Jerusalem, in particular, has had a Jewish majority since the 1840s, 40 years prior to the beginnings of Zionism. Seventy-five percent of the land in east Jerusalem, which the press calls "historically Arab east Jerusalem," has been owned by Jews since 1947.

And asking why can't the Arabs go live in the Arab states - how about the Israelis stick to THEIR established, legally set boundaries? Or why can't the ethnically East European Jews go back to Poland and Russia? After all, that's where they belong, according to your excuse of an argument which seems to want to mix religion and ethnicity. Arab is not Muslim, Muslim is not Arab.

The Palestinians are being turned into fundamentalists by the constant encroachment into their territory by the Israelis who, because they are backed by the US, can get away with invasions that no other country would. If the Jews want to chuck in 'we're owed this land, King David gave it to us', maybe I should start kicking French people out of their homes using a centuries' old piece of jingoistic nonsense to justify it.
