would you be able to tell me if a raptor 30 v2 would b ok for me?
i have been flying a twin rotar m.a.s.h. heli and have recently bought the latest real flight heli simulator ( i fly the raptor on it). Is the raptor 30 v2 a good intermediate heli?
Yeah, if you have a tight budget, go for the hirobo shuttle 30, it is great for hovering etc.. BUT, when you start flying curcits wou will notice some slack and slop in the controls. To fix this you need expensive upgrades, so in the long run it will be cheaper to get the raptor in the first place. Also, of price is not really that much of a problem, get a 50 or 60 heli to start, they are bigger so they fly better and are more stable.
Raptor 50 far easier to learn with as it handles the wind better. It will also take you well past the sport flying stage without any upgrades. The power to weight ratio is fantastic.
Every other nitro heli i own has an OS in it this is the onely one that doesnt. Reason being it runs absolutely mint, i must have got a good one. Also i very rarely bother with this helicopter anymore.
If you mean 'is it easy the first time?'. Then id say no its not easy your first time. It takes quite alot of concentration which you will not be used to.
Its just practise thats all... the more you fly the real thing the better you get. Simulators are excellent for learning but you'll learn much more going down the field and putting a few gallons through your model.
nice
