  • @GetSomeHomeBoy1 its not a standard feature. it comes in the sun and sound package and maybe just as an add. i have the sun and sound in my lancer which just means it has a sunroof and a rockford fosgate sound system with a 10" sub in the trunk

  • @Boss187ooo Which isn't even remotely as fun as this car. Sorry, but the civic ain't in this class of fun cars. The civic are only slightly more fun then the GTS and those can be had for 3-4 grand less then the SI. The contenders. WRX...definately. The MS3...maybe (it usually wins just based on the price). The GTI...is pushing since if your looking for a that far into the comfort compromise, your really not in the same market anymore really. The SI is outclassed.

Besides that the WRX and MS3 are all row your own if you so choose that such is needed in your life. And if you want RWD, there is the genesis coupe I forgot about. The civic is a non contender if your looking at a serious fun car. Like i said, it barely wins out against the GTS.

  • @8packChris lol id rather get a wrx then a raliart personally and honestly the 9th gen civic Si is a sick car i test drove one and i loved it! more fuel efficient, more realiable and it sounds better stock and honestly you could throw a cold air in the civic and it would almost compete the raliart would still win but not by much and now a days its hard to find a decently fast car thats good on fuel and the 9th gen civic Si is a perfect car for that!

  • @Boss187ooo a 6.5 second car is not going to compete with a 5.4 second car .. a cold air intake/ sri with a good tune and a better exhaust might knock off .2 seconds.. in now way is a Si a better car than a ralliart. The Civic would get blown away , it has less horsepower = so better on gas is obvious. I would rather have an Evo over all of these cars. Frig.. get a cobalt ss/sc or tc 10,000 cheaper than an si and it'l be way faster and better on gas.

  • Id buy one of these. My car 2000 ford taurus has less hp less performance but gets the same mpg as the ralliart which has more power and handling.

  • The raliart is only one second slower in the quarter mile than the evo x and sti. With 2000 grand I can be faster than the evo x, due to the fact the ralliarts boost hits soo much lower. With a full turbo back esxhaust, intake, boost pill, and new ecu with a tune, you will be faster than a stock evo x. These cars arent much slower, and doesnt cost much to get the horsepower out of the engines. Look at some of the videos on youtube of guys beating evo x's with these mods.Got my ralliart used 17 G

  • @flipmodified66 With only 17,000 miles on it, with warranty that goes to 50, 0000. We are in a recession people. You can hassle those mofos at the dealers like crazy right now. They need to sell cars. So if you dont mind getting a used one with low miles and save 8 grand, i highly recommend it.

  • @flipmodified66 One would hope that 2million bucks (2000 grand) would let you be as fast as an EVO. The issue isn't power...it's the handling. To get the RA to take the corners as well as an EVO is gonna take a LOT of money. To get it to handle well enough in general requires 235 tires at the very least, which means a new set of rims. Sway bars, spring and casters is about 2g at least to get you in the same class as the EVO.

  • @flipmodified66 Your gonna need fully adjustable coilover and camber set to actually hang with the EVO and that's another 2+ grand.

    As for buying used...if your financing and you have good credit...umm no. 0.9% interest + dealer discounts will generally get you new cars for about the cost of slightly used. RA can be had for 25 grand from dealer pretty easily. WIth interest that is about 26 grand. If the slighly used is more then 19 grand, your overall cost is more then new at ~6% rate.

  • Please....Why not get a GSR for 2 or 3 grand extra? The price point for the RA is hard to comprehend. If the RA is an up-tuned Lancer why does it cost 29 grand? A regular well equiped Lancer cost around 21 grand. A 8,000 price differents is too rediculous. They should sell it for around 24 or 25 gee's IMHO.

  • @COOLRADIUM The actual price that RA sell for is around 25 grand tho. I mean even during peak car buying season, you get RA for 25ish. End of year will be lower.

  • @ColdNapalm42 I guess people in NY are getting robbed. They up sell the RA in NY if what you're saying is true. When I bought my EVO X, I saw a RA for 29 grand. The guy said It was fully loaded. "Whatever that means".!! You in from the South/midwest? I heard cars are cheaper there.

  • @COOLRADIUM Nor cal...and i consider prices high here. In so cal, you can get RA for a grand less then up here and EVOs start at 30 grand for new bare GSR. A fully loaded RA means it has the premium package and nav package...which is like 5 grand of add ons so 29 grand isn't too bad as the MSRP on that is suppose to be 34 grand. Course the better question why?!? Get a normal RA, pay 25 grand :P .

  • Terrible Recaro seats? Because bolsters are high? So if they were low, then Joe wouldn't complaint? I don't think so. He probably would've said that the seats are lacking support and that you're tossed like a bag of potatoes when going aggresive into turns, and that he wishes Mitsubishi had put more bolsters into the seats.

  • Drove this with a friend. I loved the seats and he was in pain. You definitely need to be of a certain build to fit these seats as they're quite rigid. As for the car, I didn't fall in love with it. It didn't feel as planted on the road as I would like. Probably a combination of the weight, tires, brakes, suspension, and center of gravity. It sounded really nice, had some power to it and looked aggressive, but for the money it really didn't feel sharp/sporty enough. Evo some day...

  • @spriteremix02 No it really is an uptuned lancer, not a detuned EVO. It doesn't have the EVO chassis, it has the standard lancer chassis.  And this is from somebody who actually likes the ralliart quite a bit.

  • @spriteremix02 the powertrain and drivetrain, yes an detuned evo(but barley detuned) the rest of it wheels, suspension, chasis, brakes, and most of it is barley an uptuned lancer. they balance out the power/drivetrain is close to an evo and the rest is like a lancer. slicing it self right in the middle. i own one now and its great. its hard to classify but its a lot of fun

  • @spriteremix02 How is the powertrain the same as the EVO?!? It's a single scroll with different pipings. The drivetrain is also not the same as the current EVO, it's from the previous gen which is pretty much in the stone age compared to what's in the EVO currently. It's an uptuned lancer...which is fine. It's still a very fun car to drive...and much less likely to break your back.

  • @spriteremix02 No, the powertain isn't a detuned EVO. A detuned evo engine would have the same pipings and a twin scroll running lower PSI...or maybe a smaller intercooler or a softer ECU. The similarity is that the engine block is the same...which is also the same as the normal lancers (sans the GLS which has a 2.4). Trust me, you can't even stick an EVO intercooler or exhaust system into the ralliart without doing some major change up. Not the same powertrain.

  • What are you on about "9th generation Evolution", each new Evo is not classed as a generation, generations are defined by a change of chassis which happens after every 3 evolutions so if you are referring to the Evo 9 4WD system you should of said 3rd generation Evo's because the Evo 7 & 8 also share the same 4WD system.

  • My mom's not exacly "slim" (sorry mom :P) and every car seat feels the same to her. but as soon as she sat in these recaro seats, she said it was comfertable, that it feels great and that it hugs you around corners. this honestly is the first time hearing someone say that they dont like them awsom seats

  • @5hak3itup No, it stays in first. You have to push the transmission lever to neutral yourself, I imagine that this way you wont blow up the engine or get rear-ended if you downshifted too much at the red light.

  • i can name at least 7 other cars in this segment that are better than this piece. so overly priced, so heavy. this car is nice to look at and fun to drive. but there's a lot of body roll and it costs a lot for what you get. and for those of you talking canadian dollars yes my friend bought this car last december for $39,995.

  • I have this car and there is NOT "alot" of body roll, yes it has body roll, but its not "alot", the main problem with this car is the tires, the stock tires on it suck fat popcorn farts...

    Yeah, you're right i'm sure its not a lot. It has the last generations evo MR suspension with a heavier body. Thus making it not as communicative as before, but yeah the body roll isn't that bad.

  • Actually, it has the AWD system from the Evo IX and a GTS suspension tuned for the Ralliart.

  • It's actually not that bad, its tighter then the normal GTS suspension, but softer then the Evo's, it fits quite nicely in the middle.

  • Body roll...well, I have seen the Impreza on many videos and life, and it has a lot of body roll, so, both are almost the same, from my point of view. If you dont want body roll, there is always a good Eibach or H&R suspension kit. About the tires, get Toyo Proxes, Falken or Hankook Ventus.

  • @Markierant37 Depends how tall you are. I'm 6'3 210lbs or so, and I had recaro's installed in my vette, and they were terrible, almost painful to ride in. All my buddies who were 5'11 or shorter loved them.

    I had to get corbeau a4's custom fitted. If you aren't actively tracking, these aggressive seats will just hurt your back.

  • Wrong a sports cars most important factor is its suspension and anti roll bars a sports car is meant to be driven hard the lancer has soft suspension designed for normal road use you cant strap a big engine to a limo and expect it to become a sports car and this is the same principle.

  • Its not a automatic, think of it as a manual without a clutch pedal, look up twin clutch or sst or dsg

  • no it is an automatic but you can use the paddle shit and go manual its jhust not the ole stick but you can set it back to auto if you like but i like manual but i wish there was a clutch tho like on the floor like the gas n break...hope that helped
