Nice tutorial but it only seems to work properly when I play the note on my midi keyboard. If you draw the note in on the piano roll (regardless of length)it does not play back the envelope, attack is 0ms, decay is 600ms, sustain is 0db, release is 60.0s
any ideas? This has been bugging me for a while now with live, I just was to put in any note length regardless of its length and be able to play back the entire envelope.
@neo36uk You have me stumped! And i have thought that I heard all the problems after teaching Ableton for years at berkleemusic. So, when you draw in a note you hear nothing? Can you describe the difference a little more. Truthfully, I don't really understand what is happening here, but there should be no difference between drawing a note and playing one.
I here the sound in both cases! The problem is that when I draw in the note in the piano roll, its length is sill determined by the length of the midi note.
e.g. if the note I draw in the piano roll is 'lets say a 32nd length' then that is how long the sound is lasting, the sound just completely stops when the midi note ends even if release is all the way up, however, I f I play it with the midi keyboard then the envelope plays as it should (the entire sample)
@LoudonYukon every time i try it mate, tried it again not long ago and still the same, very weird. No problems playing back via my midi keyboard, it works as it should then, it just dont work when i DRAW in the midi note...very strange! have you tried it your end via drawing in the note? cheers

@neo36uk does this happen in all your projects or only in a single case?
