I luv these ol down under big 3 American type cars and trucks! they were da mid-size of the US models and neat. with six and eight blocks with all da US options power-steering A/C auto's and pos track....just cool
i have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old GM Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
Nice car you have there it looks great. Sounds pretty healthy too. Would you know the weight of the car by chance. Maybe the before & after weight of the heart transplant. I have a 67 barracuda notch back and I would think they would weigh about the same give or take a little bit. One more ? what type of headers are you useing my MOPAR friend. Best, yl
this is why it pays to have a new engine run and tunned on dyno first , it running like a hairy dog, pinging carriing on . . . be sweet when its sorted ,
what a fucking awesome mopar dude it would only take another mopar to outdo that beast man 10 out of 10 for your car man. you just gotta bring it down here to Ocean grove to the valiant brothers garage PLEAAAAAASE o please bring it down here I,ve gotta take a pic of it. kind regard s from BP Ocean grove . fucking luv it. your car I mean.
yeah the dukes charger looks better, but the car itself is twice the size, and twice as heavy...the aussie VH charger on the other hand..monsterous power, short wheel base, light car = hella fun man..the man who designed the aussie charger was tryin to invent a death machine, but he ended up building one of australias fastest race and street cars
no...the aussie charger wasnt actually built for a road car like the american charger...the american charger was built for daytona right? BUT dodge/chrysler always had every intention of making that car a road car to make a profit, when chrysler australia/valiant built the aussie charger it was supposed to be strictly a race car only, untill the saw an opportunity to make money from makin it a production vehicle..so no..a big body isnt necessary, the charger proved that already here
and the fact that the aussie charger is a race car for the road, theres actually more chance of it surviving a wreck than the american charger a lighter car made of strong materials has a more likely chance of have less enertia if in a broad slide or a head on collision, the heaver the car the more force it wil apply to all regions, resulting in mallicious damage unlike you have ever seen..take the ford capri for example..or the escort, u can crash em..n have em driving again in a week
sweet charger mate;) im restoring a vh 265 charger @ the moment, Also for the fellas up top the chargers where in the mad max video just not in the first/ third movie but me and the missus have seen them in the 2nd movie!
Hi, it's running alot better now. It had the wrong ballist resistor thus not enough volts getting too the coil. I have it's first burn out video - almost 3 years from first start. stay tuned!
In Mad Max (1st) movie they used variations of Aussie Mopars. Anytime I see an Aussie Mopar, it reminds me of Mad Max. Several concepts like a '70 Roadrunner Aussie style were never released but were striking, in fact I have a model of one- totally badass!
Say what? can you please tell me when u saw them? all the cop cars are XB XA falcons(ford) and the black pursiut special was a LS monaro coupe'(aussie holden).. the only car i can think of is the chev impala( red /orange 1 that gets chased then totaled.)lOL and also the van was a Mazda bongo and all the bikes where Kawasaki's.
Mybe the mopars where jus non-feature cars( like in the backround) that i didnt c.
Because Max was a car nut. Thats why he would be proud. It has nothing to do with that fucking Interceptor. Max was "unconcious" so to speak, when the interceptor started up. rdeco was merely saying that Max would probably have been in the same state over a car like this. Fuck off cunt.
Nice to see guys from down under who like mopars! Mopar or no car!Btw killer lookn old school car!You guys got some neat rides too.I didnt know that was a ford used in mad max. Still it was bad ass!
"K" frame is from a '81 CL Valiant. The car was oringally a VJ Charger 770 with a 318 in her but my brother bought a Drag Car and pulled the race motor out and slotted in all the other gear with so it was a simple swap over.

big engine small body in wreck that motor will break the motor mount then and the motor will twist the frame this is why the charger has a big body

four hundred and fourty cubic inches of Mopar muscle. Never use liters (Litres) when discussing such motors. ;) it makes em sound smaller.

Hillman265 4 years ago
CL V8 "K" frame and rack and pinion steering from a Torana. The motor just fit in so a set of custom made extractors were made up for it.
