the Jewish National Home should have been founded on the 23% of the entire territory left that constituted former Palestine.

Sorry...the few Arab ruins in Israel are of recent origin and few in number. If Arab terrorism would cease and Arab nations would stop threatening Israel there would be no need for checkpoints. Israel has occupied the WB and endorsed & facilitated settlement activity for 40 years. There is no 'palestine' to liberate anymore, as this territory is now chopped up into segments and sections.
A one-state solution, whereby all citzens enjoy full civil rights within a democratic society, is the only way forward.

Not really. Israel offered to give the WB and Gaza to back to Jordan and Egypt right after the Six Day War in 1967. But the Arab league responded with the infamous 3 NOs of Khartoum (look it up...):
NO to recognize Israel right to exsist.
NO to negotiations with Israel.
NO to peace with Israel.
That's the reasons for the settlements. But as we know from history, For peace, Israel dismentaled whole cities and communities - in Sinai and, more recently, in Gaza and the WB.
