Eee. Well, I have one hand- sort of, once doesn't work /or/ bend so it's useless- I can type with one habd at about 6 WPM. Exactly. Its super easy for me but everyone is like "how in the hell do you do it?" Meh. Good stuff. Getting my arm amputated in a month.

Ok... I'm impressed. Since it's something close to my heart, I wonder how you fair at playing piano? Also, reading your interests, I hope if you ever become a doctor that you won't be afraid to step outside of text book diagnosis and won't be quick to dismiss someone who doesn't have the most obvious causes for symptoms as an anxiety or psychological issue. It is said that symmetry is directly associated with art and beauty... You are more proof that text books are only good to a certain point.♥

@Sarimperil Nothing amazing? I've spent much of my life developing the abilities on those 88 keys that I may have squandered, but my typing is embarrassing to say the least. Whatever it is you can do musically, I'd love to hear/see. Perhaps you're modest as I try to be, but just from the typing vid (you type faster than I ever will) you amazed and humbled me already.

Did you take typing classes? And are there any for amputees? Just wondering.

@hersheybar11 I don't know of any typing classes just for amputees. In grade school we used a typing program (I can't remember it at all, but in middle school we used "mavis" something - a different program). I learned with all the other kids and was always top or second in class (another kid and I competed all the time).

How many WPM's? You're very fast! Your little nubbin is very flexible. When I worked as an automation instructor I trained a woman with only two fingers on each hand and no thumbs and she could do 30+ WPM's with ease. I suppose you work with what you have. Thanks for sharing with us because it will quell many curiosities about how people with disabilities are so resourceful and creative to get every day activities done.

Whoa. I'm impressed by how proficient you are at using your arm.

I was born without my left hand, and I type about 60 wpm. I move my right hand between both sets of home row keys, and only use my left arm for the shift.

For learning, we have to rely more on teaching ourselves, and less on observing others. It's interesting to see the unique methods being devised.

I don't want to give the impression that I'm some kinda weird devotee or anything. But I have a fetish for hands that started since my early high school years when I would be assigned to draw alotta sketches of hands.  I got so good at sketching hands that I developed a liking for hands. I can tell immediately that you are female and by looking at your left hand, I'd havta say this.

Haha in elementary school we did this typing game. And I get really competitive so this one guy and I were always competing for "best" 24/7. That, and I just worked with computers a lot!
