  • Hi, I have a problem with my mig welder(I am a hobby welder). The feed wire is not constant the drive motor seems to stop & start .Got a new mother board but this not help (SIP 150 dual propose mig welder) Hoping to hear from you soon,

  • @bootsy2589 Thanks for the comment bootsy, although we would feel uncomfortable commenting on another company's product line...

  • Hello, Would it be any problem if I just unblock and clean the contact tip when burnback happens? Thanks..

  • what the fuck, you never get rid of your tips, you get plyers and take out the wire, or it should free itself when it cools, what the fuck you cant weld steel to a copper (thus the tip is copper). fuck you miller, thats why i dont get a miller coz of bullshit that wants them to make more money. fuck miller i bought a cigweld transmig 200

  • You can also get birdnesting if you use crappy mig wire. I bought some HF wire and it was kind of dirty. It just did not feed well and it would bind up no matter how I adjusted the roller pressure. Had no trouble at all with Hobart wire. Sometimes I have problems with Lincoln wire.

  • I like to recess the contact tip about 1/8 inch.

  • Great tips, thanks

  • I carry a file(for years) just a few quick strokes with the file works every time

  • yeaah the tips are ''cheap'' just unscrew it cut the wire and throw it away! NOT!!!! they cost 2 bucks each, if its got wire stuck in it just grind the end of the tip off, just like @ americanfabricator said

  • @dimmyrocks I don't know where you're buying your tips, but you'er getting ripped of if you're paying $2 a piece.

  • JMHO....if you are birdnesting, the feed rollers are too tight.....

  • Usually once the tip cools a little bit, the wire will break free and start feeding again. Just flick the trigger a couple times and it should break. Don't hold it down or you could end up with a birds nest. Check out more MIG troubleshooting vids in my channel.

  • haha i heard that... sometimes all it takes is to just grab the nub of the wire and pull. only once have i really HAD to change tips because of this.

  • BS - just grind tip and the tip is brand new. Miller wants more money.
