This whole album is tight, KIngdom Music yah! I love it! I hope people who never listened to gospel before will get this and be hooked. Good job Truth! To God be the Glory!!!
I BOUGHT THIS ALBUM AND ITS FIREEEE. DA TRUTH IS DA TRUTH MAN GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT. haha the album is playing right now in the background and dear lord Jesus my spirit is moved
The eating from the tree and what he did nest? what he did a-next, he did next. Each faction a sequence, evnif not till later did he see ram-mythi-say-shuns. B'reign B'rinked stealth notions to nations to notions...A Gain.
Absolutely Amazing!! Can't wait to get this one. I'm not a true fan of hip hop gospel, but man Da'Truth is changing my game. Just off the chain! Each round goes higher and man you are doing it!!!!! Amist the haters, man keep on rising.
Truth has not put out a bad project yet. I am not a "rap" fan, but I am hooked on this man of God's ministry. As far as how "pop" it sounds I would only say get past the music and flow with the message. This brother is anointed to do what he does. Truth...Stay on the wall...You're doing a good work!
personally i always thought Da truth was only aight but dude REALLY sounds like he uped it lyrically so this is the 1st da truth album that im geeked bout n im coppin this 1
Oh boy oh boy, he switched it up WAY TOO MUCH!!! First three albums were shablaingers it was a little cool how he put gospel music in open book but this is more pop than hip hop, I miss the old truth man this sounds too much like Kirk and gospel singers which is great and all but i mean dag, The Faith was crazy, I been listening to it since I first bought it and Open Book is a must have but this album, oh man, i am truly DISSAPOINTED, I support da truth but I aint buying this album at all.
@ResurrectedProdigal Let me start by saying that I love Da truth and thank God for the tremendous contribution he has made to the Kingdom of God.I thought this was a good album but I do agree with you. I have all four of his albums including this one and I personally prefer his earlier albums. In his first album "Moment of Truth"and his second project "The faith" he had other dope rappers like Ambassador, J-Silas,Flame, Lecrae, and I feel that this CD"The big picture" is missing those guys.
okay party people..beats r great and all but the words r just as important. A hot beat with no real lyrics is a wasted beat. Whats the point of having a bangin beat if u can't hear what is said which is a big issue in secular music 2day. Faith comes by hearing the Word of GOD. A beat doesn't build your faith..words do.
Yeah in response to mbanandi the sound is just what the youth in this generation need because when you come to Christ it's hard to stop listening to secular music da truth fills that void and he raps the word it makes you want read about what he's rapping he Is a great artist and his music encourages many including me
Great artist... Look like a brilliant album lyrically but I am very disappointed with the sound, beats and all... Its sounds too commercial. I thought crunk was and 808 were dead.... I am still looking out for a hip hop album with a cool old skool beat. e.g. Grits - Reiterate (something to beat that album)
Well, either you believe God inspired his music or you don't. If you think God gave him the music, then God does not think it is too commercial right?:
Dude... If u understand music then u would acknowledge the fact that the best indie albums are experimental. Hence, I think Reiterate definately sits in the same place as Factors of the 7 and Grammatical Revolution (classic hip hop albums). The is too much dirty south and 808 in music today. I think both 808 and dirty south beats become irritating after a numba of spins.... I love Da Truth and I wish him all the best.... seen him live - he flows in his calling...
haha don't worry i kno what those albums are n truuust me i understand music very well. its alot more than the beats, a beat is ONE piece 2 the big puzzle. regardless i don't think they put themselves into the album at all save 4 like 3 songs n its not a matta o me not listenin 2 those styles bcaus i do n i love it when artists experiment but i've heard plenty o experimental albums by artists that were betta retrospectively. i simply didn't like it n don't think its that good.
Seems to be a good album. I know that Da' Truth is known for speaking Da' Truth,so I'm excited for him about this recent project. May many people grow closer to God from it.
