Ok now that gets me excited, I have a 1972 duster 360 4spd that i have had for 22 years. runs good but just your typical 10.25 comp 484 cam. I have been considering a 440 turbo or 360 turbo. could use a little advice if you have the time.
I have noticed that the fastest disters are always purple, and the fastest challengers are always orange, and the fastest chargers are always black hahaha
man this duster is way badder than mines' but the thing has too much gear in it. it needs either a 390:1 or a 355:1 if 8&3/4 or a 354:1 if runnin the dana 60. that is a 7sec. car if he did that. its peggin at roughly 7k.
It only has 3.55 gears in the rear. It is actually blowing through the converter and hitting the chip on the big end. Tuning update it went 8.35 letting off at the 1000ft mark this weekend at The Shakedown at E-Town.
indeed it does, sounds like it's an intended 1/8 mile runs. If it was mine, i'd put in a lower (numerically lower) gear in to use that extra bit of track, it may slow him down a little bit off the line but its a twin turbo anyway so lag is expected to a degree.
