  • Great, I love the song and also Audrey.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this song makes me so HAPPPYYYY!!!

  • HI

    THIS

    SONG

    COMPLETES MY

    FUCKING

    LIFE

  • c'était un mélange de beauté et de charme INDEFINISSABLE!

  • Just a great, classic Mancini. I love his music... :-)

  • Je t'aime mon amour....para Domingo....nuestra canción...pronto la compartiremos unidos de nuestras manos...gracias por hacerme sentir tan feliz a tu lado....besitos mi vida....

  • Lovely woman, beautiful eyes.

Did a lot of charity in her later years. Much missed and still loved. RIP Audrey.

  • cannot stop listening to this <33

    it truly is...grand

audrey is definitely the most beautiful woman ever

  • George Peppard is so gorgeous in this film.

  • Thank you. I'm in wonderful floods. You obviously love this film and the wonderful delicate sweetness that is our Audry as much as I do. Seriously....thanx friend.

  • george peppard from the a team. beautiful film

  • Audrey je t'aime!

  • this song always makes me feel good, in a sad way :')

  • I think the saddest part is when the gentleman incurs the "blueballs" at the end of the movie......

  • love it !!!!! The cat is Fluffy!!!!! i named it verynice

  • Really sad song! And really sad movie but good movie with sad moments but anothers really nice funny! Love it!I remember when they are tealing at the shop!jaja so funny

  • I love everything about Audrey, and this song is so perfect for her vocal range and velvety voice. Marni Nixon may have dubbed some of her Fair Lady songs, but this one is 100% Audrey :D

  • I think the book is better, specially the end, when she is leavinga gain.

I think it is a bit trashy, the end in the movie.

  • True. The movie ending was a bit Stepford ;-)

But the music is hard to beat :)

  • George Peppard looks more like a Mormon preacher than a party guy to me :P

  • It was Marni Nixon, if I remember correctly who dubbed this for Audrey Hepburn. As she did for many of the songs in My Fair Lady.

  • I have seen a documentary film, in which it was said that she has sung it all by herself.Sorry for my english :p

  • <3 shes so classic!

  • wonder if the cat is still alive. hehe.

  • I don't think Cat is still alive. Movie came out in the 60s and sadly....I doubt it.

  • I LOVE AUDREY!!!

  • Ohhhhh...It's so sweet...so beautiful!

    Love that cat!

  • Its interesting to hear other people's views on this film. Audrey was sensational, but I can well imagine Marilyn having made it her own as well. For me though, George Peppard was incredibly mis-cast. And I hate the ending with the cat in the rain. The book is so much better with its sense of loss and what might have been.

If you haven't read it, give it a read now. At most it will only take two hours, and its well worth the effort.

  • ma este az M2 műsorán a film!

  • I love the part we're they're kissing in the rain and Cat is just sandwich in the middle pulling sour faces...Cat rocks!

  • i love this part¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Marilyn certainly wouldn't have made the character the same. Holly seduces rich men and is paid just to go to the ladie's room etc, but at the same time she is such a charming, naïve girl. Played by Marilyn her sexual side would have stood out and it wouldn't have been the same - lots of people love this film because of Audrey's interpretation of Holly Golightly.

  • George Peppard is extremely georgeous...what a beautiful man. who wouldn't wanna make love with such hunk of a man?

  • I wish Marilyn Monroe had played this part. Too bad she was in a downward spiral during these times. The writer had Marilyn Monroe in mind to play this part (I read it somewhere).

It was only fitting since Marilyn did Gentlemen Prefer Blondes 8 years before. In the song of the same title, she did mention sing the line which had "Tifanny" in it.

Marilyn also has a good singing voice. What if... what if... wishful thinking...

Nevertheless, Audrey Hepburn made this a classic. She was awesome!

  • LAST LADY...

  • its great to see after all the years later that today people are fans of these classic movies like me

  • awesome

  • I just love the Cat. Its Beautiful! And so calm and cute and adorable<3 the cat makes me cry at the end.

  • ditto, Cat rocks :)

  • Such a a great song and even greater movie....it is by far my favorite...the ending makes me cry every time.

  • audrey hepburn was a true classic!

  • how classic...

  • Total 100% Babe.

  • I love it,I love it so much.

  • love this movie...and song!! she was soo beautiful and soo talented!!!

  • such talent....beautiful

  • i love how the cat just gets squished :P

  • i love her for ever

    she's so gorgeous

    xxx

  • i wach breakfast at tifffany's everyday, its a habbit, more addicting than smoking!! :p LOL

  • wahnsinn.

  • i love it!!!!!!!!

    great

  • i LOVE THIS MOVIE, AND SONG! <3

  • yes!!!

    great movie and song...

  • It's such an amazing song. Very touching and comforting.

  • I love this film..

  • did you see just at the end they squashed the cat and sadly it died, possibly, dyor.

  • audrey sei unica ed irripetibile...ci manchi tanto!

  • This song always brings tears to my eyes.

  • cette chansson est très belle! Je l'aime bien!

  • this made me cry all over again. and the first time I saw it I was probably about 10, and even now, to me, the most important bottom line is that she found the kitty!

  • Magnifique!!!!

  • Merveilleux!!!

    Magnifique!!!

    Sublime!!!!!

  • where did you get such a kickass quality version of this movie? Mine looks like shit :(

  • Where'd the Audrey Hepburn's of the entertainment world go? Now the world has Britney Spears, JLo, and _________? Jeepers!

  • Entertainment is just a business like any other-they deliver what is demanded/bought...

It is indeed sad that we have so few "real" personalities in showbiz nowadays...this is why i'm always crying when I hear this song,it reminds me of the good old days...

  • turnabuoni, I couldn't have said it better, especially the part about the "so few real personalities", because sadly I don't think there's a one 'today' who could hold a candle to those from the good old days. I'm looking at this video and crying while I'm sending this because as I said on another post, those days will 'never' be repeated again and some people have 'no' idea what they're missing out on. Too much crap and not enough "substance" from what's out there now. Thanks and God bless.

  • ...and even more sadly, is that you are so living in the past that you can only want to repeat it rather than find the "substance" of today and have the best of both... so keep crying old lady, YOU have no idea what you're missing out on.

  • Wow. Mean spirited.

  • I'm tired of older people thinking that they had the only quality "culture". Things just aren't the way they used to be... livin' in the past, and moping about it. And sometimes pulling your head out of your ass is an uncomfortable experience. So I don't mind being the one put it out there, because it's really an act of love, gentle or not.

  • i really, even being from the modern generation, have to agree -- what's in demand today is superficial, but I have to say that (1) they'll never be another audrey hepburn and (2) they'll never be another romantic comedy with a script like this. Nowadays, scripts in romantic comedies are more about the plot and not about the characters, e.g. 50 first dates, Good-luck Chuck.

  • But you have to keep in mind that this movie was made off of a Truman Capote novel -- and today, how many literary geniuses like that are out there? Secondly, I don't know about anyone else, but while I fell in love with Audrey Hepburn's beauty, I fell in love with Holly Golightly the character. Audrey Hepburn embellished the character like no one else could have, but Holly Golightly is one of the most interesting characters I've seen in film.

  • I can only think of two actresses that would come close to playing this role as well as Audrey Hepburn -- (1) charlize theron and (2) natalie portman. Charlize has the elegance, but wouldn't be able to embellish Holly Golightly into the interesting extrovert that Audrey did and Natalie Portman doesn't have the elegance.

We'll never see a film like this again, but it's largely a product of knowing who spends money at the Box Office -- the tweens that are easily subdued into the MTV culture.

  • I'm not criticizing any of the past, I'm only defending the present. And time hasn't told us all of our present legacies... I thought Shakespeare In Love was a great movie, Princess Bride seems to be holding up as a classic... but it seems like many of the people that are responding to my comments say that "today is *crap* because there's this *crappy movie*" but that crappy movie isn't all there is today. check out Amelie, Before Sunrise, Moulin Rouge. They're all great.

  • Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Claire Forlani, Gweneth Paltrow... I love A.H. as much as the next person, she IS an icon... but it's not fair to say all we have today is bubblegum pop stars. And even then Christina Aguilera etc. has real talent, so get your head out of your ass people!

  • cityzenart, if you like those women (as do others) kudo's to you, but just because you disagree with people doesn't mean you have to cuss them out either. I also think Christina is a very good singer (never heard anything by Scar Joha, Jen Con, Cla For, and didn't know that Gweneth sang), but what happened to the saying, "to each his/her own"? I didn't call you out of your name so why do it to me? Freedom of speech or not. Whatever happened to agreeing to disagree?

  • Christina Aguilera is a F*cking whore, has no class what so ever. If you think all these bubblegum pop stars these days are any good then you are the reason why america is going down the toilet.

  • I didn't say she had class, now did I? I was pointing out that even some of the "classless" ones have talent.

  • esta canción me mata es preciosa

  • I lovee Breakfast at Tiffanys :D

    My favortie movie :D

    xo.

  • shit, it's making me cry now

  • the most beautiful woman in the world!

  • it's hard to argue that, i still have to go with Rita Hayworth, but what the hell do i know :)

  • thanks, the song coupled with this movie and audrey never fail to melt me! i remember watching this movie and rewinding over and over again of the scene when audrey was singing the song by her window sill. it's just beautiful.

  • I love this song.amo esta cancion.

  • Audrey d'Amour!

  • I loved this movie so much. Just thinking about makes me wanna cry. It makes me so happy. Life seemed so much simpler back then. Now it's just terrible to get anywhere. I wish I grew up back then and met Ms. Hepburn. That would just make my day grand.

  • not only would that have made my day grand... i think it woul've made my life grand... but i'm sure you were saying that too tho =) she was such an amazing wonderful women... someone to idolize i think...

  • Yes, yes she was.

    :D

    I agree with your opinion.

  • i love the woman who learned me that song...so very much...and i think i will keep on loving her "till all the seas gang dry"...:/

  • love this song and film :)

  • so bezaubernd

  • I love this song......

  • audrey is like an angel to bad im gonna grow old with celebrities like miley cyrus and shit like that

  • I hear ya'

    :D

Miley and others are so disgusting. Audrey was a real talent.

  • love it. classic.

    one of the best ever.

  • They just don't make movies like this anymore :(

  • I love this song and movie, such a classic..

  • the leading man is gorgeous. who is he again?

  • george peppard. im a guy but id have to agree hes damn goodlookin :P

  • George Peppard. :)

He is rather good-looking, isn't he? His eyes are beautiful.

  • just an info: the scriptwriter of this movie originally had Marilyn Monroe in mind to play the part. eventually Audrey Hepburn got it and made it her own signature timeless classic movie.

  • awesome version, love her singing it, i have a cool jazz version without words but both are great

  • beautiful film, song & lady!

    Thx for upload.

  • love the movie love the song n love audrey hepburn..

  • I'm attracted to her. I'm obsessed with her beauty. I love Audrey Hepburn. She was the most beautiful woman that ever lived on earth. She was very charming too.......

  • Undoubtedely you're sure! I love her.

  • I agree. And the reason we and most guys feel that way is because we're tired of the foul mouthed, sullen attitude of today's female. Imagine if all women were as cool as Audrey Hepburn... friendly, smiling, and upbeat... and gracious. And dressing nicely, rather than walking out the door with wet hair and tatoos on their necks / arms / legs.

  • Yeah, that would be nice if more women were like her..

  • Audrey's every move was perfect - like she wasn't even acting, that was just Audrey being herself. There was none like her before and never will be anyone like her after again. We love you Audrey!!

  • He is the best actress in the world,i cant descirbe this pure beautiful voice of her that sound like the birds song in spring.

  • My favourite song of all times..

  • what does 'hackleberry friend' mean?

  • childhood close friend, I guess.

  • great Truman Capote, great Audrey

  • i love this movie, and i love that scene, but i always feel soo bad for the cat because its getting squished during the kiss...

  • Love the movie too. Love cats too. My cat loves getting squished

  • one of the sweetest songs ever. Audrey Hepburn absolutely a classic beauty.

  • Every gal I have dated has had the Audrey Hepburn archetype look in some form or another. But, alas, the real Audrey has gone to the stars.

  • One other thing I should add. I used to think that Audrey was actually singing Moon River but she actually is not. However, she does sing in the movie Funny Face. I actually like how Audrey sings, she has a very attractive singing voice. Check out funny Face sometime, Audrey is still just as classy, just as elegant, and just as beautiful as she was until the day she left us.

  • audrey is singing this. maybe you're thinking of my fair lady.

  • she does sing moon river and she sings in funny face but she does not sing in my fair lady even though she sounds wonderful on the songs (i know this because on the my fair lady special features they have her sing two songs on there and she sounds beautiful)but yes she does sing moon river

  • Who amongst us, that was alive when this song and movie was made, couldn't help but shed a tear or two for the simplistic and wonderful time that was very early sixties. The shots of New York or any big city at that time of the morning is so true. Some cars and people but not over-whelming, and the sun popping through the buildings. I shed tears for those who will never experience that time and feeling. For those who can remember try to practice them simpler times when dreams were endless.

  • You eloquently expressed the emotions that flow as we listen to this beautiful music sung by the iconic star in the fifties and sixties. Those are the days gone by but memories are forever with us.

  • you are so right. It just tugs at your heart.

  • Audrey Hepburn is the most beautiful woman in the world!!

I adore her, I love Breakfast At Tifanny's!!

  • did Audrey Hepburn sing this song?

  • Yup, it was written espically for her limited vocal range.

  • yes

  • Moon River es una de las cansines mas bellas y romanticas que se han hecho para los amantes del genero baladista.

  • She was the most beautiful woman that ever lived on earth.

  • Rest in peace, dear Audrey.

  • Moon River, wider than a mile, I'm crossing you in style some day. Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker, wherever you're going I'm going your way. Two drifters off to see the world. There's such a lot of world to see. We're after the same rainbow's end-- waiting 'round the bend, my huckleberry friend, Moon River and me. I love the song, I adore Audrey...

  • forever a hollywood icon. ...an american classic. Thanks for posting!

  • A british classic ;)

  • yes. ...and an american classic, as well. :-)

  • In the film she was made to be happy... But I've been always wondering if she really was... and if the feeling of total independence wasn't her true receipt for happiness. However, I like this happy end.

I;'m in love eith Audrey's face, voice, she was so charming.

    The most beautiful actress ever.

And one of my favourite songs.

  • Of course first part of my comment is connected with Holly:)

  • You do know that in My Fair Lady Audreys voice was dubed over by Marnie Nixon

  • The executives of Breakfast at Tiffany's wanted to take this song out and she yelled at them

  • She will be missed forever!

  • Audrey is my favorite!
