For one, Dundee is in Scotland which is a separate country, however as 4 countries - Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales we make up the United Kingdom. I respect Galloway more than any british politician out there, but I'm having difficulties in understanding why he's willing to endorse obama, who is a supporter of AIPAC (an Israeli lobby for congress), which is considered by many as an extremely influential force that dictates the way the middle east is perceived, such as the occupation in Palestine as a justification to prevent terrorism, or the pre-emptive bombing of iran as act that should be taken without the consideration of the fallout

The Democrats have become spineless. I think they are dealing with two problems: 1. They are afraid of not looking strong on defense (how about intelligent on defense, why can't they say it?) 2. Military-Industrial Complex/National Security State (which kills people who get in the way). But they all deserve F's. Gravel deserves a lot of credit for standing up for peace and democracy. I don't agree with his tax plan, that's the only reason I don't support him.

I really, really respect George Galloway, but I'm just so surprised he's making such a sophomoric error by compromising the left principles too soon. Let the primaries sort it out, and pick the candidates on the actual left. The sooner they start coming up in the polls, the better those shill candidates become. I'm seeing this happen to Hillary Clinton right now (of course, she'll betray every single one of them, but maybe not if she can be really moved to the left).

Obama might be okay, but he's running on nothing more than feel-good statements on unity. My problem is he picked Joe Lieberman (who makes Tony Blair and Bill Clinton look like radicals) to be his mentor in the Senate. Lieberman was a Democrat who made lots of comments about how great the war was, and then he lost the Democratic Primary in Connecticut. He won re-election to the Senate as an independent, and he still loves the war.

Um... I can't see why Galloway is supporting this guy. He's the complete and total opposite of anything resembling the radical left. And the way it works in the US is that you don't compromise your principles until after the primaries have decided the candidate, then you can support the shill candidate. But you can make those candidates better by supporting the more progressive left candidates in the primaries. That's why I support Kucinich.
