  • Government needs to stay OUT of business and the free market. Create a bill for limited terms YOU and our other elected officals are not doing your job.

  • I vote we hold you lying thieving bastards to one term ! You get one chance to get it right and no time to get on the payroll of all these special interest groups and lobbyist. Hell if we through up a wall around Washington we'd have a ready made prison full of thieves !

  • People like Grassley talk out both sides of their asses. They say government health care would be poorly run and provide horrid coverage. They also state that it would be unfair as private insurance would not be able to compete against it.

If the public option is a bad as Chuck and Friends are making it out to be, who would CHOOSE it and why WOULDN'T the private insurers be able to compete with it?

  • NPR had an interview with a minister in Britain's Department of Health who commented on Grassley's statement:

"countries that have government-run health care would not have given Sen. Edward Kennedy, who suffers from a brain tumor, the same standard of care as in the U.S. because he is too old"

The minister stated that this comment was pretty much a steaming pile of BS.

Hey Chuck! Thanks for lying to our faces. If you had ANY integrity, you would retract this. (I know, it's a pretty big IF)

  • Sen "Assley" is another lying REPUBE sack of s%$T.

The big Health Insurance companies have their hands deeply and thoroughly up his wrinkled bunghole.

This liar has the nerve to repeat idiot Sarah Palin's LIES about "Government Death Panels" at public town halls.

A clear and utter LIE. This tool knows he can get away with it, because most of the fools at his town hall are brain dead conservatives who will believe ANY crap tossed at them by their so-called leader and Faux News.

  • YOU SUCK GRASSLEY! You don't care about people. GET A REAL JOB!

  • Here's my common sense input. Join the 72% of Americans that want a single payer option. Sen. Grassley seems to be happy poking around the edges with doctor payola and tort reforms, but that's not going to cut it. If the right has a problem with universal care then they had best do more than a four page pamphlet and FUD.

  • Why do Republicans want to line the pockets of mega-millionaire insurance co. execs while denying health care benefits to our children.

America needs competition in health care choices. However, just like 8 years of Republican NO bid contracts, Republicans are against competition.

  • "Why do Republicans want to line the pockets of mega-millionaire insurance co. execs while denying health care benefits to our children."

I think it has a lot to do with the millions in lobbying money the insurance companies and Big Pharm spend on politicians.

  • my Iead is make heath care for all american like canada has you have paid in payroll taxes but everyone is cover make hath care for vertens&americans adl heathcare for all verterns too do way with va hosp. let them use reg hosp they well get better treatments it will work Grov. downsize ty ken w stephens sr

  • Healthcare reform is not a political issue, but addresses the need to stop the suffering and exploitation of the American people at the hands of these heath care insurance companies. Every day the United States stalls on following a Canadian, British, Cuban, French style health care system, more Americans are murdered by insurance companies. How many Americans will be bankrupted or allowed to die today as a result of this cruel and inhumane system?

  • You have it the other way around! Canadians have to come to the States for care before they DIE WAITING for care in Canada! Many Canadians buy health insurance so they can get care in the US.

  • its all about affordability. here's a thought to bat around: If no one has insurance then free market would force hospitals not to charge so much. Another though for bigger treatments, have something like a interest free mortgage, you pay something every month (that is reasonable, their already a billing dept at most hospitals); they can also try to implement work programs, let their patients do and feel useful.

  • Instead of interfering in business practices and calling on businessmen to commit suicide, Sen. Grassley should focus on the correcting government's unfunded entitlement liabilities; isn't that the job of a leader on the Senate Finance Committee?

  • wow the dog and pony show is getting fancy.

lol yeah you wanna cap rewards so that doctors get carte blanche. always taking from the little guy...the injured one in this case...

  • Why was a doctor forced to close his practice because he provided cheap monthly payments for unlimited healthcare for people with no insurance? Shouldn't people like this be rewarded, rather than punished?

  • who the hell paid for that newsroom?!!!! oh right us!!!!

  • Did you look into free market healthcare?
