Are there not people local to you who are chanting?

Cant you go to their meetings?

However just chanting on your own wil definitely reconnect yourself with yourself and as you chant the Universe will support you with love and compassion and open up the opportunities you need for your life and your happiness

why cant just being quiet be more peaceful. I tried this chanting and all I did was hear my voice which I dont like and it sounded like jibberish . no offence. I think I llike being quiet instead. and my desires can be malevolent does that mean I can use them too? What about desires causing suffering.. I rather be love then desire it. just some thoughts. thanks. blessed be

im struggling because i used to chant and my life opened up enormously...then somehow, i got the urge to start attending church...i thinkg part of me just wanted to see how vast, deep, and interrelated the law of the universe really is, so i want to see if i say the truth in both.. Needless to say i did. but now i feel that i am stuck inside a community that i do not fit into. I started out curious, and ended up stuck. I want to go back to chanting because i miss the connection i felt. But now

chant in church .. see who asks u to leave. lol. I found my niche. I went back to wicca. I like it been avoiding it off and on for about 15 years. Figuring out who you are is a b**ch. well Im home now. I now pray to the Goddess and if I want to change something I work through her. blessed be.

i have listened to tibetan buddhist teaching about 10 years now but never did understand that desires cause suffering. Without desire there is no life. I can understand clinging to impermance as causing suffering. Or example desiring love instead of being love. but Desire is Life I would assume and I like this idea better

desire and emotions are the driving energy of life

In this Buddhism we do not annihilate desire

Rather we use emtion and desire as stepping stones to enlightenment by opening the heart to the ultimate truth
