@amplitudedude77 Vintage blues wind - clean - not dirty - the cleaner the brighter ! The Limba is warm - Maple is bright but - the Brazilian rosewood fingerboard keeps it sweet in the mids !
@TheSAJ11 ha ha ! The 25th is if you want to play pentatonic licks in the key of D ! Most songs are not in c sharp so your last fret is not a minor third if your in D which a lot of blues tunes are played not in c sharp so if you have 25 frets you get the d pentatonic licks which are gonna get used more in your soloing then c sharp - you know what I'm saying ?!
Hey Johnny... the one piece guitar is a long time in coming. Thanks for the inspiration and the hard work. You are an innovator! here's a link to my meager attempt with some handtools and some douglas fir 2x4's glued together and cut out as a 'one piece'. Look for 'One Piece Guitar' that's my youtube channel.
@amplitudedude77 Ha ha ! it's a fender practice amp with different amp modeling - it's 5 watts and the camera is right in front of it ! the amp was 235 dollars brand new @ foxes music in fairfax VA . it is set on the blackface fender setting - I think . There is also a british marshall stack setting which sounds rocking too 4 a little practice amp . I have it very clean not very much gain so you can hear the tone of the instrument ,
@xxfroobxx You know it was experimental in one sense - the semi hollow rout and the pickups were unknown - tone wise . lindy Fralins split blade pickups were a guess and the chambering - I never chambered a guitar before this one and wow ! Amazing just what the Dr. ordered - Great ! Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard just adds the sweet top end especially past the 7th fret 700 Hz to about 2 k just right !
i know it would go a lot faster, thats why i have to hang out with you. i may be able to play a lot, but dont forget, you basically taught me how to play....
@jdeasel I been playing this song since way back when it first came out ?!?! I Still play it and it still offers me challenges - I didnt even warm up to play it - I should do a demo of how to warm up to play these type of leads and flat picking stuff ?! I just wanted to demo this awesome strat because it so awesome ! I will do abetter one and warm up for 15 minutes so I aint sloppy !
@jdeasel Ok the first note is B then octave B on the linear slide all the way up the neck 3rd not is A 4th G 5th F# ........ you know this would go a lot faster if you just scheduled some lessons ?!?!

@LordOfThisWorld74 Lots of folks were asking about this guitar and it's been finished for about a year now but no videos - my bad ? It really sounds fantastic and I like how it's a strat but the mid range is sweet - thanks to the Limba wood !
