The easiest way to beat alpha is to launch and then juggle. Ground strings are not the way to go...

what is launch and juggle? I really have a problem with all the doa games with countering and throwing. only way i can beat her is constant dashing and punching

A launcher is any move that knock an opponent into the air. Like Jann Lee / Lei Fang's u/f K on counter hit. When an opponent is knocked into the air, they can't defend or counter, so moves like p,p,k will all connect.  With a little training it is easy, since DOA has a very good training mode.

Even without juggles, Alpha isn't hard to counter once you realize where here lows and mid kicks are coming from.

hey thank you :) I find countering very hard. I guess I always win with launch and juggle. I never see if a punch is middle or low, for some reason I can't really seperate crouching from normal stance with certain characters :)

would you happen to know if you can unlock spartan costumes in tag team time attack? :)
