  • only method that should be used this way is with ALCOHOL not cleanser... plus cleanser leaves a residue on your brushes... nasty!

  • Hmmmm this...video is okay..but won't the make up cleaner surely just remove the make up????...not bateria and germs???..unless its antibacterial???...because the second any tool touches your face it picks up bateria...yeah you've removed the make up but the bacteria will still in in them breeding until..your next use....your whenever you deep clean them next :S

  • She's a lefty YAY!

  • No. Just no.

  • okay.. so you use a make up cleaner to sharpen your pencils?

  • i wanna give her a shower then love her n tickle her with the powder brush/

  • why is she sharpening her pencils for a brush tutorial?

  • for a beauty specialist her hair are pretty dirty!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Dirty

  • Wow, those aren't clean at all.

  • These only help if you ahve all the oil and crap to put on your face

  • Epic fail.enough said.

  • this um fails

  • yikes!

  • How can you get cuts from an uncleaned brush?

  • @DolphinBello I laughed at that soo loud!!!

  • Dufus

  • Well in the end she put her brush in her clean cleaner and now it's going to be full of bacteria. Whatever...

  • i know a better way to clean makeup brushes. watch michellephan's latest video to find out how.

  • Don't listen to this girl!! She is doing it all wrong...what a fool!!

  • HAHAHA. that was entertaining to watch. if any "pro" ever put a brush on my face which they cleaned using THIS method, i'd probably shoot them. LMAO.

  • @TotalMakeupJunkie101 LOL me too!

  • Hayley, it's best to use a different section of the towel for each brush. Also, rinse the brushes afterward. When you rinse, you rinse away the bacteria and sebum oils as well as rinse away the chemicals that are in the brush cleaner. Who want that stuff on their face?

  • In between brush washings, you can use makeup remover wipes. As far as the pencil sharpeners are concerned, you CAN use school pencil sharpeners if they're new, but over time, they will damage your makeup pencils, so replace those school sharpeners periodically. If you freeze your pencils before sharpening, they'll sharpen to a fine point without damage.

    ~~GTL2010~~

  • Wow, you obviously dont know anything about heathy skin. Did you take science in school you dumb ass? There is so much bacteria and shit on there! what the hell are you thinking?

  • bad.

  • maybe if she had more than a sample size jar of brush cleaner she could have actually done a decent job!!!!

  • FAIL!!!!!!!!!! she is going to infect her face with all the bacteria left on those brushes

  • You should put the brush cleanser in a bottle sprayer and spray the solution on the brush bristles and THEN wipe the bristles gently onto either a towel or paper towel. But make sure each brush has a clean part of the material you are wiping it on.

But this method should be used after washing the brushes with gentle baby shampoo.

  • Sorry, I mean this does not clean

  • Yeahhhh I agree this does seem the brushes get clean, yucky

  • I love the comments mocking this video. Brush cleaning FAIL. lol.

  • How does she clean her dunce cap? Somehow soaking a towel in solution and then rolling brushes around in makeup filth doesn't seem effective.

  • I did not know you "sterilize" pencils just by sharpening them. XD Pffttt.

Honestly, if she's a "licensed cosmetologist" I'll eat my pants.

  • hahahaha this is such an idiotic video. i love how she just dipped in the small brush into the the cleaner in the end, and hardly bothered cleaning the big powder brush.

  • erhhhhhh putting the brushes in your mouth would have made it cleaner than dipping it onto tissue! erhhhhh and this is expert stuff? yeh right, the dog shelter could do better!

  • i think its hilarious that she added more cleaner for the really small brush which was the last one

    but not the giant one

  • aweful! this is crap!

  • Such crap! They do not get really clean like that!

  • haha srry but its not bad to use a regular pencil sharpener on ur eyeliner pencils...i do it all the time!!

  • *speechless* smh...

  • Cleaning makeup brushes isn't that difficult, but i have to believe this is an insufficient way of doing it. Not enough effort made. Too fast, too sloppy.

  • Makeupgeek has a better video on this

  • Licensed cosmetologist.. Yea, right.

  • my thoughts exactly lol

  • wow.

  • that girl is crazy cleaning her brushes that way, she just kept swirling the makeup in one spot.

  • 0.0 wtf is that supposed to be?!? Is she crazy? Those brushes were cleaner BEFORE the whole "cleaning" thinghie XD NOW they're dirty xD

  • LMAO...I got to agree with you on that!!!

  • Agreed! Those poor battered brushes- being swirled in the same dirt spot on that towel.. yuck! Someone needs to write her up, that's just nasty technique.

  • Yes, I bet that is REALLY sterile?!! Hahaha, OMG! The brushes don't get cleaned by dipping them into the towel one after the other. Expertvillage is crap...CRAP!

  • hahaha---I don't know very much about makeup and I saw this I was thinking.."Um..wtf?" Then I look down at the comments..hmm O_o

  • Why ohh why did you dip the last brush into the makeup remover bottle!!??

  • licensed cosmetologist? lmao

  • ...You put a dirty brush into right into your cleanser! Those brushes are still very much packed with makeup and germs. Wow. Horrible tutorial!

  • @AshleyTatton I have to say I agree. Each brush should be cleaned on it's own, not all dipped into the same amount of brush cleanser. You're just creating a pile of makeup dirt and germs and putting all your brushes in it. They will not be fully clean at all.

  • i forgot to add that i do think this is a good quick way to clean them in between the sink cleaning.

  • if u took those (just cleaned) brushes and actually washed them in the sink, a ton of makeup would come out of them. i wash mine with face cleanser in the sink, works for me!

  • OMG!! Where is ENKORE when you need him! I'm no make-up artist but when doing tutorials please ATTEMPT to use proper technique! That was not a very good one expertvillage!!

  • your not suppose to put the the powder cleaning on your towl because that is was the profeshinal said people this days like oMg=) lol !!@#

  • Wow.. that may be good if you're actually working in a department store/makeup shop/whateverplace and it's busy and you have to quickly and half-heartedly clean your brushes because of different customers, but that is not a good method to actually deep-clean them at all... rubbing dirty brushes on top of dirty cleaning solution that soaked up in a paper towel, there's still skin flakes stucks in them haha.....................

  • If that is how you clean your brushes...you couldn't pay me enough to let you anywhere near my face.

  • yeah that's right NitroxyJenn!!

    and iek!!*^&%$#$

she put the last brush straight into the bottle make-up cleaner!!!

  • omg! someone show this girl how to clean out her brushes! :O

  • wow youre going about this all the wrong way.
