Actually, I remember when he was on CNBC. It was around Christmas Time of 2000 right before the market started crashing all the way down till 2003. so, the dow was actually declining during the time NOT going up. They had him in the studio I think to cheer up all of the viewers who were losing all of their money waiting for the rally that never came.
