claim to be christians. Just claiming to be a christian does not make you one. I prerequisite to being a christian is believing the bible is the word of God. Did you know that the passage about gay men is the Levitical Law ? #1
@kandtell #2 Did you know that when Christ came he fullfilled the law and we do not live under it anymore ? Of course you don't know this. From what I can tell you don't really know alot about the bible. It looks like you troll google alot to try and find something wrong with the bible. The bible does not contradict. I think it's more of you just really don't understand what they are saying. The closet thing I have ever found in my indepth study is someones age being different.
i believe in hell we know God doesnt waant anyone to go to hell and he is always willing to forgive us if we truely repent and try to the best of our abilities to live a good Christian life.
I am sorry but i do not understand your logic? 1) that there is a god? its called an act of faith. how do we know its true? Christs resurrection. 2) that he can be jealous? well Abraham made a covenant with God. 3) God willing to torture? no we have free will and decide what path we choose. do crimes go to jail? no criminals do. do thefts go? no theives do
If 1+2 are correct we still can't prove he/she/it want's to put people in hell. That's assumption 3.
I think that is the minimum number of assumptions required for the hypothesis that hell exists and people are tortured in it forever to work. Any other explanation of hell based on a benign god who does not want to put us in it but we go their anyway because we don't believe in him or something like that just requires more assumptions.
The alternative hypothesis, that hell was invented by a jealous priest in order to frighten people into following his/her religion, does not require any assumptions. Therefore, according to Occam's razor, that is by far the more likely explanation.
P.s. criminals do not send themselves to jail. The rest of society takes responsibility for their punishment. We pay for jails to be built through our taxes. We vote in governments who enact the laws that send people their on our behalf. We deem it a good thing for the sake of society as a whole.
You cannot wash your hands of responsibility for someones punishment just by saying it was their fault for committing the crime.
Would you vote for a man who proposed the death penalty for speeding?
@kandtell 1) there is a God shown in the Old and New Testament 6 days war. Battle of lepanto. God exists that makes him omnipotent which he can create what he desires. 3) Gods doesnt want anyone to go to hell but people do through there own actions.
we cannot prove God does not exsists. well is almost isnt always.
@14alonso88 I don't think you sound rude. We probably have diametrically opposed world views, that's all.
Sorry, I see no positive evidence for the existence of any god. Especially not in wars where a god is supposed to have intervened.
BTW Philip II was one of the biggest bastards in history. A kind of 16th cent Saddam Hussein. I think you should re-think that example! Apart from anything else, 17 years later his fleet was destroyed by storms in the Spanish Armada campaign.
We English claimed he was on our side in that event. Medals were struck with the inscription "He blew with His winds, and they were scattered."
We also claimed he won Agincourt for us in 1415. Henry V made a huge deal out of that! Then in 1429 the French claimed he was on their side at Orleans!
It's all total nonsense, sorry! If god was on anyones side during a war it would be unbelievably obvious.
As for the 6 days war, that was won by superior technology and tactics. I spent almost a year living and working in Israel and I certainly did not see any evidence that god was on anyones side!
I don't really want to go deeper than that into a debate on the existence of god. It's not my thing. I want to concentrate on problems, some of which are caused by religion, but not all.
What I will say however, is that their can't be any proof that god exists if he is omnipotent.
This is because if he was omnipotent he could easily prove he exists instantaneously to all of us. He could lift every building in the world 2 meters into the air whilst appearing Monty Python like out of the clouds backed by a heavenly black choir signing "think what your trying to do to me!".
Just an example :)
But he doesn't, which means if he does exist then he does not want to do that.
So why expect proof of his existence? Why even bother looking for it?
It's is sad to ME that this video had an influence on you like that to make a video. I hope that you would look more into studying the bible in its context. I watched that video an it totally mad me angry that heresies t like that get movie time and real Christianity gets put on the back burner.
Well the existence of God cannot be simply decided by mans logic. God exists if we believe in him or not. The bible says the devils believe. As a Christian I understand that non Christians see God from a catholic type of window. The catholic church has put in the minds of millions of people that you have to live your life in fear all the time. This is not true. I am a Christian and I don't live in fear. I do fear my God as I should but this is because he is absolutely perfect and really can do
You need more bible study. A couple of vs out of context has no purpose in determining if hell is real or not. Romans 6:23 states - the wages of sin is death. Then In revelation 20:14,15- 14.And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire. 15And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
The bible plainly tell of non believers being cast into a lake of fire.
@Beholdthearch "The bible plainly tell of non believers being cast into a lake of fire."
Almost every Christian I know does not take the bible literally, particularly on this point.
But my argument is that if you really do believe that god does that, then Occam's razor and other logical arguments prove beyond all reasonable doubt that your god does not exist.
God does not throw non believers into the lake of fire, it's just not logically possible.
@kandtell even the worst of decisions would be handled with the same punishment..knowledge of what they had done....guilt is another word for "have learned".
By Russell's Teapot! That's my favourite comment yet :)
1. I'm blushing!
2. I'd rather challenge the most harmful aspects of religion than religion itself. As I said elsewhere it's a question of what's "doable". You could call it an Atheist "wedge strategy" (joke!). Seriously though, I was very impressed by the Book "Infidel" (Ayaan Hirsi Ali). She de-converted to Atheism but still believes it's better to reform the beliefs of others than try and convert them too.
i just want to say that world and galaxy is the god creation so if you destroy world or part of world including humans or any living thing just for pleasure or revenge you will go straight to hell becasue god made heaven and hell side by side ofcourse heaven are for good people and hell for bad people .
regardless weather you are beliver or non beliver it does not matter in the end becasue its your "sins" which decided your faith weather to go heaven or hell.
every religion told to be a good human beings but you can see that there is black sheep in every community and religion so my point is that be good human being will get straight to heaven regardless religion.
i told you that if you are a good human being like, good to your mother father, brother and sister, neighbours , youngers and elders or community will qualify for the heavens.
if you are not believed in hell so how can god punished the evil men like hitler or bush who destroys and kills innocent children and pregnant women in the world.
The problem with Hell is that it is supposed to be unbearable torture *forever*.
I will deal with this more general kind of Hell in Part 2, so I don't want to go into more details, but basically the concept of "purgatory" makes more sense, and before I became an Atheist I could see and argument in favour of a purgatory. But not Hell. No crime is infinitely bad, therefore no criminal can be punished forever.
thats the problem today christian faces every christian is becoming atheist becaue today christian think thats christianity is fake iam a moslim and believe me christianity is not fake religion neither islam or neither judaism these three religion is right.but bible is not the word of god becasue ancient greeks make it change according to the situation and secondly prophet jesus (pbuh) is the son of marry without father and not the son of god. and you should remains a christian or accept islam.
Yes, I knew you were a Muslim, I looked at your channel page and some of your comments elsewhere.
I am not interested in converting people to Atheism, although I think the world would be a better place if everyone was an Atheist.
Instead I am interested in getting people to drop the more dangerous religious beliefs. A belief in Hell is one of the most dangerous beliefs their is. I think you can remain a Muslim, Christian, Jew, etc and not believe in Hell.
well same to you but hell is not for ever, every men should be punished acording to his or her sins and when the punishment over he or she will goes to heaven.
On comment @ 2:14, I used to be a Christian, I'm an atheist now. My major in college was Religion. No where in the Old Testament does it say that unbelievers will go to hell, but it does in the New Testament (quite a few times). Christians believe that Jesus is God, therefore, God does say that unbelievers are going to hell . (John 14:6)
I will grant you that this is probably a minority position at least in the US. But most of my Christian friends are CofE and I don't think any of them believe in hell. Or if they do it's the "nice" version where you are separated from god, but are not actually tortured apart from that.
To me this is a more benign approach and should be encouraged.
I watched part 2 and it was very nice, I respect you even more. now God will NOT punish all unbelievers, read Quran 17:15, Quran 4:98 and Quran 46:15 for some examples, God promised forgiveness to all who didn't receive a message, all children, youth, weak, even prostitutes who get forced in prostitution will be forgiven, BUT, as I told you, we ALL will go through Hell when this universe turn to it (Quran 19:71-72), God will save many and leave some, this is His choice and no one can blame Him.
helasmoh 1 day ago
@helasmoh
It's still not quite enough to convince me.
You see I can't believe in a god who would form any part of his judgement based on belief.
I can't even believe in a god who would punish someone who converted and then de-converted.
kandtell 17 hours ago
@kandtell
I know that many people don't get convince with this logic, but, if Hell was a scientific destiny just as this universe for some then you better be on God's side until you see the whole picture, save your objections (I also have many) to the day you meet Him and trust me He will explain, even angels questioned God's decisions in the Quran and He explained to them and proved them wrong, I hope you listen to this advice, you are my brother and i don't want to lose you.
helasmoh 17 hours ago
@helasmoh I'm afraid your right. I'm not convinced. That's just a re-wording of Pascals wager and to me it just demonstrates why hell can only have been invented by a man.
After all, many Christians will insist that both of us should fear god, with as much conviction as you have. Are you not afraid of what they tell you? I bet your not right?
I'm unlikely to convert to any religion. But I'd look more favourably on one that told me it really didn't matter if I did or not.
kandtell 16 hours ago
@kandtell

@helasmoh I congratulate you :) that's a much better statement than most theists I've come across would make.

@helasmoh Do you allow video responses? I think I might like to do one to go into where I think your cosmology is out of sync with my understanding of the current evidence, and alternative interpretations for the Quran verses you quote.

@helasmoh

@helasmoh
Point 2 cont:
Who are the "wicked". Because I would have Genghis Khan, Hitler, and Stalin pretty much at the top of my list if I was god.
Somewhere near the top would be bin Ladin.
But you guys (theists in general) tend to put un-believers at the top.
This is not just absurd, it is ridiculous (as I explain in the video).
It is just not possible for an all powerful god to care what puny humans think about him/her/it.
kandtell 2 days ago
@kandtell
If God exist, and I believe that He does and His final message to humanity is the Quran, then His logic is that He warned you, of course you may object but that will go no where, specially if He didn't punish you at all, all He Has to do is not letting you in His Heaven, what the outside will be is for you to imagine. Quran all the time tells us about the conversation between God and the unbelievers and they always admit that they got what they deserved.
helasmoh 1 day ago
@kandtell

@helasmoh
So I think you should consider the same policy.

@helasmoh
And in *that* sense the Universe is "flat".
cont...
kandtell 1 day ago
@helasmoh
That's the main reason I was interested in doing a video response.
kandtell 1 day ago
@kandtell
I do allow all comments automatically but I'm not like you when it comes to bad language, perhaps I should. Whenever people start insulting I just block them, attache my video on evolution being an Islamic theory before Darwin then tell them to evolve to humans. I even blocked many Muslims because they used bad language.

You ever read the book of Revelation ? You say the bible doesn't say that unbelievers will go to hell ? 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Rev 20:14-15 (KJV)
This is only one reference. Unbelievers will go to hell. There is no doubt about that.

The bible (as I point out in the comments below) says that the world is 6000 years old, that PI=3, and that gay men should be put to death.
There are plenty of other things I could point to, like Mathew and Mark not agreeing on who Joesph's father was.
Since the bible is fallible why believe it when it talks about hell?
kandtell 7 months ago
@kandtell You say the bible is flawed ? I don't think so. It's funny how people don't believe in the bible but yet they teach out of it. Maybe you do not understand what lineage they are referring to ? The Bible is inerrant and infallible. Many people willl come up with things like this and really not know what they are talking about. Luke is recording Mary's Genealogy and Mathew is recording Josephs. There is no "greek" word for son in law. #1
flatpicker1234 7 months ago
@kandtell #2. Both lines of Mary and Joseph point back to King David. Mathew is following Josephs line back to Solomon and Luke is following Mary's line back to Davids son Nathan. You ever think it could be actually Mary's line they are referring to, but since his is the man they are using his name. Remember there is no Greek word for son-in-law. I know you would not think it possible for that to happen. You have such a dogmatic view that could never happen. There just has to be something wrong.
flatpicker1234 7 months ago
@flatpicker1234
Luke 3:23-24:
[23] And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
[24] Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,
I don't think I'm being dogmatic, I think I'm being rational.
cont...
kandtell 7 months ago
Surely if Luke was inspired by an omniscient god who would have been aware that future generations needed clear understandable writing, and further assuming that this is supposed to be Mary's genealogy, then it would have read something like:
"And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being the son of Mary, which was the son of Heli".
kandtell 7 months ago
@kandtell #1 Ones lineage does not go by the mother. This just shows that on both sides, Mary and Joseph the line goes back to King David. not that is really matters. Even if that wasn't it, it wouldn't matter. This book is way over your and and mine also and I have studied in detail for years. Just because you don't know what it means does not mean that it is wrong. It just means you don't understand it yet.
flatpicker1234 7 months ago
@kandtell #2 Like I said, I don't believe there is greek word for son in law so the word would have been the son of Heli even though it could have been his "son-in-law". Surely you have got some kind of conflicts that really mean something in a book this book with so many prophecies, surely you have something better than this ? It should be pretty easy to disprove so many things ? Again, There is nothing wrong in the book. We just don't fully uderstand all of it yet.
flatpicker1234 7 months ago
@flatpicker1234 "surely you have something better than this".
How about Noah's flood? The earth has never been completely covered in liquid water.
How about Gen 1: 11-19 where god creates vegetation before the stars?
How about slavery? Lev 25: 44-46? Ex 21: 1-7?
All the homophobia?
I could go on and on.
kandtell 7 months ago
@kandtell #1 I believe the earth was covered with water ? There is much evidence that it was. What about slavery? Alot of people put themselves into slavery in those days because they could not survive otherwise. Did you mention the passages on how they were to treat the slaves ? Colosians 4:1 Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. Man with Man and woman with woman is a sin just like any other sin in the bible.

It hasn't been done yet. Too many prophecies have come true to think that the rest of them won't. The bible is real whether you believe it

1. " I believe the earth was covered with water ? There is much evidence that it was."

some are, most are not, but the point is that the god of the bible (if you take it literally) apparently *is* homophobic, extremely homophobic, so much so that it is impossible to accept certain verses as inspired by a loving god.
Back then men did not know better and wrote those verses. Now we know better and we would not dream of doing what those verses tell us to do.

True.

@shymoneykid
I've read all 4 gospels, and for my money there is an awful lot more in them about deeds that there is about faith.
But I'm fine with anyone believing in a loving god, that's not the point of this video.
The point of this video is eternal hell and the fact that it is impossible to believe in eternal hell.
Esspecially if eternal hell is mandated by non-belief, that is just not possible.
kandtell 10 months ago
The problem with your argument is that "sin" as defined by holy books is not believable.
I've never committed an act I would consider a sin worthy of hell, or worthy of exclusion from heaven if I were god.
If god had my standards of behaviour it would be easier to believe in him.
kandtell 11 months ago
@kandtell You've got that backwards, God does not need to meet your standards, you have to meet His standards. Of all the quadrillion+ species on the planet if you include algae and bacteria, Allah created you to be the top of the top on Earth. You are the articulate creature known as man, who deferentiates between right from wrong, who either reflects the attributes of the Holy Creator, or sinks to the lowest of the low. It's your choice. We don't decide how long the Fire lasts, Allah does.
ImyManz99 10 months ago
@ImyManz99 If god can't meet the standards of basic human decency then he is not believable.
In other words if he created everlasting hell he does not exist.
Therefore everlasting hell does not exist even if god does.
Furthermore, any kind of punishment for non-belief does not make sense. If god punishes people simply for not believing in him then he does not exist.
On the other hand a god who rewards charity is vaguely believable.
kandtell 10 months ago
@kandtell I'm not following you... again, the Creator sets the standard for the creation, not the other way around. What is "decency" to you - isn't that subjective? Allah does not send anybody to Hell except for those who willfully refuse His Paradise. God is Just. Charity is compulsory, even if it is just giving a smile to a stranger, Allah will surely account for it.
ImyManz99 10 months ago
@ImyManz99 " the Creator sets the standard for the creation, not the other way around"
Only if a creator exists.
Any creator who creates a universe where people go to hell purely based on belief can't exist.
If he doesn't exist he can't set any standards.

chica0616 1 year ago
@chica0616 Other than the title, I don't see much that is deceptive. Maybe I should have called it "In the extremely unlikely case that there is a god it remains impossible to believe he created hell".
I believe things based on the weight of evidence. The weight of evidence against hell is massive in my view. And yet it is very real mental torture for people in this life.
If you believe in hell you should save your prayers for Becky Fisher. She needs them more than me!
kandtell 1 year ago
@kandtell the Bible, which is the written word of God which means it was inspired by Him, says that there is a hell and that those who He doesnt know will be there. you will never be able to understand a God who created everything you know and millions of things more. its in the Bible, so if God exists so does hell. i encourage you to do everything in your power to disprove the Bible because if you are thorough, youl find that it is all truth and i will be glad to know i will see you in heaven

Most Christians I know believe that the Bible is *not* the word of god. I certainly did not when I was a Christian.
There are passages which most Christians accept as the word of god. “Love thy neighbor as thyself” springs to mind.
But there are passages in the Bible that can’t be the word of god, well, not unless god is amazingly ignorant!

Join the majority of Christians in rejecting this dangerous and un-Christian belief!
kandtell 1 year ago
@kandtell You are so clueless! You just post here say. You havent even studied it out and you are giving people eternal advice ? I can guarantee you do not know any christians that do not believe the bible is the word of God. There are millions of people who claim to be christians. Just claiming to be a christian does not make you one. I prerequisite to being a christian is believing the bible is the word of God. Did you know that the passage about gay men is the Levitical Law ? #1
flatpicker1234 7 months ago
@kandtell #2 Did you know that when Christ came he fullfilled the law and we do not live under it anymore ? Of course you don't know this. From what I can tell you don't really know alot about the bible. It looks like you troll google alot to try and find something wrong with the bible. The bible does not contradict. I think it's more of you just really don't understand what they are saying. The closet thing I have ever found in my indepth study is someones age being different.
flatpicker1234 7 months ago
i believe in hell we know God doesnt waant anyone to go to hell and he is always willing to forgive us if we truely repent and try to the best of our abilities to live a good Christian life.
14alonso88 1 year ago
I am sorry but i do not understand your logic? 1) that there is a god? its called an act of faith. how do we know its true? Christs resurrection. 2) that he can be jealous? well Abraham made a covenant with God. 3) God willing to torture? no we have free will and decide what path we choose. do crimes go to jail? no criminals do. do thefts go? no theives do
14alonso88 1 year ago
@14alonso88 It's Occam's razor. Just part of my argument.
Occam's razor says that if you have 2 alternative explanations for something then the one with the fewest assumptions is almost certainly correct.
We can't prove any god exists, the existence of a god is assumption 1.
If a god exists (not necessarily the Christian god) then we can't prove he/she/it is capable of creating hell. That's assumption 2.
kandtell 1 year ago
If 1+2 are correct we still can't prove he/she/it want's to put people in hell. That's assumption 3.
I think that is the minimum number of assumptions required for the hypothesis that hell exists and people are tortured in it forever to work. Any other explanation of hell based on a benign god who does not want to put us in it but we go their anyway because we don't believe in him or something like that just requires more assumptions.
cont...
kandtell 1 year ago

Would you vote for a man who proposed the death penalty for speeding?
kandtell 1 year ago
@kandtell 1) there is a God shown in the Old and New Testament 6 days war. Battle of lepanto. God exists that makes him omnipotent which he can create what he desires. 3) Gods doesnt want anyone to go to hell but people do through there own actions.
we cannot prove God does not exsists. well is almost isnt always.
sorry if i sound rude. dont mean it
14alonso88 1 year ago
@14alonso88 I don't think you sound rude. We probably have diametrically opposed world views, that's all.
Sorry, I see no positive evidence for the existence of any god. Especially not in wars where a god is supposed to have intervened.
BTW Philip II was one of the biggest bastards in history. A kind of 16th cent Saddam Hussein. I think you should re-think that example! Apart from anything else, 17 years later his fleet was destroyed by storms in the Spanish Armada campaign.

Doesn't that make god look fickle and indecisive?
We English claimed he was on our side in that event. Medals were struck with the inscription "He blew with His winds, and they were scattered."
We also claimed he won Agincourt for us in 1415. Henry V made a huge deal out of that! Then in 1429 the French claimed he was on their side at Orleans!
It's all total nonsense, sorry! If god was on anyones side during a war it would be unbelievably obvious.
cont...
kandtell 1 year ago
As for the 6 days war, that was won by superior technology and tactics. I spent almost a year living and working in Israel and I certainly did not see any evidence that god was on anyones side!
I don't really want to go deeper than that into a debate on the existence of god. It's not my thing. I want to concentrate on problems, some of which are caused by religion, but not all.
What I will say however, is that their can't be any proof that god exists if he is omnipotent.
cont...
kandtell 1 year ago
This is because if he was omnipotent he could easily prove he exists instantaneously to all of us. He could lift every building in the world 2 meters into the air whilst appearing Monty Python like out of the clouds backed by a heavenly black choir signing "think what your trying to do to me!".
Just an example :)
But he doesn't, which means if he does exist then he does not want to do that.
So why expect proof of his existence? Why even bother looking for it?
kandtell 1 year ago
It's is sad to ME that this video had an influence on you like that to make a video. I hope that you would look more into studying the bible in its context. I watched that video an it totally mad me angry that heresies t like that get movie time and real Christianity gets put on the back burner.
Beholdthearch 1 year ago
Well the existence of God cannot be simply decided by mans logic. God exists if we believe in him or not. The bible says the devils believe. As a Christian I understand that non Christians see God from a catholic type of window. The catholic church has put in the minds of millions of people that you have to live your life in fear all the time. This is not true. I am a Christian and I don't live in fear. I do fear my God as I should but this is because he is absolutely perfect and really can do
Beholdthearch 1 year ago
@Beholdthearch "I don't live in fear"
Glad to hear it.
Unlike a lot of people out here I'm not terribly interested in de-converting people per-se.
I should say though that it was not really the catholic church, but more the documentary "Jesus Camp" which "inspired" me to make these vidos.
kandtell 1 year ago
You need more bible study. A couple of vs out of context has no purpose in determining if hell is real or not. Romans 6:23 states - the wages of sin is death. Then In revelation 20:14,15- 14.And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire. 15And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
The bible plainly tell of non believers being cast into a lake of fire.
Beholdthearch 1 year ago
@Beholdthearch "The bible plainly tell of non believers being cast into a lake of fire."
Almost every Christian I know does not take the bible literally, particularly on this point.
But my argument is that if you really do believe that god does that, then Occam's razor and other logical arguments prove beyond all reasonable doubt that your god does not exist.
God does not throw non believers into the lake of fire, it's just not logically possible.
Did you watch the video?

1. You are sexy
2. how can you deny the existence of god and go on to talk about his/her beliefs?
3. good video & WHERE IS PART 2???
209dieslow 2 years ago
By Russell's Teapot! That's my favourite comment yet :)
1. I'm blushing!
2. I'd rather challenge the most harmful aspects of religion than religion itself. As I said elsewhere it's a question of what's "doable". You could call it an Atheist "wedge strategy" (joke!). Seriously though, I was very impressed by the Book "Infidel" (Ayaan Hirsi Ali). She de-converted to Atheism but still believes it's better to reform the beliefs of others than try and convert them too.

i just want to say that world and galaxy is the god creation so if you destroy world or part of world including humans or any living thing just for pleasure or revenge you will go straight to hell becasue god made heaven and hell side by side ofcourse heaven are for good people and hell for bad people .
ohwahwah 2 years ago
@ohwahwah
I don't agree.
This video was directed at people who believe that un-believers go to Hell.
I'll deal with why I don't believe in Hell generally in Part 2.
kandtell 2 years ago
regardless weather you are beliver or non beliver it does not matter in the end becasue its your "sins" which decided your faith weather to go heaven or hell.
ohwahwah 2 years ago
Oh but it does matter!
It matters a lot!
How do we know what sin is?
Kids are being told by total a*seholes that they will go to Hell if, for example, they have sex with a member of the same sex.
Lives are being wrecked by people who just know there is a Hell, and just know why god puts people in it.
Since Hell does not exist, telling people they have to change their lives to avoid it is a horrible sin.
kandtell 2 years ago
every religion told to be a good human beings but you can see that there is black sheep in every community and religion so my point is that be good human being will get straight to heaven regardless religion.
ohwahwah 2 years ago
That's fine. But you are not answering the question "how do we know what god thinks is a good human being".
Do you think a gay person who is good in all other respects should be barred from heaven?
If not, by my standards you are guilty of an evil thought which would count against you if I was god.
If so, how do you know? Most holy books suggest it is a sin to be gay!
If we can't know what god thinks is good and evil then there is no deterrence value so what's the point?
kandtell 2 years ago
i told you that if you are a good human being like, good to your mother father, brother and sister, neighbours , youngers and elders or community will qualify for the heavens.
ohwahwah 2 years ago
OK ohwahwah. That's basically what I believed for many years. But I never believed in Hell, it just doesn't make sense.
Thanks for watching the video BTW.
I hope I get the chance to visit your beautiful part of the world one day. Closest I have been so far is Slovenia.
kandtell 2 years ago
if you are not believed in hell so how can god punished the evil men like hitler or bush who destroys and kills innocent children and pregnant women in the world.
ohwahwah 2 years ago
The problem with Hell is that it is supposed to be unbearable torture *forever*.
I will deal with this more general kind of Hell in Part 2, so I don't want to go into more details, but basically the concept of "purgatory" makes more sense, and before I became an Atheist I could see and argument in favour of a purgatory. But not Hell. No crime is infinitely bad, therefore no criminal can be punished forever.
kandtell 2 years ago
thats the problem today christian faces every christian is becoming atheist becaue today christian think thats christianity is fake iam a moslim and believe me christianity is not fake religion neither islam or neither judaism these three religion is right.but bible is not the word of god becasue ancient greeks make it change according to the situation and secondly prophet jesus (pbuh) is the son of marry without father and not the son of god. and you should remains a christian or accept islam.
ohwahwah 2 years ago
ohwahwah,
Yes, I knew you were a Muslim, I looked at your channel page and some of your comments elsewhere.
I am not interested in converting people to Atheism, although I think the world would be a better place if everyone was an Atheist.
Instead I am interested in getting people to drop the more dangerous religious beliefs. A belief in Hell is one of the most dangerous beliefs their is. I think you can remain a Muslim, Christian, Jew, etc and not believe in Hell.
kandtell 2 years ago
well kandtel actually my prime language is not english and thats why iam not able to convince you sorry about that.
ohwahwah 2 years ago
I think your English is pretty good and you should not apologise for it :)
It's better than my Serbian anyway, since I only know one word (Hvala) and I am not sure if I spelt it right!
I am a bit better in Arabic though, so I will say "Salama" and have a good life!
kandtell 2 years ago
well same to you but hell is not for ever, every men should be punished acording to his or her sins and when the punishment over he or she will goes to heaven.
ohwahwah 2 years ago
On comment @ 2:14, I used to be a Christian, I'm an atheist now. My major in college was Religion. No where in the Old Testament does it say that unbelievers will go to hell, but it does in the New Testament (quite a few times). Christians believe that Jesus is God, therefore, God does say that unbelievers are going to hell . (John 14:6)
smoochieman17 2 years ago
I put that bit in mainly because I have meet Christians who argue against all mention of hell in both Testaments.
In fact I watched a video last night where a guy gave a list of approx one dozen English translations of the bible which do not mention hell at all.
kandtell 2 years ago
I will grant you that this is probably a minority position at least in the US. But most of my Christian friends are CofE and I don't think any of them believe in hell. Or if they do it's the "nice" version where you are separated from god, but are not actually tortured apart from that.
To me this is a more benign approach and should be encouraged.
