Having now watched the documentary, the only complaint I have is that it does seem odd that they didn't do a better job of secretly filming. It strikes me that perhaps they wanted to get spotted filming to get some shots of angry people looking at the cameras!
I think Sweeney did an excellent job of talking to the criminal child abusers!
@richardpatrick32123 Really appreciate that you went and watched it! I didn't like how Sweeney did it, I was very unsurprised that the people didn't want to say particularly much to him in the context they were in. I think he would have been able to extract more information if he had actually arranged a proper interview, or at least not screamed at them in the streets.
@AccioJellyBean Whenever I hear that kind of documentary film being advertised, I always say to myself that I'll watch it. I hardly ever remember though! So thank you for motivating me to actually see it! lol. To be fair, the BBC did actually write to them to try to arrange formal interviews. But you're right, it's not surprising they didn't say much to him. To be fair to Sweeney, he wasn't aggressive towards them, he just asked difficult questions to which he knew he wouldn't get answers!
I havent seen it yet but provisionally: I agree on point 1 and 2. I don't agree on point 3. When I've seen it I'll come back with any revised opinions!
I think much of the so-called informative media is awful these days in how it is made more for entertainment and quite often is politically biased, rather than giving straight facts letting the viewer make up their minds. I like documentaries but most of them are rubbish, with about 15 minutes of meat and the rest filler... You might find this video interesting on the techniques of changing reality. /watch?v=TH_9QcMCkvg
@ModerateMartian I'll definitely have a watch of that. I'm studying Baudrillard's theory of simulation and hyperreality at the moment so I've been thinking a lot about what we're shown and to what extent it actually represents reality. Thank you for the link!
@AccioJellyBean You may well know the tricks in the vid but maybe you'll find it interesting. "Baudrillard's theory of simulation" I feel a Google coming on... Never heard of it.

I noticed that with them getting caught out with them big cameras.
I noticed the voice dubbing of the boss being accused.
I have noticed in a lot of Panoramas that it does seem one sided in other documentaries I have seen.
I loved how your phone went off in this video.

@BarryAldridge I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed all this Barry!
