@tfstones i dont know why. cause traditional grip was only made because snares were carried by straps which most drumlines still use and with harnesses there's no need to play traditional grip. traditional grip is only for show anyways these days. and i personally prefer matched grip because it is very easy when you are trying to teach an entire drumline.
@TheDragonmaster18 if you are playing a traditional style show then you should play it traditionally. But the way i see it, if people are going to continue to use traditional then everyone should at least have some experience with it. In the long run, i agree with you, traditional grip should be abolished from the world completely
@strykarr I wouldn't be so sure, at the A&M game I saw a tuba player chase down a core cadet with his tuba still on and put him in a choke hold after he tried to steal one of our hats.
