Nice video--interesting comments.! She has a good stage presence, but she was a little off on the music--maybe the video? No belly button means poor camera or she's wearing a body stocking. Egyptian and Turkish generally wear shoes in cabaret shows.

A baladi? No. Drum solos are sets of 4 bars of a rhythm. Usually ayoub, maqsoum, some chiftetelli and malfouf. It varies by the drummer.

Seems like each belly dancer has her own flair and style. Some move very sensually, others more technically. This dancer is great at rolling her stomach and she looks very shapely from behind. It's more fun just to watch them and appreciate each one for the art and personality she brings to it. :) I really need to pick up this hobby. I would be so hot (or not). lolol

The entire drum solo sounds the same. She looks like she's trying to copy Sadie's moves, but this girl is too technical and rigid. I do not see any heart or drama in her dancing, and bellydancing should have at least one (if not both).

Have you heard this drum solo on cd? if not, then that is just how it sounds. She and Sadie are both about definition of movements, but she is not trying to copy her, rachel has been dancing for quite sometime, and has been moving the same. Before you say she has no heart, then look at her other video, she has on black (or dark colors), let meknow what you think. =)

and btw, she HAS to move her feet in tiny steps so it doesn't interfere w/ ther hips.

She is good,she has the technique and nice movements but theres something missing.I think it would look more live if she could use little bit more of her waist and her hips cause it looks a bit stiff eventhough she has nice movements.I dont watch and complain, think its easy from outside.I have a clue of what belly dancing is about cause I can dance belly dance since I grew up with this culture.But in the end,she is not bad at all.
