  • 3= us doing it

    4=a little slower

    6= xDD

  • press 1 and you'll hear horny

  • Can someone help me how i get left leg kick stronger??

  • @yezaw1001 stand on that he bend the knee push up slow. simple exercise to stegrthn your kick, also throw you hip in.

  • @ThePoop1579 Thx i tried so many time buy at least this works ! thx=)

  • @yezaw1001 Lots of ways. You can do wall sits, lift weights with your legs, etc. They also need to be flexible, so try doing the splits as far as you again regularly.

  • @Dinoenthusiastguy thx this really work=)

  • For people who do, practice, learn, and train in Taekwondo, using the term "540" typically refers to a "540 reverse hook kick".

If in this video he had not kicked after spinning, but instead used the existing spin to turn another halfround, and then kicked a Reverse Hook Kick in mid-air, then it would be a TKD 540.

Observe both his legs and mentally cut them into halfspins.

    540 kick (tricking) = halfspin-halfspinKICK -halfspin -land

    540 kick (taekwondo) = halfspin-halfspin-halfspinKICK -land

  • @shrimpiness who cares

  • Okay here's some clarification for you guys.

A 540 refers to the total number of degrees the hip/trunk/core spins from the moment a single leg leaves the floor, to the moment it returns.

So technically, YES, this is a 540 kick (take note that it is "540 kick" and not "540 hook kick"), because immediately after the reverse hook kick in the beginning, he spins and kicks as if in a 360 Turning Kick (tkd term), BUT he lands on his kicking leg! So yes it's a 540 kick.

    Please see my next comment.

  • Awesome!!

  • um... that's a spinning heel kick and a 360 roundhouse... not a 540

  • @19red80

depends....in tricking thats a proper 540, but dunno about tkd terms

  • He reminds me of steve terada! =D

  • isn't this a 360 kick? cause he span 360 degree and kicked

  • @MrLogicXD In TKD I believe they call the kick known as cheat 720 kick in tricking a 540 kick. So the kick known as 540 kick in tricking is prolly something else than it is in TKD ;).

  • @ 1:02 "BAM!" strike a gay pose

  • his eyes when he mentions hes a third degree black belt make it look like he is surprised at it :L kinda like "oh shit im REALLY third degree?!"

  • i'm red belt and i can't do that ):

  • this didnt explain anything.

  • love it so much !., your're so good .,

  • lol... I suppose this moves makes your butt itchy... lol

  • so is it hook kick with right leg and 540 with left leg?

  • Man i like tae kown do xD

  • HA Ya ! :D

  • @PerseusHero No he was simply scratching his ass, there is nothing wrong with that.

  • Cool video =] nice clear instructions.

  • ayah.!

  • @PerseusHero lol i remember when i go to my classes and when i had to put my gear together for sparring my uniform is like all messed up after sparring xD

Do u take Taekwando? wat belt are u if u are?

  • Where would you target with a hook kick while sparring? I do KICKSTART Karate and am currently a purple belt. (second rank up)

  • Waw....that 540 is cool. I wish I could do that

  • OH and props to Caleb, this is definitely not easy to do. I've been involved in martial arts for about 12 years now. I did Shito Ryu Karate, Ju-jitsu, and now i'm a tae kwon do instructor. I've worked to develop this kick and so far no luck. Keep up the good work

  • That shouldn't be allowed. in most schools you don't get an actual black belt until you are 15 because if you get it to early then you end up like yourself and think your better than everybody

  • got this in my first try so easy

  • I'm learning from this self defense school that teaches various martial arts(I guess you could call it MMA). One of the moves they teach us is the Hook Kick. I'm just curious what is the point of the Hook Kick? Sorry if I it sounds like I'm insulting TKD.

  • Rockn, u do MMA. U probly thinking punching, roundhouse kicks and takedowns are the most effective. Hook kick is not the easiest kick in the book, it requires practise and flexibility, it is also very powerful whe executed properly and if u use it in MMA no one will expect it. Btw i also do MMA

  • if your fighting somebody who is in a southpaw stance and you are in an orthodox stance you can still kick them in the stomach and face.

  • Hey RocknRollOaku, i think i can help you out with this one.The purpose of a hook kick, is to kick your opponent on the side of the head/front depending on where you are standing. The kick is designed to go around the guard. If using a spinning hook, the momentum created by the spin makes it difficult to block and a very powerful. Of course this is all in theory and assumes it is applied correctly. In the2008 Olympics a Cuban athlete hit a referee with this kick, i'm sure you can find the clip.

  • A hook kick is not as useful as some of the more basic kicks, such as a side kick, back kick or round house. However, at times it can be extremely effective. In close, a flexible person can kick to the back of the head with an amazing amount of power. Farther away, it is useful for getting around someone's guard when a straighter kick wouldn't work. There is a place for spinning and hign kicks in real life: they just have to be set up properly.

    That's my karate perspective.

  • i can do that, hooking kick to 360 jump turning kick, i wanna see a full 540 in the air

  • 21 to 23 he scratches his ass lol

  • @xIMxSOxFRESHx

Like PerseusHero said, he was fixing his Dobok.

I do it all the time as well because the pants are a little too big and so I tended to fix them and it became a habit.

  • @xIMxSOxFRESHx Hehehe you sick bastard.

  • thnx so much!!!

  • I do taekwondo, i became a high purple friday and i still cant do hooking x'D We learned when i was a blue belt (Two belts before high purple)

  • yea ur videos rrly help me out im tryna nail this 4 my demo

  • I'm so going to try next time i go to my tkd school.

  • in grammar n middle school i was the kid always being picked on n shit n i can't take it anymore... however they're not the ones who set me over the edge... that was my cuz's friends ...n i can keep bottling up my anger anymore...to show everyone of them that im not the person they think i am, ive decided to start taking tae kwon do over the summer... not just for kicking their asses but also as a good thing to have.. cuz im just a tall skinny weak white kid... i cant wait cuz i wanna go far...

  • oh yeah!^^

i will do tae kwon do over summer to!

and i want to go far!

  • you won't be able to kick any ass over the summer...its 4 months to get a yellow belt, and your being taught the basics...os watch what you do, or learn more by yourself and apply it to what your'e being taught in tkd lessons/training sessions

  • lol if you go in the army you will learn way more crap than they can teach you in taekwondo in a week than they do a year..

  • You do realise that soldiers ar taught to fight with GUNS to try to protect thier country, and martial artists are taught to fight using thier HANDS to defend themselves and others? You can't compare a martial arts school with the army.

  • 1.. yeah they do teach you to fight with guns but they teach you a lot of hand to hand combat dont tell me that they dont.. i have been there.. no taekwondo is not for self defense.. it is a sport and nothing more.maybe some stuff would help you.. but barely any of it is for real self defense.. be specific about what martial arts you are talking about too.. learn your facts before you say shit like that.. cause aikido will get you killed.. and that my friend is a martial art, sport nothing more

  • what we know as tkd is a sport now, it has been adapted to be a sport, thats why it is in the olympics, i train wtf, but itf keeps the more traditional and more brutal side of it, as an original martial art, it was for self defence, it was designed for war, where you were supposed to kill the other party (not always but you get the point), it has been watered down, but so has every other, bcause now people do not need to know how to engage in combat and kill, so the "real" art was way + dangerous

  • that makes more sense... but thats just the history of it.. the stuff they teach you besides kicks shouldnt be used in a real fight...

  • but you know half the people in it will be urging to do just that

  • Comment removed

  • You're nothing but a wannabe

  • yup :] i want to be many things..

  • the army and every other military branch trains in martial arts as well. hand-to-hand combat. the main training style would be krav maga. so yes the military does have to learn how to fight with their HANDS. learn something before you post about my service.

  • Hey, I'm not posting anything about your "service". I know that every military branch learn martial arts, it's just that the guy I was talking to compares a martial artist to a soldier. Many martial artists, assuming they don't go to the army, don't risk their lives for their country. A soldier does. Maybe YOU should check who I'm arguing with and why before talking to me. If you're soldier or not, I coudn't care less.

  • Awesome, another life story, aren't we privaledged.....

  • good

  • i almost did it

    But fell on my ass

  • fancy kick,cool.:)

  • you're hook kicks seem 2 travel down as u kicks them, that's incorrect

  • using gravity help with the kicks, so kicking dowards gets you more power + speed

  • @astralkarate

It's only used in sparring, and it does work...

  • wasn't that a 360 after the reverse hook kick? well if you add the degrees yeah it

ll be a 540 but for a 540 you need to spin in the air 540 degrees before you land.

  • It's simply a 540 kick. Degree rotation really doesn't matter, despite the name.

540 comes from 540 tornado kick, which is what this essentially is. a tornado (360) hypered (overspun, landed on the kicking leg, so another 180)

    360 + 180 = 540.

So ya, it really shouldn't be called a 540, because a lot of the time there really isn't 540 degrees, but it generally makes sense and is a lot easier on the mind than "hyper tornado".

  • It is a 540

  • well yeah, a 360 landed on the kicking foot is considered a 540 but if you notice, a really good 540 does actually spin 540 degrees. if you got really proper rotation, you're facing the opposite direction than that of a 360 by the time you've landed on the kicking leg.

  • Great video great technique..keep it up

  • you forgot to use your arms... (in the 540)

  • Tae-kwon-show for the win!

  • hahaha you guys are bitches....."sloppy landing" wtf is a good landing?

  • thats a bad bali. no lie

  • Yours is worse.

  • sure. mines was only from 2 years ago

  • put slow motion dude.... i want to know exactly how to turn at the last kik. Thank u!!!

  • booo execution! landing is sloppy.

  • why dont you have any videos showing how to do it if urs is so good

  • : )

  • <(*.*<)

  • he does have one where he does it

  • i no... lol

  • no a really 540 jumping spining hook kick;just a combo kick only (reverse hook+tornado kick)

  • not bad nice nice! I love it :D

  • Rubbish.....his discription is right....besides...every instructor wasn't taught the same way anyways..so names may vary but the kicks are all the same -.- why are you guys so controversial.....

  • wow!! as a 4th degree black belt, that is not a 540 hook kick!!!! 540 would be one and a half rotations, jumping off your left leg and kicking with your right. This is total bullshit, and compltetly false. Wow, isn't there a law against stuff like this?

  • Uhhh it says Hook Kick "TO" 540 kick. Not a 540 hook. And also his dominant leg may be the opposite of yours.

  • you're right, I didn't read the post. However, it's still not a 540. It would be a butterfly. Which is a tornado roundhouse landing on the kicking leg. It's still not a 540.

  • absolutely correct!

  • i am still in green belt and i really want to do hook kick and 900 kick dam i am such a noob i know myself better than anyone.

  • 900? you know it looks nice but hasn't much practical application

  • Nicely done.Good technique, well executed.Doesn't matter what you call it, it looks great.

As for the "dumbass" comments: the correct way to write it is "dumb ass".It is two separate words.I don't know what style or Master SeV619 trains under, but obviously old world respect is not part of his training.People should just open their closed minds and learn,if not learning technique maybe you can at least learn a little respect for others.SeV619, how about posting your awesome moves.

  • People who say it's 540 i think because they count the step right before you kick. Normally, me and my friends call that kick "halo kick"

  • dumbass..that guy is 3rd degree?then he's a dumb black belt. im a 2nd dan and that kick hes doin is not a 540. its a left side single leg 360. what a dumbass black belt. whos his master? another dumbass that told him thats a 540. fucking people dont know math

  • i am a 1st degree black belt and im still having trouble with the 540. Are there any tips that you could give me???

  • If your left footed(turning counter-clockwise) then lifting your left leg is crucial to creating the spin effect.

  • i never knew that i was doing a 540 all along!! lol.

  • Ezy ;)

  • nice... i know what i need to practice now.

  • thats kool

  • thats sick
