@gabiruperneta as italian I feel disappointed by this comment. Now, I'm not going to lie: cristianoserati said something REALLY stupid, but it doesn't mean you recognise stupid people by political choises. Ok, not going to argue about this, just hey, I love coffee and milk, and I'm sure this art is exquisite too :)

I'm an Italian Master Coffetter and i think that's good to see but one of the worste cappuccino to drink.....i don't care if you like it...i never will drink this product.
@wasiek01 I disagree, the foam on top would taste unsavory. While it looks really cool, the best art is the kind that can be made instantly, as the drink itself loses none of its flavor, just my opinion anyway
no. It makes coffee with 1,2 bars pressure. To get a crema, you need 9 bars pressure. No more, no less. And all the art is about staining that delicate crema. Thats what makes it so hard. If you had a cup espresso with a good crema plus perfect milk froth like that, most people could get a decent latte art... but the making of milk froth and perfect espresso in itself is the hardest thing.... imo, that is
ah yeah, sry. more pressure works for crema, though you'll be over extracting your shot and the coffee itself wouldn't taste just as good.. oh well - you probably wouldn't notice much difference unless you're a cupping world champion or the like :)
hey, was the coffee cold when you finished? you should have got the milk you steamed and poured the milk in anouther pitcher, leaving the foam in the jug, then have poured the foam around the cup. dont you think?
Hmm COLD COFFEE!!!

And how do you know how it tastes? I don't recall serving you one. There is nothing that alters the taste. It tastes like normal cappuccino.

@cristianoserati What a complete dickish and elitist thing to say.
Personally I think it looks great, and while I usually have my lattes straight, a bit of chocolate now and again is nice also.

How do you make milk foam at home?
I have a stove top espresso maker. Will that work for the base?

mikedub1219 3 years ago
ive started doing this at home when i make home latte's.. but what is the chocolate looking stuff? is it just choc sauce or something else
D3UC3 3 years ago
It is just chocolate sauce. The thing is milk foam must be very silky to keep the sauce up. If the foam is bubbly, it won't work.

good job on the etching... but not a big fan as by the time you finish the job the coffee is already cold. that's why I only do free pour. hehe
