  • all i can say is. i am glad and sad for that Pontiac is gone. sad i will never see a future Firebird or GTO. but glad the fucking japs won't be making it either.

  • Dear America... WTF???? What the hell is going on over there? Where are the 20ft small cars? the 400cui V8's making 200bhp? Mpg so low you need a ph.d in astrophysics to calculate it? Cars that corner like the moon? My boyhood dream of owning a nonsense American car in Europe is ruined now! Shame on you! Go tell GM to stick cars like the Sonic up their arse and bring back the true AMERICAN car!

  • if only that woman (lynn FUCKING meyers) stayed in the kitchen .... pontiac would still be around .. man i ADORE pontiac .. it's a car that you can't kill .... it can live for ever .. and i have lots of memories with it since i was a kid till today ..... you will always be in our hearts PONTIAC

  • r.i.p

  • I know u used music shake but i can not find any info on this tune.

  • @william2240 The original version of my video had 3 songs, and YouTube took it down due to copyright issues. So I did an audio swap a LONG time ago, and now I don't recall which song I used! Yes, it was from the YouTube audio selections. I looked though the video editor and audio swap for this video, and nothing tells me what the name of this song is. If anyone can help, please let me know! Thank you.

  • will you tell me what music this is

  • Im so sad they got rid of Pontiac! My first car was a 91 GP then 98 GA GT then 98 GTP then 05 GXP and will soon purchase a 09 G8 GT! Pontiac For Life!

  • Such a distinctive and unique sounding V8 engine, discontinued in 1981 but still in production in aftermarket...and forever in the hearts of many. Wonder what a '62 SD 421 could have done w/fuel injection and computer control? G8 vs '62 SD 421 Cat anyone?

  • Stupid GM . So sad Pontiac is gone so freaking sad. Genius' at GM make some great decisions.

  • My favourite GM Division lucky to have owned a few in my day, 1965 Strato Chief, 1968 Strato Chief, 1978 Acadian, 1977 Laurentien, 1979 Laurentien and a 1978 Firebird Espirit and my best the 1969 Pontiac Laurentien with the 350

  • If Pontiac had been allowed to let their real enthusiastsrun the company, none of this crap would have happened. At the point where GM pulled the plug on them, the G8 in its last form was selling well. Holden would have been only too happy to keep building it for them. Given the right marketing, and access to Holden's Caprice, they could have been a force to be reckoned with. The Firebird could have been resurrected from the current Camaro, also a Holden R&D project

  • @Mechknight73 I agree big time. You need car enthusiasts who know cars to run the business. Sure, you need money to keep a business running. But whatever good is money if you're not into in cars?

  • Awesome video! It's really too bad Pontiac is no longer in business.

  • anyone know the band that plays this song, thanks

  • Can anyone tell me why GM dropped Pontiac and yet they make GMC and Chev trucks which are the same thing anyway?

  • @neometro27 gmc has different styles and stuff, like the denali version, theyre not all the same, internally yes, but not everything

  • 10/4/11 - OK, who is the wienie that is the one "dislike"?

  • That was a sad day that pontiac was killed off why not buick oh i forgot to many old folks buyen them.Ive had 2 1969 judges a 74 455 HO and a 75 TA and a 79 4 speed TA .LONG LIVE PONTIAC.

  • Great job on the video....i will allways have pontiac in my heart and mind........why the hell they had to mess up something that would have been great....I hate how stupid we are as humans sometimes.

  • I'm gonna miss pontiac.

  • geeze talk about flicking through the 80's.. turbo trans am's, fiero's, banshee concepts, knight rider!

  • Pontiac,My Most Favorite Marque in cars since I drove a 1959 Strato Chief..Now 40 years later ,I own 6 Pontiacs, 1980 Formula,,1981 Formula,,1993 Grand Am,,1996 Grand Am,,1998 Grand Prix GTP(being converted to a V8 Rear wheel drive,,1975 Grand Prix 400 ci,,Firebird front clp,,Firebird disc brake rear end,,1974 formula dash and steering column) and my Driver,,1999 Grand Prix GT,, Cars I,d like to have ,,,,A Can Am,,,1973 4 5 Grand Am,,,,,Pontiacs I,ve had ,69 Grand prix,73 Lemans,81 Lemans

  • These cars were amazing, exciting, powerful, plenty of room, suitable to make the love to a pretty sexy woman...I wish I lived in 70's right now.

  • Great video .Good job

And thanks a lot to Lynn Meyers who killed Pontiac.( Irony ).

  • Wow not hard to see what generation this videos creator was.

Nine minutes of pre 1980 cars and then a rush through the last twenty so years. LOL and not even an image of the most powerful car Pontiac ever had, the G8 GXP. Because you have an obtuse view I give this video two thumbs down.

  • @InfernoZ24 im sure he cares

  • @InfernoZ24 - Since 1981, I special ordered a 1989 Sunbird Turbo, then a 1993 Bonneville, then special ordered a 1996 Formula Convertible (triple black), and I have a 2005 Bonneville GXP. Yes, I do care about the last 20 years of Pontiac :-) I wanted to add more 1980's-1990's NHRA and NASCAR Pontiac footage, just not enough time allowed.

  • @MaccaIsntDead u changed the music, what was the old one called?

  • @MaccaIsntDead

Great video make more. I still drive a 1978 Lemans wagon I purchased new and have a 1987 Firebird Trans Am GTA in storage with only 20,000 miles another I purchased new.

  • I hope the woman with the MBA ends up living on the street in an old Pontiac!

  • I had 3 Pontiacs. 2 Grand Prixs and a 87GT Fiero. I loved all 3 of them. Thanks for the video, it was really great! I don't plan on buying GM vehicles anymore.

  • Great Pontiac tribute! I've owned 3 Pontiacs and loved them all. The sad truth is that Pontiac died back in the late 70's into the early 80's. That's when platform sharing and corporate engine sharing began. All you were buying the last 30 years was the Pontiac name on your car. The only unique Pontaic I can think of in the last 30 years, was the Fiero. I don't plan on buying GM anymore.

  • i own a 98 grand prix gtp supercharged that comes stock 240 hp wen i slam the gas i have a blast RIP!! The Fallen

  • Bought my wife a 68 GTO Convert, RamAirIII,4spd,posi,ran like a scalded cat. Best handling car I ever beat the snot out of, and it kept on asking for more, Had a 421 tripower earlier, ran like the devil was chasing us, see how the MBA number crunchers ruined a perfectly good badge?

  • I never owned a Pontiac but I did own a 77 Olds Cutlass Supreme, and several Chevys and loved all of them.....I now own Fords and love them....I would suggest everyone boycott GM and Chrysler (as well as all imports) because of the gov and unions stealing these one time great companies. Ford did it right and they are making great vehicles now. But I still have a hardon for a '86 Trans Am...that was one of my favorite Pontiacs and I dreamed of owning one since....

  • Dam you GM Dam Buick GMC (Genericly Made Chevys) ! Dam you all to HELL!!!

    GM really Sucks.

Good bye Pontiac. Gone but not forgotten . Its been fun will Miss you. : )

  • they gave us the worlds first muscle car and we repay them by letting GM go bankrupt and forcing them to get rid of pontiac?

  • they gave us the worlds first muscle car and we repay them by letting GM go bankrupt and forcing them to get rid of pontiac? SICK1

  • God why didn't I know about this? I am an all time Ford man and I almost cried when I realized Pontiac was no more.

  • My favorite youtube video ever!

  • Nice video! Watching GM kill off Pontiac is almost sad as when they pulled out of Flint! I am so glad to have one the last Pontiac with one of the last Series III 3800 Supercharged Buick V6. My 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Comp G will be a car to remember. A piece of a heritage of my home state of Michigan and the last of the pride and the power plant from Flint! The New GM sucks...At least FORD isn't as dumb as GM!

  • Love this vid. My favorite cars of all time, all bare the Indian head. Had a 66 Bonneville Convertible with a 421 Ram-Air when I was a teen. To bad GM's inept management destroyed them. Without them, there isn't a snow balls chance in hell that I'll ever buy another GM product. I just can't reward stupidity. I'll look to Ford from here on out.

  • Leave it to little miss MBA , who probably couldn't even change a flat tire, to ruin a great brand. After Pontiac discontinued the Aztek there was a article in one the car magazines saying how the Dealers hid the vans in the back because they were so ugly. Your right MaccalsntDead, "Isn't it a pity" Great job on the tribute, my first car was a 1969 Grand Prix.

  • american cars are horribly made (I mean quality and drive quality and enjoyment). I like the style of pontiac but god knows how bad it is to drive.

  • @kotapaka ....what are you talking about? Try driving a Ford and say that douchebag!

  • what IDIOT decided to end pontiac?

  • @Trevor10 Lynn Meyers : a financial women.

  • @KirovetsGW82 does she drive cars?she`s stupid woman that must stay home wash dishis ,,,, no koking she will make fire in the house ,boooooo boooooo lynn meyers.

  • Pontiac a legend!

  • What was Lynn Meyers doing out of the kitchen?

  • I love the Harrison stuff. Perfect. Great vid too!

  • Good vid! it makes me sad ,at least one i own 1967 gto i well never give it up!I love my PONTIAC!!

  • What a shame.

  • First wife, Carole, says: I've had this picture of George in his "Wynn Engineering" Pontiac for years and years. Good to see he was included in this video. By the way when we were still married he bought Royal Racing Team but didn't tell me :-( I just recently found out.

  • @carolegene64 yeah, like the time he came home with a truck full of mini bikes? that story makes me laugh.... we had fun, right?

  • My dad, George DeLorean 1:54 Wynn Engineering, inventor of Ram Air V. and a few shots of Uncle John too!

  • Excelent job with this tribute. Long live Pontiac - I love the part at 6:40 with the 74 red T/A coming out of the flames. Could you by chance share the photo as this is my exact car? Much thanks :-)

  • Awesome video! Could you by chance share the picture of the Pontiac exhibit @8:35 - my dad's car is a cyclamen metallic formula.

  • There was no mention of the 1980s era "GM Generics" where the Pontiac T-6000 was the same car as the Olds Cutlass and a Buick model--the only thing that gave them their brand identity was the front and rear plastic pieces and the instrument panels. That started killing off the brand loyalty to GM brands. That, and they were very marginal cars.

  • thanks that was a great video oh i was just wandering if you could or no were to get a front bumper emblem for a 67 pontiac parisienne i just cant find one here in Australia just thought ill ask thanks

  • thanks that was a great video oh i was just wandering if you could or no were to get a front bumper emblem for a 67 pontiac parisienne i just cant find one here in Australia just thougt ill ask thanks

  • Awesome job, Dude.

More proof that "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder"!

  • I lusted after the Firebird T/As in the 80's........ and would have died over a Can Am in my driveway............ My Dad worked for Pontiac for 31 years .............. What a shame pontiac is gone..........

  • I have a feeling that the one and only person that clicked that they didnt like this video was the bitch that took over pontiac in 99.

  • makes me want to cry. i love american cars. screw these jap car lovin idiots . i was talkin to someone that owns a jap car the other day, he didnt even know what a hurst or b&m shifter is?? what the hell is wrong with the current generation. well im 29 and have the utmost respect for the classics. if i was going to buy a 10-15K car it would be a classic pontiac or a grand national. oh, and this same guy said a grand national is ugly, WTF

  • @ad356 im 14 and i have the upmost respect for classics, i feel bad for your generation with the k car and those fuckin minivan era, grand national rocks, looking for a 73-76 gto fastback black with red walls, now thats a car to pull up to high school, not those pussy nissan altimas, there all white, beige interier, auto, fuck the imports, except merc,

  • Another great american company, consumed by unions. Farewell to General Motors - good riddance to Government Motors.

  • Wow, there are some great memories in this video. And some not so great memories from the nineties forward,

when Pontiac seemed to have lost their way.

It almost brings a tear to the eye.

I think sometimes of all the great muscle cars from the 60s I saw go down

that assembly line, at around $3000 a pop, and what some are worth now.

It was great that I could be a part of Pontiacs place in

automotive history at Pontiac Motor Div. from 1963 to 2006.

  • The G8 was a sexy car.... Why is it omitted? Because its a holden?

  • @matt5112 No. It was a great car but its name was a big mistake. They should've called it Grand Prix and everyone would be happy.

  • @matt5112 yes

  • everyone says foreign cars are built by Americans but guess what

there headquarters are in japan Germany etc meaning they are still a a foreign CAR company so Do NOT fool yourself that you are doing the right thing for the usa besides you guys might not do quality work at your job and you think all americans have your work habits but the guys at gm and ford and chyrs are giving it their all

  • I am going to miss Pontiac. They killed my baby!!!

  • @skyblue375 Sad, SAD day. I am in shock still. Most of my GM fave's are gone Oldsmobile. Had a Ninety-Eight and a Cutlass. My Trans-Am, What next my Buick??

  • @daviddpb75 actually, if the new regal doesnt work, u will lose buick too

  • Keep buying those foreign cars, for every one U.S. auto worker that loses their job so do 5 other people in various auto production, development and design areas. My Dad was an engineer for over 31 years with GM and the only way he could find a job when he left there was to go and work in a 3rd world country. Thanks again to all you morons who continually buy foreign cars. My Mom thought she and my Dad wouldn't have to be apart again once he returned from Vietnam. You've spit on him twice now...

  • Cool Video. Great Job.

  • no more........:-(

  • The world of plastic cladding will never be the same.

    RIP Pontiac 1926-2010

    Pontiac was car.

  • too bad the GTO was a planned 3 year limited production stint. not like they killed it in 06 due to lack of sales. ALWAYS the classic pontiac guys hating the new GTO

  • Miss you Pontiac!

Very good video, though it would have been nice to see some of the newer Pontiacs that did do a decent job towards the end of the company, such as the G6 and the G8.

  • Thanx for the tribute, Mike...RIP Pontiac!

  • RIP , great vid

  • GM should have kept. at least, the G8; it is/was a great vehicle.

  • Awesome awesome awesome awesome awesome video.

Why the hell doesn't some billionaire car enthusiast just buy the Pontiac name, build a factory and put the cars back into production. Start with three nameplates, Grand Am, Grand Prix and Firebird then go from there.

I know you're out there somewhere so get up off your ass and get it done!

  • A great video and a wonderful walk through of Pontiac's excellent history. I really do think it was a mistake for GM to kill off the Pontiac division...what could possibly pick up the "performance market" that Pontiac had?

  • Demaio, NOT EVERYTHING IS BUSH"S FAULT! Simpleton PoC... The downturn of Pontiac began when the car guys were sent away, starting with DeLorean's departure to Chevrolet in 1969. The talent-free management of the division killed it, 'Bush's war' had nothing at all to do with it!... doofus! :-(

ACDrock, the dealership was owned by a family names Gay, in Texas. Don Gay was a famous drag racer in the 60s. History did not begin in 1980.

  • That was so sad. I rtemember that Pontiac was Oakland before it became Pontiac.I owned a Pontiac dealership from 1957 to 1974. Cars were selling for about $2500.

  • omg what year and model is the one at 2:55 with the girl standing in front of it?????

    looks amazing!

  • @yeedoh

    It's a 67 Bonneville

  • @yeedoh I'd guess it to be 65-69 Bonneville..or maybe a 65 2+2..hard to tell..it looks to have been messed with..photo wise..and the girl is whats called..eye candy...

  • What a sad ending . Bush really ruined this country with his war

  • did anybody notice the car at 129 says gay pontiac on it? its probablly referring to the meaning of being happy. necause anybody who drives a pontiac is sure as hell not gay.

  • whats the name of the second song?

  • @tsw44 "What Is Life" by George Harrison, 1970 solo album, 'All Things Must Pass'

  • I still have my 96 GP "Poncho" in the driveway. Really bums me out to see Pontiac going away. Put someone in charge of a great company with no experience to technical know-how and watch it all disappear. The great Pontiac legend has died because of one person. How sad. They should never ever stopped production of the Grand Am, Grand Prix, Firebird Trans Am, Bonneville, Tempest, GTO and the rest that epitimized Americana at its best. Repacing it all with numbers and exports killed the Co.

  • Thanx for the flashback....my mom and dad bought our 64 Grand Prix at Milner Pontiac, though it just showed for a blurb, it brings back old memories.

  • stop buying that asian toyota, kia, hyundai crap and buy american !! if i had the money i would stop GM from thrashing Pontiac,Oldsmobile,Plymouth etc. man i remember those days when i was a kid and GTO'S ran on the road with their awesome v8's and made and iconic sound pontiac may not be making cars anymore but it is still alive and running in my heart

  • @AGAMBEAR the government schuda made the cash 4 clunkers only good if you buy a new car from the big 3.

  • I currently own (and drive) 73 Trans Am w455, TH400, 75 Formula w350, TH350, 81 Turbo Trans Am w455(out 0f a 73 Grandville), TH350, 95 Trans Am wLT1 automatic, 2001 Grand Prix GTP w3.8 Supercharged. I just replaced the engine in the GTP with 215,000 miles on it (spun rod bearing). Car still looks, drives and runs like new! Hang on to your Pontiacs!!!! And quit buying this import crap!

Just Google Carolina_29053 and check out my garage on Motortopia!

  • i wish i lived during those times where i could buy a brand new pontiac for less then 10 grand but i love my 95 t/a and never giving it up

  • Great video ! The music selection is spot on. A great tribute to the best G.M. / America had to offer. Enjoyed watching , thanks for posting !

  • they did it! they really did it! those fulls!

  • What i wouldnt of gived to live through the good old days.

  • If I had a dollar, tell you what i'd do, go downtown buy a pontiac or two...........

  • @v8foad Couldnt have said it better my friend.

  • dude, thank you so much for the video. this isn't really my style of music but, i love pontiac!

  • Man why do they have to kill of Pontiac? I love my 1987 Trans AM GTA

  • @BlackTransAmdude Obama did it. look it up

  • Loved my 1971 bonneville with 455 cid, 385 horses, dual exausts, resonators, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Used to drive up and down Lake Shore Drive ( Chicago ) with the girls and have a ball.

  • That was cool, I saw all of the old advertisements that I've probably ever seen and some new ones.. like the blue formula rolling up on the cam. The end is a sign of the times. If a guy out of school could get a 9 to 5 and buy a new bird they would still be around. Nice video all in all.

  • Have owned a '55 Chieftain, '57 Super Chief, '60 Ventura, '67 Bonneville, '68 GTO,'72 Lemans, '85 Sunbird Turbo, '90 Sunbird Turbo GT and a '99 Grand Prix supercharged GTP. Experienced a few problems with the '85 Sunbird but loved them all. Will miss you Pontiac and will never purchase another GM automobile.

  • Oh well, at least we still have all the great classics they put out.

  • The best cars we ever owned was a '73 LeMans. Bought it in '74 with 21,000 miles on it for $2,100. Sold it 3 years later with 74,000 miles for $1,500. Never gave a moments trouble. The worst car we ever owned was a '99 Bonneville. Bought it new for $26,000. What a piece of junk it was! Had to lemon law it in the first year of ownership. My wife was in an accident caused by mechanical defect known to P.M.D. With the voucher we bought a '00 Bonneville which was all new-much better car!

  • Pontiac was sick in the late 1960s and 1970s and early 80s they screwed up in 1982 and so on

  • Gotta love pontiacs!!

  • A world without pontiac. Let be serious though. Is pontiac just now leaving us? In my view Pontiac ceased to exist in 1981 when the last pontiac rolled off the assembly line with a real pontiac engine. Pontiac went to all the GM coporate motors. No individuality since 1981. Harley Earl once said of GM, "Share ideals and technology but keep General Motors seperate". Meaning, a Pontiac was a Pontiac not a rebadged Chevy. Cavalier>Sunbird-> Firenza->Skyhawk->Cimarron...this is the death of Pontiac

  • @mindeloman how true yes the downslide of pontiac started in around 1981 they jumped ship and gave it to the first mate !

  • pontiac, truely GM best!

  • I miss Pontiac, G.M. you are truly a crew of idiots!!!!!!

     R..P. Pontiac.

  • @Comrick317 agreed. my first car was a 1989 Pontiac Bonnie, loved that car. wanted to buy a 2009 G8 GXP. so unfortunate.

  • i cry in mi heart i hope stil pontiac be back feels strange

  • A last hurray and farewell to Pontiac! We'll miss you! up to the automotive heaven and written down in history along with other awesome brands like Oldsmobile, Plymouth, AMC and soon Mercury.

  • I love my mighty '77 Firebird w/400ci engine, and my '89 Firebird with a lowly 305.

    R.I.P.

  • Great video ,in 79/80 if you had a black trans am you were it ,if you had Sally Field w you like Burt Reynolds you were the luckiest guy in the world. My 68 Bonne conv w/ Hide-a-way headlights gets a lot of praise & thumbs up when I'm cruisin. Long live Pontiac!!!!

  • im 18 and i will never part with my 95 trans am the other people my age can shove their imported bullshit where the sun doesnt sun ill take my late model pontiac thank you

  • R.I.P. Pontiac!!! You will be missed!!! GMC should go and Pontiac should stay! I love my grand am!!! I always will I've owned 2 grand ams and that has to be by far the best car i've ever owned!

  • no one will ever forget what performance and luxury Pontiac brought to the world, and breaking the cookie cutter from GM, one day i hope to see Pontiac as a niche GM brand with only performance cars, GTO, Firebird, G8, why would GM can a company when in it's last few years sold more cars than Chevy and Buick, yet they keep GMC which is just a re-badged Chevy truck

  • Pontiac had to build better cars, that's it. In 60's they produced really nice autos which were liked by the young people who sticked to brand when they were becoming older. But in 70's GM forgot that car is not only a metal box with engine and four wheels and its new sport model started to get worse and worse. Eventually it resulted in that for modern teenagers word sport is associated with Mitsubishi, Subaru, Nissan, BMW, whatever, but not Pontiac.

  • Thank you for the wonderful memories. A most beautiful tribute!

  • It's sad that were killing all of our American cars.. now we have all this 'Saturn and kia shit.....very very sad... and btw I think Edsel was BEAUTIFUL!!

  • @GeekUltra Saturn is gone, and it was GM (American) Atleast we still have GM! Chevy buick cadillac and gmc! I dont get why we need GMC, it makes trucks thats it. Chevy makes the same things! Why not stop making GMC and start making Pontiac again! I LOVE PONTIAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why the hell would they get rid of Pontiac over Buick or Cadillac..... Its a joke..you see so many pontiacs on the road....this is a joke...im glad i got my 89 grand pre

  • why the hell would they get rid of Pontiac over Buick or Cadillac..... Its a joke..you see so many pontiacs on the road....this is a joke...im glad i got my 89 grand pre

  • I still want a 2010 Trans Am. Camaro is not the same.

  • I am a Ford guy and I do not want to see Pontiac go. Its political control, I doubt there is one Pontiac gear head that is for the dismissal of this and only way to keep it is to demand it, oh wait.... American Idol is on got to go.

  • I am a Ford guy and I do not want to see Pontiac go. Its political control, I doubt there is one Pontiac gear head that is for the dismissal of this and only way to keep it is to demand it, oh wait.... American Idol is on got to go.

  • i cant believe that GM is keeping GMC which is the same fucking thing as Chevy if any they should get rid of Cadillac those overpriced refrigerators are ugly as cat shit and not helping the economy at all this is coming from a trans am owner

    R.I.P PONTIAC (AN AMERICAN LEGEND)

  • I'd like to thank the author of this video. It has captured almost everything in Pontiac's history and became an inspiration for hundreds of thousands of people. This person has sparked one of the greatest automotive upheavals the world has ever seen. We will take back Pontiac soon. And with the new Trans Am and the G8 ST being built in Australia, our legend continues to grow to other parts of the world.

  • I <3 my 87 and 88 fastback GT Fieros. Everyday I can't decide which one I want to drive and I typically choose them over my Acura TL. Good video.

  • I actually had a tear in my eye.

    RIP Pontiac!

  • Lynn Meyers first fucked up Pontiac, then murdered the company. On whos orders ?

What were their real motives in killing P ? Another nail in the coffin in the establishments grand plan to pull the financial carpet from underneath the middle classes ?

  • It does suck. I'm 19, but due to the history and the styling and cars of Pontiac, I have actually labeled them my favorite company. It sucks knowing they will not make any cars any more. I personally think GM should have dug back in their roots and been like "What are we doing to this iconic company?" Personally, my belief is that they should have cut models down to the Grand Prix with G8 being a seperate car, brought back the Firebird, GTO and perhaps get a more rooted design, and the Solstice

  • @TheJayNei I limited it to these 5 cars because I feel Pontiac could have been a strictly performance division of GM. Hence why I left out the idea of bringing back the beautiful luxury based Bonneville.

    Pontiac R.I.P.

  • i was pissed when olds went now pontiac! gm is killing their roots fuck saturn , hummer and saab they should keep the good ol companies that started them

  • Stupid faggots have to kill off a good american icon. Now I cant buy a brand new Pontiac in the future.

  • @EvilViolator124 GM has officially destroyed any hope of them resurrecting a Camaro based Firebird / Trans Am. And I was willing to trade in my '05 Grand Am for it which I love by the way even though it's blue book value is very dissapointing.

  • We will never forget Pontiac...the performance and style of the GTO; the Firebird and the Grand Prix, the sixties coke-bottle shaped Bonnevilles and Catalinas, the clamshell Grand Safari...thank you for making this clip

  • its amazing that one bitch fucked up and killed the best car company in the world, i hope they bring pontiac back some day with all the original cars like the GTO, Grand Prix,Grand Am, bonneville, fire bird ect. that would be sweet

  • i would say the Aztek was way uglier and more horrible than the Edsel ever was, also Edsel was sabotaged from with in, just look up Robert Strange McNamara, he shot down and sabotaged many cars at Ford, he was also responsible for the growth of the T-Bird in 1958, he thought a 2 seater was dumb, also design wise the Edsel came from a era of extremes, now the Aztek had no excuse for its styling, and that is one of the reasons the Aztek flopped, who even designed the Aztek?

  • I miss Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Plymouth. It's sad what a single person can do to one of the greatest companies ever.

  • Excellent video. And yes, the Aztek was dog ugly, but it was an attempt to lure younger types into the dealership. The original concept 'Tek was a good design, and it's baffling how it all went wrong between show and assembly line. Aside from the styling, the vehicle had plenty going for it, and most car mags of the time spoke of it. it was just badly styled and over priced. Pontiac knew it had to step out from behind Chevy, and the dropping of "old" names was a start. Just, too little, too late

  • I love how Pontiac was the first car company to have the red in cabin lights, and be different from all the other car companies. The Aztek, was ugly, but for some reason I liked it too. Oldsmobile was also a great car company, I don't know why they fazed that out, and Plymouth I heard was one of the best car companies in the world, and then it died in the 1980s and 1990s with rebadging of all its vehicles, but went out with a bang with the stylish Prowler in 2001. RIP Saturn, Plymouth, and all.

  • i had a 1975 lemans sport coupe, hunter green with louvred rear side windows. 350 2bbl orange block, got it when i was 19. wish i had that ol' girl back. alas!

  • This video underrated, it should have more views! One of my favorites!

  • Almost brought a tear to my eye. Between this and watching "Marley and Me" Today, I am kinda depressed. Great job on the Video!

  • very nice, enjoyed it alot. i miss my ol' pontiac

  • pontiac was the best. better than the overplayed chevy.

  • Not a bad tribute at all. I remember reading a mag and saw that guy hugging the last V8. Hope it was the 301. My favorite Pontiac would be a 69 GP,SJ with a 428/4spd 390hp or a 61 Ventura with late year 421/4sp option.

  • People will never forget the GTO

  • there would still be pontiac if gm and others made better cars in the first place instead of cutting corners to save a buck. I buy toyota and my entire familly is army and ive lost familly for America. I cant continue to buy garbage just because you say its patriotic, you have to meet me halfway and build a decent car. the cars in this vid were great cars but what 1999 or newer pontiac is built well and everywhere like a camry is? I know people on this post will disagree but America has spoken.
