Great video!! I did the same thing for shits and giggles and it did the same thing. At 45yards I was off over a foot to the left and 3.5 inch groups. The rope cocker brought everything back to center and 1.5 inch groups.A great tip: I marked the serving string with a marker the sides of the rail on both sides so when I cock the rope I can see if its pulled back evenly :)
Commen sense should tell you to always check that string is even on both side if you hand cock your cross bow. When sighting your crossbow in always cock it the same way you will while out in the field then sights will be on. Pattern wasn't much off much by each other other than location due to different cocking style.
I got my predator last november 2010, it has scope mount issue like many. Insted of fighting Barnet again, I bought a Parker Concorde over E-bay for a little more than half the price of Bass Pro Shop. The Predator has Issues that Barnet won't get back to me on... One is the cheek piece being to short the other is the string serving, and now the scope mounting. Also I did order a string from them a month almost ago and just now are they shipping it from what the lady told me on the phone today.
If you're going to draw back the string by hand make two marks on the string either side of the rail with silver pen. Make sure that these marks are spaced evenly when you cock it. If you dont the bolt will pull either to the right or left depending on how uneven the string is.
Definitely makes a difference I used to pull back my Barnett c5 wildcat with my hands and could never really get a consistent group. I was just about to just give up on it then I bought a $25 cocking rope and the difference is like night and day seriously ! I'm now putting three arrows at 30 yards in a 2inch circle
@MattTheOak the reason it makes a difference is cause if u get the string cockd to one side or the other its going to pull the arrow to that direction

using hand would actually damge the string right? plus the crank is more for disabled people.
