Wouldn't this just leave a layer of ice on the roof? Is that any less dangerous than leaving the snow? I mean I'm sure the snow would be heavier, but...I don't know. Just wondering.
@ravenssilence If it freezes to the roof the thin layer of ice would be better that all that snow. Weight-wise, plus the thin ice will melt at the first opportunity. Snow can take forever
@smith45acp After watching this I started looking into why it's bad to have snow on the roof, I always thought it was just the weight, but I get why not having snow on the roof is important (at least that thick). Thanks though!

it's a steel roof, put a heater in there and warm up the metal roof and have the snow melt off.. That stuff would have just slid off after about an hour with heat in there.
