@GaladedridDamodred Yes God is a He - what difference does that make to the grammatical error of the phrase? High and lifted up is a descriptor ABOUT Him and does not refer to 'who' He is. It's sloppy use of language. Anyway - its not important enough to argue about!!! Its just a shame as otherwise I would have used the song myself!

@eromdirp Well, I don't think God should be classified as a He either. If God is limitless and without boundaries, then God must be female as well as male, and everything in between. To say that God is one thing and not another thing is to put limits on the scope of His being; therefore, the case might be made that God is embodied in every particle of reality, every man, woman, animal, tree, star, planet and raindrop...

However, He does happen to have revealed Himself to us as He in the most part - and when He took on human flesh, He did it as a male in the person of Jesus Christ. Please - I'm not looking for a debate - I was just picking up on some disappointing grammar in an otherwise good song (which I know is still glorifying Him because He sees the heart)!

All the same, is not the Shekina YHWH's female aspect before which the Archangels kneel in Heaven? Male and female; Ha Shem and Shekina; the Name and the Presence.

@eromdirp and @Galadedrid....when we offer our worship to GOD in singing or in prayer or any other aspect.....GOD does not look for grammatical errors or wrong spellings in ur singing or in prayer or in whatever we say (that goes towards eromdirp); God simply looks at the quality of ur heart. (towards Galadedrid) If thats genuinely seeking GOD, everything else falls into place according to His will and purpose.

@sd271ps - not quite true I'm afraid - although it is the heart He is concerned with (and I am certain the heart of these guys is good) - we worship in Spirit and in TRUTH. Therefore - what we say does matter - it MUST, as far as our language and wisdom allows, be in line with the Word of God. Having said that, my issue with this song is not that it is against the truth - it is simply poor, sloppy grammar and I therefore will not be introducing it to my church! End of!

@sd271ps i agree with u. we are not perfect and the more we seek God with our entire, heart mind and soul, everything will fall in place. it just takes time and daily surrendering on the persons part to God. God Bless you all and let us have the Spirit that we may love as Jesus loves the entire world even though most hate Him. I desire to have His love and forgiveness each day. We all should too..... :)
