@penguinjuggling I'm right hander for everything except for playing billiards, that's why I suck I box patterns because I can't achieve the same pattern of showers in both directions. =D
In that video, I was using 2.25 inch Baglady Beanbags but I have switched to 2.5 inch Sil-X Balls now. I am having trouble with more than 7 of them though. So I might go back to Baglady Beanbags for numbers.
I barley practice any tricks at all. Not even the shower. I spend 12 hours today practices NOTHING but 7 and 8 balls. Have you ever done this kind of thing?
I've always wondered if my rate of improvement is slower because I work on tricks a LOT more than numbers. I can't help but wonder if there's 5 ball stuff that will always be beyond my reach until I learn 7...
But screw it -- practice what's fun for you, right?
I think practicing numbers will help with tricks, especially siteswaps, but I think practicing them only about five percent of the time and practicing tricks the rest of the time is probably the fastest way to learn tricks. I did not start practicing a lot of tricks until I was fairly solid with seven balls though. So I am basing all I have said on me learning seven ball tricks and practicing eight and nine balls as numbers.
6b backcrosses are such a rare thing. Really caught me off guard.
I'm sort of on a 5 ball backcross quest. I'm curious, do you keep your form generally the same as that of a 3 ball backcross, or are there major changes that need to take place for the quicker & higher throw that a 5 ball demands?
There are not really any changes that need to take place. One thing to keep in mind though is that with 5 ball backcrosses all the throws must be the same height, where as with 3 you can change the height with each throw.
How long have you been juggling? How often do you practice?

Jason Garfield is much better than me.

@Kragork His 8, 9 and 10 ball juggling isn't quite as good as Jason Garfields.
I don't know how you can say that one juggler is better than another, they all have different strengths.

I used to do it all the time, but after I got fairly good at 7 balls, I started practicing tricks a lot more and I have not done that in a long time.

I just love numbers, yup practicing is fun but frustrating. And I have to wait until the summer again to do use practice sessions like this.
Tricks are cool..... But ya gotta love your numbers.
