Paul "The Scoutmaster" Lynde himself in the audience amongst the kiddies! I all but idolized him as a kid. If I only knew... I miss both Paul and Bob.
Omg I remember this song. Put a smile on my face actually. Brings me back to when I was 5-6 yrs old and I'm 43 now. Wish they would re air these for today's generation of kids to see, not the crap that is on now
This brings back memories. Times seemed much different because information could not be so readily transmitted. Internet and cellular phones were used only by government and military. Technology in energy is the one thing which has been held back. It is thought that by keeping society dependent on fossil fuels, the families who own the central banks can more easily capture the world's total economy. Today those opulent families are close to their goals.
Yea SUPER YEA! I LOVED this SHOW! Whata positive and WONDERFUL Thing, Bob McAllister did! Thank you so much! I loved the fashions, in transition, and the much more aware time on many levels.
OMG. I so remember this show and this song. I totally forgot it until I saw this. This is what Saturday was all about!! And where is that Appollo bike for the dance winner.
I was on Wonderama in 1975. I wish there were archives of the shows as I would love to have a copy of the show I was on. I remember the taping took around 8 hours for a show that aired for 3 hrs on TV. The musical guest for the show I was on was Ben Vereeen...just things I remember about those days :-) I still have the Ben Vereen album that was given to all the kids as one of the audience gifts.....
Did anyone else out there use to watch this Sun, morning on WNEW (Channel 5) New York:??? ... i loved Bob McAllister... showed to my kids and response: "What kind of show is that??"
@peyserr I watched that show between 1968 and 1974 prior to the Bug Bunny Road Runner hour. Loved it. The questions that he asked kids were more advanced than what adults are answering on "Millionaire" today. I would like to go back.
@peyserr I use to watch this show with my brothers every sunday I was hoping to find an episode with finkle heimer finkle dinkle hiemer my brother al use to do a great impersonation & dance best part was the ending If you didnt sing along you would turn into a horny toad frog! my oldest was laughin @ me when she heard the kids r people too song
@peyserr I used to watch this too! My brother& I got a chance to see Wonderama (not sure if the show had been on TV) & Bob McAllister autographed a pic for us. Ahhhh to be a kid again!
the hooded claw heard penelope pitstop was going to make an appearance, so he sat waiting on the bleachers. - She is out driving in another wacky race, which is why the seat next to him is empty.
@maejunkmail Paul Lynde was one of the funniest actors on film. Congrats, by the way. If you ever get a chance, watch him on James Garner's film "How Sweet it is!"
Wow I miss This...I love the 70s...Great times good shows on TV....
