As great a song as this is, I don't think it would have gotten all that far in the actual eurovision. Eurovision is nothing more than a big ass popularity contest. And unfortunately Jedward are popular. They're known worldwide, whereas Nikki is pretty much unheard of...

Could someone please explain to me why Northern Ireland was allowed to vote for who gets to go to represent Ireland in the Eurovision because technogly they are apart of the United kingdom and they deemed themselves to be apart of it. Especially with the whole xfactor Jedward thing in the UK.I think Northern Ireland had a huge influence on the public vote.It should have been only the Republic who were allowed to vote for Ireland's representative for the Eurovision not both.

yeah and with the change to the voting the juries have more power now than the public because Universal (Jedwards recording company) release a 30 second preview of their song so in order to avoid disqualification from the eurosong 2011 the voting stats were changed so that the juries have more voting power than the public now do

I doubt the public vote will be won by anyone except Jedward, so we have to rely on the juries.
