@SpecTechHD Theres numerous YouTube apps that work very well. Flash for mobile has been discontinued so there is no point for them to support it. The iPhone does well without it, and i know a good bit of android users have flash set to on demand or off, as I do on my backup android phone. Its great for videos but not great for all the flash ads that kill the browsing experience, HTML5 works very well on WP7 for websites that support it. If flash is a must, then I would reccomend an android phone
I have to reply again now: The response on the Focus S is actually better than the Titan. Try this: do a rapid up and down motion on the homescreen with your thumb. Like, flick it up and down quickly like if you were a DJ spinning a record. The Titan has a looser scroll to it than the Focus S, which has a much tighter feel to it. MTR your bias is showing.
Are you kidding me? The Titan wins with it's screen? I have both phones sitting here in front of me and no way in hell does the Titan win. The blacks are nowhere near as deep as the Focus S' and the homescreen tiles have ghosting issues when you scroll. Not only that but the colors are incredibly more vivid on the Focus S. It honestly isn't even a comparison.
Why does everyone always complain that the Samsung phones are plasticky? iPhone 3/3G are plastic, no one ever complained about them. Pretty much ALL the phones previous to the iPhone were sturdy & durable plastics. I've had 3 different Sams, recently the gNex, and haven't noticed any quality problems w/the plastic. How many times do we really take off the back anyway? HTC for all their build quality isn't outselling Samsung. They actually dipped as of recent. Great phones, but I'm just sayin.
@TheFashizy I actually like plastic, its durable =) I've dropped my original focus onto the concrete so many times and it escaped each with either no visible marks or a few scuffs, and the gorilla glass held up even better. Some of their phones seem indestructible. I had an HTC Aria and dropped it once and the screen shattered. I've had Samsung ever since.
I don't know how you could possibly justify the HTC titan as having a better screen. The super amoled plus is the best screen on the market. Its viewing angle and ability to work well in bright surroundings instantly put it above the led screen of the titan. When awarding HTC a win for design you failed to mention that the focus s is thinner. You failed to mention the apps built in on the focus s only. But yeah, lets get the titan it says "look at me... I am super dooper high quality"
@bellajacklil Adobe already announced they will be discontinuing Flash support on the mobile platform as they will be focusing on developing HTML5 and a larger toolbox for HTML5. yay for less plug-ins.
Lisa, I love your reviews! i tried the TITAN and the Focus S and i really do like the TITAN better. I'm dying to buy one so I can finally replace my aging HD2 which is a pain the a**. the size of the HD2 compared to the TITAN is fairly the same with exception of being a mm higher than the HD2. Oh, and one more thing, if you thought that text would look jagged cause of its resolution, it does not cause i zoomed in on a site and the text was crisp and the colors are amazing
I tried both and had to return the Titan because it's speaker phone was unuseable. My listeners could hardly hear me. About 30% of the time, when not on speaker phone, listeners were asking me to repeat myself stating that the volumne was going between loud and soft or that the pitch or tone of my voice went from normal to a sound hard to listen to. This occured on two Titans, expecially when I was in a vehile or loud store. Seems like microphone problems but HTC denies any awareness of it.
You have made a lot of people happy with this comparison including myself. I was waiting for this comparison since I plan on making my next phone a WP7 phone.
@david8566i Not much, as of yet. The Focus S can tap into AT&T's HSPA+ (not LTE) network, and the Titan has internet sharing, I believe. Also, the Focus S comes with a 1650 mAh battery and the Titan a simple 1500 mAh, although I'm not sure. Also, the Focus S is reportedly faster. Hope that helped!

@jbrandonf Honestly, both are great phones! There is reason that the Titan is AT&T's top selling phone in Q4.
