  • Actually he wasn't referred to as "Bat" Masterson until much later in his life.

  • I only watched 3 mins of it and will watch the rest of it in the morning and comment again <3 But this was a very great documentary you did on my great great great uncle <3 I'm sure my father will be thrilled to see this X3

  • Another item that was not mentioned was that Masterson was a Marksman with a pistol and staged shooting contests so people could observe his skills before starting trouble.

I think he also did the written boxing commentary for the John L. Sullivan Vrs, Gentleman Jim Corbet fight.

    You "Historians" can research that.

  • cresce>>> porém quando criança via muito esse seriado do qual já mais esquecerei esse heroi me fez crescer no lado bom da vida... sua incomparavel virtude era propanar só o bem!!!! virtude essa que sigo

  • Good job western nerds...I Mean Pardners! THEY HIM BAT... BAT MASTERSON!

  • I think that deserves some recognition for accoplishing so much and moving all around the country and the west at a time when that was fairly dangerous. I could go on and on, ha, but I'll spare you the biased interest and trivial knowledge.

  • Hahah, yeah, no I agree with you. I chose to do this project on Bat Masterson back when I was in high school cause I did some research on him and he seemed to have done such interesting stuff, and oddly enough there seemed to be little info on him, so yeah, I agree with you! He was a really interesting guy. It'd be cool to one day see a feature length drama based on his life. It seems a long time coming!

  • William Barclay (Bat) Masterson was my Great-Great-Uncle. You were respectful in your presentation of who he really was, although you left out that he was good friends and deputy with Wyatt Earp and that he slaughtered Comanche Warriors at the 'Battle of Adobe Walls.' Many of his media made myths have caused a great rift between the factual data and legend. By his own real merits, he was a gifted writer and feared lawman who really got people talking back in the day. Anyways, good film!

  • Wow! Really? That's pretty intense man. Well I am honored then, and glad, that you liked the film, especially since I made it a bit silly and cartoonish. If an actual relative of Bat Masterson says they like it, then I guess I have done well. Heheh, thanks for the comment, it's quite appreciated!

  • You bet. It's strange that there's really only one good biography written on him, because he had a huge reputation about a hundred years ago and of course the campy 1950's T.V. show made more waves. Other than that, he has been relatively faded out in favor of other Western legends. Teddy Roosevelt made him marshall of Southern New York State and of course he was a famous sports journalist.

  • I wish my junior class' videos were this good!! awesome. seeing this definitely says, there's some kinda filmmaker here!

  • Aw thanks! Yeah, I am actually really proud of this, for I think it is as informative as it is funny, and that, as a whole, it actually works moderately well.

  • the sad thing is this is really good

  • Well...thanks. I think?

Heheheh. I dunno what's sad about it, but I think I'll take the compliment anyway? Sure, why not!
