@Harresd , facts are most of medical advancements made throughout history did partially occur in animal testing... but a wide percentage occured in situations such as the holocaust, Unit 731 and tests on the mentally insane/challenged and criminals. Alot of important surgeries which save human lifes were first perfected (with failures) on animals like chimps. Its heartbreaking to see animal lives lost like that, but they died for a cause. But the point of this experiment ( assuming real), is probably to test Life Support, which some unfortunate people rely on to live. Those systems you see in hospitals were likely tested on animals first as well, though not documented.
If the dog was dead before then its probably to test artificial resurrection.

@Harresd , facts are most of medical advancements made throughout history did partially occur in animal testing... but a wide percentage occured in situations such as the holocaust, Unit 731 and tests on the mentally insane/challenged and criminals. So if you think about all of history and the horrible creatures people are; animal testing has brought us very little in comparison to other events. @Harresd they laready knew the brain could remain active for several hours after removal so long as it has been immersed in oxygenated blood. Dr. Robert White removed an apes brain and it gave off several electrical impluses after removal so yeah they didn't need to do this because they already knew what the results where. Why do people get outraged about topics they know nothing about?
These experiments lead to the development of open heart surgery techniques and were responsible for the creation of the life-support system still used in organ transplants today.
A couple dozen dogs died so millions of humans could live. Do you know anybody who has had major surgery? Would you accept an organ transplant to save your life, or the life of your child?
Then thank these doctors and the dogs and go about your day.

this is the real footage. and i know that people think this is wrong but also you have to see this from mankinds point of view. the kind of things that we are able to achieve now, heart and lung transplants all of that kind of thing had to start somewhere and this is where yes i realise it is wrong and it is hard to watch but it has happened for the good of mankind so that if need be we could save anybody that needs saving. it is a very fine line and yes this may cross it.
