  • Where did you get the print outs??

  • @DigiCube0

    just google

  • what's the music in the background?

  • @PuPsKiiAirsoftvids

Blood Upon the Risers, original 101st Airborne version

  • @JessesWarMovies

I have already ordered M1 helmets replica and some Vietnam era Flak Jacket on Ebay nearly three weeks ago but still it have not been delivered.

  • @JessesWarMovies

I find most items very high price so i choose to find some in ebay. But anyway thanks!

  • @MrRichie1945

No probs. To be honest, if you are only making films I don't see the problem with cheap gear. The textures are completely wrong and they can't handle abuse like the good repros but for movie making or amateur enthusiam sure :D

  • Thanks!

  • Hey, i like to know where you get these uniforms? But i'm looking forward to spend about $200 aus. Can you help me?

  • @MrRichie1945

Hey mate. Depends what quality you're after. The stuff in this video is from At The Front, in the states. For $200 aussie you would be able to buy just the uniform jacket and trousers, excluding postage. If you don't care about quality or aren't going to reenact seriously there is an Australian based site called Toppots which has a chinese M42 uniform deal and reasonable postage if you were in the same country.

  • is the m1 cartridge belt khaki? sorry i cant tell. also, ive only ever seen a tan canteen cover, so is there a green one?

thanks, nice video, i like it,

  • @jkrogstad5

by green i mean olive drab, sorry

  • @jkrogstad5

Hey cheers mate. The M1923 cartridle belt, M1910 canteen cover and all the other tan looking pieces of fieldgear are all actually olive drab #3. Even though they don't match in colour, they come under the same shade. The 'green' gear you see if olive drab #7, and pretty much every piece of field gear was made in OD#7 as well as OD#3 from 1943. Both colours were issued which is why in original photos you see mix ups in gear. People these days just seem to like full OD#3 lol

  • @JessesWarMovies

ah. that explains alot. thanks. yesterday i got an m1 cartridge belt, and m1936 suspenders.

    thanks for the info

  • @jkrogstad5

Haha nice, got a uniform? No problem :D

  • @JessesWarMovies

ya, should be comming in the next couple days. but i have another question. should i invest my money in a paratrooper,or officer(infantry); i am aware that a paratrooper's stuff is more expensive. note, i am too young to get a job, so spending a lot of dabloons means it will take awile to get more money.

    thanks

  • @jkrogstad5

Its entirely up to you. One thing to consider is if you want to reenact..who does your local unit portray? In fact the basic uniform of each comes up to about the same price. The only cost difference is paratroopers had more gear issued, so if you wanted the extra gear it would cost more. But you don't have to buy a full pre jump kit. A basic paratroopers impression would be similar in cost to infantry. lol same here. All the money for my kit was through delivering newspapers >.<

  • I got something like that and I pay airsoft so i used an m16a1 and it goes great with it conssidering the fact that they were still using some ww2 gear in nam

  • @ltveco8

Well yeah but in Vietnam they weren't using the same uniforms or websets (very few exceptions with webbing like the M1916 holster, but in Vietnam they were black instead of the WW2 brown) The only real things that carried on into Vietnam were mess kits and accessories, entrenching tools, and some weapons etc

  • nice kit bro

  • @honk267

Morning mate. Haha thanks yeah this is my new hobby :D

  • the shovle was an infantry one because the airborne used the t shaped one and the infantry one had the part you dig with fold so it could go on the backpack thing

  • @Soupa000

Actually the M1910 and M1943 folding models were both used by the Airborne. The most common infantry shovel was the M1910 T Handle, and the M43 shovel was also used but not as extensive. Both of them were compatible with the M1928 Haversack rig. For Airborne, the 101st mainly used the M43 Folding E tool, and the 82nd with the M1910 T handle, of which most had been cut down to shorten them for the jump. Of course the 101st also used M1910s and the 82nd M43's also.

  • @Soupa000

Sorry but are you a WW2 collector yet you don't know who was issued what?

  • very time i here you talk about the shipping makes me thankful to be in the US

  • @WWIjacob

Haha. And you should be thankful that you can have full auto airsoft guns there that are legal at any age. Then again, there are pros to be a New Zealander, just not in reenacting lol

  • what is the name of the song in the backround

  • @gamer30003

Blood Upon the Risers, original 101st Airborne version

  • Thank you very much, you were a great help to me in getting a uniform of my own.

  • @MrALEJANDRO13579

    No problems mate :D

  • @LOLROAMER

Everything in the vid except for things like ration boxes all came in one package. You can still buy the 506th helmet separately for $150 USD from At the Front (same as mine)

  • do you know if the airborne troops wore chevrons later in the war like the battle of the bulge? I am getting a uniform soon and need to know thanks!

  • @dstruxness

Hey mate. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't say so. Because winter clothing was in such short supply during the Bulge and the situation was so desperate, I don't think the guys would've had the time to sew them on, and they probably didn't care. And seeing as they weren't issued any new equipment for the Bulge, they may not have even received chevrons anyway. Despite all that though, chevrons are correct to wear on your wool or cotton undershirt. Cheers

  • @JessesWarMovies Thanks!

  • @dstruxness

    No probs :D

  • whats up with brits and 101st you know ur country fought too

  • @schoolboy50cal

Yeah dude I'm toally aware. I just love the equipment and weapons of the US Paratroopers

  • @JessesWarMovies u got some nice gear though and i wasnt calling u british

  • @schoolboy50cal

    lol I know. Cheers :D

  • Very nice!!

  • @PrisonBreaker852

    Thanks mate

  • DUDE GET RID OF THE CHARMS! THEY ARE VERY VERY BAD LUCK!

  • @chris35128

Haha, really? Well hopefully they won't be cause they're fake, and besides, the Army created the Paratroopers to deal with bad luck haha

  • that very nice buddy !

  • @molleke12

    Thanks :D

  • @JessesWarMovies

    no problem you'r welcome

got a question its that a german shovel

  • @molleke12

Nah thats an original American M43 Folding shovel :D

  • @JessesWarMovies ok

    i thought that

    my fault ;D

  • @molleke12

    No problem lol

  • @JessesWarMovies

    hhah xd

  • How much did you pay for all the gear?

  • @NZWW2

From memory $876 USD including shipping. Then customs charged me $116 NZ GST when it got into Auckland!! lol. So idk to be exact but it all up it cost like $1300 NZ. I also bought a trouser belt and suspenders that I forgot to show in the vid.

  • Nice, impressive kit. So you bought this, almost all at once?

  • @WWIIUSInfantryGear

Yeah I bought everything at once, except for the stuff I made of course :D

  • @JessesWarMovies That's awesome. :)

  • hi again i went on at the front and saw an $85 one but i think its Us $ and how much will shipping cost?

  • @NZWW2

Its all in US dollars and shipping for the helmet would be over 50 bucks. Thats why you should probly buy a postwar one off trademe lol

  • Hi i live in auckland i am 13 and im trying to finda ww2 helmet or replica for $120 or under do you think you could tell me were to get one cheers.

  • Hi i live in Auckland. Im very interested in ww2 and for some time ive been trying to find a m1 helmet but i cant find one do you know were i can get one for around

    $120NZD or under.

  • @NZWW2

Hey. If you're looking for a proper WW2 original M1 helmet you will have to get that from At The Front or something but it would cost like $150 NZ without shipping. But if you just want a normal M1 Helmet you should be able to get one for well under $120. Just look around on trademe mainly. I got a complete M1 helmet for $50 NZ off there.

  • wats the song???

  • @MrCouchpotato93

Its the original 101st Airborne version of Blood Upon the Risers

  • @DieWehrmacht1944

Yeah I love the M1A1 Carbine. Maybe I'll make one if I ever get the chance. Lol I can imagine, are you making it out of metal rod or something? Also I'm not too clued up on the receiver detail on the Carbine

  • @DieWehrmacht1944

Damn dude thats awesome! All original should cost you like a million times than what you got them for. And I'm literally itching to get the M1 done! It's taken so long already and you can see how hardcore I'm into the hobby so you can probably feel my pain haha

  • hey if ud liek i can send u a link to a pattern fro morphine boxes pm if interested

  • @sunchipsism

Thanks mate but I'm pretty sure I can get morphine boxes off 501para. I've recently made two 20 cartridge boxes for 30-06 and I don't know where I'd put the morphine box in my kit lol. Most of my stuff now is in the GP Ammo Bag

  • @DieWehrmacht1944

No doubt its gonna be the best replica on youtube, but I'll need support from you guys for it to be as popular as NicR94s guns etc. I even have a "The Making" video on it which will be the first part in the big video. It shows the progress of the whole project with The Pacific theme in the background :D

  • @DieWehrmacht1944

Yeah man you don't wanna be buying that asian stuff off ebay for a quarter of the price. I'm really happy I decided to keep saving and buy the proper stuff. I don't know if I have a favourite piece of gear but I just love my jump uniform lol, and I fully agree about the postage. Nah the Garand isn't finished, my Dad's been working alot lately and I don't wanna cheap out on it by myself. But hes on holiday now and finishing isn't far away, but its definitely worth the wait

  • finally got ur gear lol u must be happy and just b4 christmas

  • @scooterkrew100

yeah it arrived on the first day of the hols lol

  • nice video-ing, and awesome gear,

  • @BandofBrothersDeath

  • great gear, great song too! i really like your web gear, it looks just like mine.

  • @HowYouSayOwned

Cheers! Yeah its the original 101st Airborne version of Blood Upon The Risers. I forgot to show the trouser belt, trouser suspenders and my M1911A1 airsoft gun but oh well lol. You should do a video on your gear

  • @JessesWarMovies yeah iv just been so busy lately. i think ill be able to get around to it eventualy though.

  • nice kit im looking at about the same

  • @sirjogs

Yeah at least get the basic stuff. I got extras like the GP Ammo Bag and Horsehide Gloves etc

  • nice kit man but how much was the postage lol i ws shocked

  • @101stairbornedan

Haha I know. It was exactly $151 US EMS postage so around $200 NZ. It really sucks for us New Zealanders being so far away lol
