you know, we grow up saying how much the 80's sucked, how embarced we are of the pictuers, laugh at how horribel the music is. Now where all in our 30's and 40's and suddenly we all want our my pet monsters, nintendos and spandex. Recently where i live, the local gay bar/dance club, had a 80's night, all the guys from the 80's showed up in regualr clothes, but every one under 30 showed up like a 80's fashion mag. Where did they get them? It's caues the stoers and parents held on to all of it.
The one I loved, and still do was called Helen. I always think of her regardless of the years which have gone by. Love is beautiful. Thanks for the song.
This is for you Ms Sarah Jones---all grown up now, but the best Bridesmaid a girl could have. Do you remember when I dedicated this song to you at the wedding. You'll find this message one day when you search this site. I wish I never left you--I cried too.
I was in HS 1986 when this song came out: I LOVE it and dedicated to my Sarah flowergirl at my 2002 wedding---I never found another truly beautiful flowergirl and tiny friend like my Sarah may 18 02 dedication song at wedding. Great Memories xs2
Don't hear vocals like this anymore. Burton Cummings, Kevin Cronin, Darryl Hall, Mickey Thomas---and others, still good music today, but not like this.
It reminds me of a rich nice bubbly happy prosperous girl in high school I allways wanted to be and LOOK LIKE. She was from a Rich uppper class family. I Envied her. Yet liked her.
I allways looked up to her+admired her for being smart skinny and pretty. Her name was Amy S---ys.
She also looked really good even without makeup and was a HIGH SCHOOL dept. store model. 20 yrs later I still think of her.
My hair is long like hers was. STill have dreams that one day I will see her again.
Can anyone tell me the film that this song was prominently featured in, the storey line was that of a mother driving off with the kids in the back and that song playing in the back ground, think they all died in the end!
OH this song . it just popped up in my head i had to google the lyrics cuz i know em. i was a lil girl and this music touched me so. beautiful lyrics and music and a even better video. BRING BACK GOOD MUSIC
Damn, i remember hearing this song as a kid in the backseat in the 80s. And I always remembered that Sarah part, I look it up, what do i find.. Heh. Wow
@chrisadmin Yes, it is. A true babe of the Eighties. Not like the skanks I went to high school with in the Nineties. Apparently, they never heard of a razor blade. I just pretend thet the last 2 decades never happened. And I'll do that with this decade too.
What's the story behind this video, or song? What's the relation between the b&w footage and the color montage? I guess both character were called 'Sara,' right? But what's up with the tornado undertone, seems like both character's apparently ride off into the horizon to meet their doom.
Either both characters are Sara, or he's contrasting losing his mom in that Tornado (it seemed she suicidally bicycled into a tornado storm), and contrasting it to some sort of 'tornado of spirits' with his relationship with the other Sara and making a contrast. Maybe there was a turbulent relationship or something, and it just succumbed to it and fell apart. Seemed like two important people in his life left him and he made blues about it.
I love this song, I remember having a crush on a girl in the sixth grade and this song was just my dedication for her if anything. Lisa Woodworth was my favorite girl, LOL

Mickey Thomas has one of the best and most powerful voices in music industry ever, along with Steve Perry (Journey). My favorites.
