IS FERENC RÁKÓCZI II (1676-1735) THE SUPOSED COMPOSER OR AUTHOR OF THE TWO SONGS? IN OTHER WORDS DOES THE ATTRIBUTION CONCERN THE MUSIC OR THE VERSES OF THE TWO SONGS?
@TASSOS1965 These poems were composed in the name of the famous Hungarian monarch (as if he sung them). Both are a sort of a prayer, the first from 1704, the second from the end of the 18th century). They were written down in old Hungarian manuscripts. The tunes are also from the 18th century.
